10-27 - 1 Corinthians 3 1-6

1 - But, I (Paul) couldn’t address you as spiritual, but as still carnal! For you were as infants in Christ. 2 I fed you with milk, for you weren’t ready for solid food. And even now you’re not ready. 3 For while there is jealousy, arguments, strife and division among you - are you not still being carnal? Behaving only in the {lower} human {selfish, self interest, self first} way? 4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another says, “I follow Apollos,” are you not being merely divisive? {With its eventual dislike? And like the world can progress to hatred, perhaps war? Every division/dislike/hate believes itself righteous, even enlightened.. more than and better than.. worthy to be spit out, a product of actually being luke warm due to still self first, hence not sacred/hagios (separated) translated holy (whoLe, real).} 5 What then is Apollos? {A good teacher “knowledgeable in the scripture”.} What is Paul?! We are only servants of the LORD. Servants through whom you received God’s message. 6 I planted, Apollos watered. But God is the one who gave and gives the growth. {It’s God’s work. In the world, politics actually has core values - among the people, that is - and parties are different views on how to actally achieve those core values. But! Demonizing one another gets followers and votes. But is highly corrosive, a very bad portent. It is way too easy to convince the carnal to embrace, first superiority, and then sadly, hate. Opposite of Love.}

16 - Don’t be misled, my beloved brethren! 17 Every good gift, every perfect gift, is from above! It comes down from the Father of light [of photon - radiance]. And he is not like the shifting shadows that change throughout each day. 18 It is his own will that he brought us forth by the word/message/reasoning/logos of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. {To serve called reigning during Jesus’ long second advent? Full scope version of his first so brief one? Note: the three mentions of lake of fire are at huge fiery events.}

      19 Know this, my beloved, let every one be quick to hear, but slow to speak, and slow to anger. 20 For human anger doesn’t produce the righteousness {and rightness} of God. 21 Therefore having put away all moral contamination and rampant wickedness [kakopoiéō - wicked disposition, malice, wickedness] {state of hatred? malice, galatians 5:20} receive with humility the implanted word [logos - reasoning, root word of logic] which is able to save your souls [psuché - soul, life, self, inner being]. 22 But don’t deceive and mislead yourself! Being only hearers of the word. But be doers of it! [Doer - performer, poet.]

11 - Whoever hates [miseó - to hate, detest, love less, esteem less] despises their brother [adelphos - from the same womb] {all from Eve, their fellow person/others} IS in the dark. And walking in darkness, not knowing where they stumble, because the darkness has blinded their eyes. {It’s MY heart I need to judge. But “the world” is awash with suspicion, blame, accusation, judging, condemning -> division. And human nature seems to be super prone to it, even among believers in our Lord, straining over gnats, complaining about others past and present, judging before its time.. Thinking “we’re doing it right, others are not, have not, etc, etc. Our specific way of thinking is superior.. others inferior.. same old same old.}

     12  I (John) am writing to you, little children {newbies, lol} because for his name's [onoma - authority, CAUSE, name’s] sake, your sins/“missing the mark” is forgiven. 13 I’m writing to you, fathers, because you’ve known he who is from the beginning. I’m writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I’m writing to you, children, because you know the Father.

     14 I write to you, fathers, because you know he who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and 🗝️the word of God lives/abides in you, and (so) you overcome the evil one.

God's Awesome Plan

For some reason I ended up reading about rebellion under Moses, in Numbers, and rebellion against David, in Chronicles, all in one day. I'm struck with how the message was 'if you rebel against my King, you cannot live' and how that is ultimate reality! (Psalm 2)
- God is life itself, the life force. To rebel against Him, to wander from Him, (surely?) is to wander from life and living. After both resurrections and the long day of 'judgment' (of all human history, etc) perhaps there might be some hold out, who says 'no, I choose not to believe, keep my name out of that book of life!'
- Maybe someone will have hardened their heart so hard against God, and hate Him enough to choose non-existence for their self. And all the crowd that does live, both heavenly and earthly, would mourn deeply. And no one would mourn more than the Father and the Son.. But wait! There's the Lake Of Fire! Put him in the lake of fire for an age and even another age if need be.. for cleansing by God's spiritual fire. For our God is a consuming fire.
