10-12 - Gal 4 8-20 Mark 12 12-27

8TH ‘DAY’ CU Journal, New Testament In A Year

Verses paraphrased due to ©‘s [ref] {thots}

            ☀️ A.M. Galatians 4:8-20

8 - Before, when you didn’t know God, you were in bondage to and submitted to those who by nature are not gods. 9 But now that you have come to know God, or rather - to be known by Him - how can you turn back and be slaves once again to weak, elementary principles of the world, that don’t work? 10 You (consider as demanded/required/mandatory to) observe days and months, seasons and years! 11 I’m afraid I may have labored over you in vain! 12 So I entreat you, become as I am, for I also have become as you (gentiles) are! {In this matter.}

     You did me no wrong. 13 As you know, at first, it was in weakness, that I proclaimed the good news to you. 14 And though my {health} condition {of his eyes} was a trial to you, you didn’t scorn or despise me, but you received me as though I was a messenger of God, or even as Christ Jesus himself!

     15 What then! Has become of your blessedness? For I testify that, if possible, you would have gouged out your own eyes and given them to me. 16 Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?

     17 They flatter and make a big deal of you. But that’s for no good purpose. They want to shut you out. So you will make a big deal of {and will follow} them.

     18 It is always good to be zealous for a good purpose! And not only when I’m with you. 19 My dear children, for whom I am again in the anguish of childbirth until Christ is formed in you! 20 I wish I could be present with you now and change my tone, but I am perplexed about you!

     {Paul was a discipler.}

            πŸŒ™ P.M. MARK 12:12-27

12 - And they (leaders, authorities) were seeking to arrest him. But they feared the people, and they knew he had told the parable against them, so they left. 13 But then they sent some Pharisees and Herodians to try to trap him in his words.

     14 They came and said to him, “Teacher, we know you are true and don’t care about other’s status. For you’re not swayed by appearances, but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar? Should we pay them? Or should we not pay them?”

     15 But, knowing their hypocrisy {and it was a death sentence to deny Caesar) Jesus said to them, “Why put me to the test? Bring me a coin and we’ll look at it.”

     16 So they brought a coin, and he asked them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” They said, “Caesar's.”

     17 So he said, “Render to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's.” And they marveled at his answer.

     18 Then some Sadducees came, who say there’s no resurrection. And they asked him, 19 “Teacher, Moses wrote that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife, but leaves no child, the man should marry the widow and raise up a son for his brother. 20 There were seven brothers and the first took a wife, and when he died left no child. 21 And the second wed her, and died, also leaving no child. And the third likewise. 22 And also with all seven, and left no child. Last of all the woman also died. 23 In the resurrection, when they rise again, whose wife will she be? For the seven wed her.”

     24 Jesus said to them, “Is it not true, that you are very wrong? Because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God. 25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither wed nor are - given - in marriage, but are like the angels in heaven.

     26 And as for the dead, the deceased being raised, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I’m the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? 27 He’s not God of the dead, but of the living. You greatly err.” (Jesus said “All those in the tombs/graves” {not dungeons, lol} “will hear God’s voice, and will come forth. Some into the resurrection of life” {into THE millennium, to serve called reigning..? During long 2nd advent, surely(?) a full scope version of his 1st so brief one. After all, that’s the way of prophecy.

     “And some” he said, “will rise into the resurrection of judgment” (Jn.5:28-29). Surely that can be none other than “the” GWT Judgment (and surely?) discernment, review of history and closure for all ‘Day’ - which elsewhere He calls agelasting correction [“kolasin aionion” oR “korrection eonian”] age of correction! Mt.25:46, 3rd quarter of the Lord’s long second advent? See Rev.20, which is written like describing just the crests of waves, and then Leviticus 23. It’s veiled in a number of ways, how utterly PERFECTLY Jesus 1st advent fulfilled the Spring Holy Days (of Lev.23).

     So then what are we to think of the Fall Holy Days? (Lev.23 as well.) The names and the pattern. Too close to be meaningless. The Aionion Kolasis.. etc. The ancient holy days as type and shadow like so much else. And — of course — the completing of Jesus’ drawing of aLL, JN.12:32.

