MATTHEW 11 11-19

“Truly, I tell you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 12 From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven is being boldly received by the “eager in pursuit” [biastés]. 13 For the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John, 14 and if you’re willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come. {John who said the axe is ready to fall.. aNd people were eager for God’s KINGDOM, which few mention, let alone proclaim? ..As of now.} 15 Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear. 16 But to what shall I compare this generation? It’s like children sitting in the marketplace, calling out to their playmates, 17 ‘We played the flute for you, but you didn’t dance. We sang a dirge, but you didn’t mourn.’ 18 For John comes neither eating or drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ 19 The Son of Man comes eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look!