      It seems to me to trad lime an outline: The 3 Holy Days - #1-Trumpets (of Rev. & return) 1Odays/1OOOyrs later - onterlude, Satan released and he gathers to Armageddon2, and then his fieRy final defeat {he was adversary/accelerant} then — #2-Day of Atonement. And, 5days/5OOyrs later — #3-Tabernacles! “God will now tabernacle/tent/dwell with mankind, behold! I make all [pas - all, every, the whole] new!” Via the fiery regeneration (2nd vivification, 1st and 2nd making it “universal”. DOA for the initially doa..? Rich man and Lazarus parable, and the outside of the vision narrative of Rev.22, portray initiaL, inneR conditions of some during GWT aionion kolasis..

     The fieRy “palin/again-genesis” (Rev.21:1-5, 2Pet.3:12-13) is how death dies.}

Jesus “will draw all” Jn.12:32.

have a good day! ☀️πŸ•Š️

1 - Then the high priest asked Stephen, “Are these accusations true?” 2 To this he replied: “Brothers and fathers, listen to me! The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran. 3 Leave your country and your people,’ God said, ‘and go to the land I will show you.’ 4 So Abraham left the land of the Chaldeans and lived in Haran until his father died. Then God brought him here to the land where you now live. 5 And God gave him no inheritance in it, not even enough to set his foot on. But even when Abraham had no child, He promised to give it to him for a possession, and to his descendants after him. 6 God spoke to him in this way: ‘For four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own. They will be slaves and mistreated. 7 And the nation to which they will be in bondage, I will judge,' God said, 'and after wards they will come out and will serve me in this place.'” (AFter the slavery and after the judgment - earthly, btw - then they will laud Him - micro fulfillment and example.)

     8 “God also gave Abraham the covenant of circumcision at that time. So when Abraham became the father of Isaac, he circumcised him on the eighth day. And the practice was continued when Isaac became the father of Jacob, and also when Jacob became the father of the twelve fathers of the Israelite nation.” (On the “8th day” the “last great day” - Lev.23:36, Jn.7:37 - imperfection/“hamartia-missing the mark, translated sin, will be totally  circumcised from off of mankind. God hides the Truth in plain sight and says it over and over.) 9 “Because the brothers were jealous of Joseph, they sold him as a slave into Egypt. But God was with him 10 and rescued him from all his troubles. He gave Joseph wisdom and enabled him to gain the goodwill of Pharaoh king of Egypt. So Pharaoh made him ruler over Egypt and all his palace (and resources). 11 Then famine and its suffering swept across Egypt and Canaan, and our fathers could not find food. 12 Father Jacob heard that there was still grain in Egypt, so he sent his sons—our ancestors, the brothers—to buy some. 13 It was on their second trip that Joseph told them who he was, and Pharaoh learned about Joseph's family. 14 Then Joseph sent for his father, Jacob, and all his relatives to come to Egypt, seventy-five persons in all.

     15 So Jacob went to Egypt. He died there, as did our ancestors, the fathers. 16 Later their bodies were taken back to Shechem and placed in the tomb that Abraham had bought from the sons of Hamor.

     Very Brief Outline of Acts:

Jesus returns to where he was with the Father before his advent/visit (his brief first one).

The Holy Spirit/Presence of God is poured out on the believers who were in Jerusalem on the late Spring holy day of Pentecost. Peter speaks, there are 3000 new believers that day.

The good news message spreads, Peter is invited and goes to a Roman’s house and all believe. The first record of non Hebrew believers (besides likely some on Pentecost).

     Persecution breaks out.. jail. stoning. Pharisee Saul leads the persecution, but on his way to Damascus with papers for arrests, Jesus makes himself seen but is so bright Paul falls to the ground and is blinded. After two days he is healed and is a believer, and soon is called Paul. He wrote many (to most) of the New Testament letters, but spent a few years (it seems to me) exclusively listening to the Lord. He established many ‘churches’ in what’s called three missionary journeys, and met and worked with Mark and Luke, and quite a few others. (Luke wrote this Book of Acts.) His fourth journey is to Rome to trial as a prisoner. There’s a shipwreck on the way.. He wrote many of his letters while in prison and under ‘house’ arrest.
