REVELATION - 9 13-21

Weekly Book of Revelation CU Studies Journal, Verses paraphrased due to ©‘s [ref] {thots}

༺✧༻ πŸπŸ‚༺✧༻

(Review: out of the smoke {of widespread warfare?} came loud locust like tormenting mankind for five months. {Marshall Law enforced?})

     13 - When the sixth angel blew his trumpet, I (John) heard a voice coming from the four horns {directions/winds?} of the golden altar before God, 14 and it said to the sixth angel who had the sixth trumpet, “Release the four angels that have been bound at the great river Euphrates.”

     15 So the four angels, prepared {by whom?} for the hour, day, month, and year, were released that they may slay a third of mankind. 16 The number of mounted troops - twice ten thousand times ten thousand is the number I heard. {This is at the 6th trumpet blast, so late. The revelation vision is told three times. Like a production with sort of(?) “meanwhiles” or, seeing it from different aspects — 6:1-2 to 11:19; ch.12, verse 17 w/ Mt.23:39; and 13:1 to 19:11.. the three rejoining at the 7th trumpet’s sounding at armageddon battle w/ harpazo, Mt.13:30! Imo.}

     17 And this is the appearance of the horses in the vision, and those sitting atop them having fiery breastplates {shiny, reflective?} and hyacinth (dark blue or deep purple) and brimstone/sulfur {blue-ish. yellow, and fiery red?} And their heads were like lion heads (big) and fire, smoke, and sulfur came out of their mouths. 18 By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed, by the fire (red), smoke (deep blue?) and brimstone (yellow) coming out of their mouths. (Previously, Rev.8:13 had said, “Woe! Woe! Woe [ouai - alas! woe!] to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts (that were) about to be sounded by the other three angels!” Trumpets five - locusts like out of the smoke; six - lion like for war; and seven.] 19 For the power of the {lion like} horses [6th trumpet] is in their mouths and in their tails, for their tails are like serpents with heads, and by means of them they wound. {Make war?}

     20 The rest of mankind, who weren’t killed by these plagues, didn’t repent of the works of their hands. [Their works -  ergon - work, deeds, actions, labors {agenda?}] Nor did they repent/turn from their worshiping of demons and idols made of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood, which can’t see, hear, or walk. 21 Nor did they repent of their murders and their sorceries [pharmakos - poisoning, sorceries, magic, enchantments, mesmerising] nor did they repent of their sexual immoralities and thefts.

8TH ‘DAY’ CU Journal, New Testament In A Year

Verses paraphrased due to ©‘s [ref] {thots}

            ༺☀️༻ 1 Corinthians 4:7-13

7 - So what is so wonderful about you?! {Or any!} What do any of us have that we didn’t receive? And if we received it, why do we act as though we didn’t receive it? {There were still some miracles occurring, and any insights we receive, are just that, received.. A lucky shake of the heavenly dice.}

    8 Already, you, have attained all! You already have become the most richly blessed! Without us you have become kings! I wish you did reign, so we might share in the reigning with you! {They were being wheat still with its chaff.. Thinking of self as better etc.}

     9 Sometimes I think God has exhibited us apostles as last of all, like being sentenced to death, for we’ve become a mockery to the world, to angels, and to all mankind.

     10 We are fools for Jesus’ sake, but you, you’re wise! We’re weak, but you’re strong! You’re held in honor, but we’re held in disrepute. 11 To this day we hunger and thirst, we’re poorly dressed. We’re beat about and homeless. 12 And we labor, working with our own hands, for our own support.

     When insulted, we bless. When persecuted, we endure.

    13 When slandered, we encourage and comfort. Yet we’ve become {to the world} as garbage, and cast offs.

            ༺☾𖀓༻ MARK 13:28-37

[Jesus continues.] 28 - “Learn a lesson from the fig tree. As soon as you see the branches become tender with buds, and put out leaves, you know soon summer is coming. 29 So too, when you see these things I’ve told you about taking place, know that your Lord is near, at the very gates. 30 Truly, I tell you, this generation/race [genea] will not pass away until all these things occur. 31 (This) Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

     32 But concerning that day, or what hour, no one knows. Not the angels in heaven. Not even the Son. But only the Father. 33 So be watching and on guard. For you don’t know the time of its coming.

     34 It’s like someone going on a long journey, when he leaves, he puts his hired servants in charge, each with their work, and commands the gate keeper to stay awake and watchful. 35 Therefore stay attentive, for you don’t know when the master of the house is returning - in the evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or in the morning - 36 lest he come suddenly and find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you I say to all, stay awake and be watchful.”

10-30 - 1 Cor 4 1-6 Luke 21 28-33

8TH ‘DAY’ CU Journal, New Testament In A Year

Verses paraphrased due to ©‘s [ref] {thots}

           ༺☀️༻ 1 Corinthians 4:1-6

1 - How should we teachers be regarded? As servants of Christ and as keepers of the mysteries of God. 2 And! It’s required of stewards and keepers to be found faithful. 3 It’s a small matter if I (Paul) should be judged by you, or by a human court. In fact, I don’t even judge myself! 4 For I’m not aware of anything against myself. Yet that doesn’t guarantee I’m innocent - it’s the

Lord who judges!

     5 Therefore we should not pronounce judgments {division is the world’s voice?} before the time - before the Lord comes! For HE will bring to light the hidden things of darkness {☠ especially of the world and all enchantments} and will disclose the genuine motives of hearts. Then each one will receive their good word from God.

     6 I’ve applied all these things to myself and Apollos as an example, that you may benefit from learning, and know not to go beyond what’s written, that no one be puffed up, competing and divisive with one another. {Don’t see people as on levels, placing self on the highest level? lol. Nor sect against one another. We can find common ground without agreeing about all things. Besides Truth is the only thing that stands tall and endures. It doesn’t need us to make quarrels/war over it. Conversation is good. Say it once and move on. Besides, prayer is vastly more superior and works upon us as well as ‘them’, makes things “straight”. God surely is Life, and we know he’s Love.. And well, only Life can rule. This school of hard knocks and important contrast is surely(?) unavoidable.}

            ༺☾𖀓༻ LUKE 21:28-33

[Jesus continued..] 28 - “Now when these things begin to take place, stand tall! Lift up your heads, because the time of deliverance is drawing near!”

     29 And so he told them a parable, “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. {Israel and the nations?} 30 As soon as they leaf, you see for yourselves that summer is almost here. 31 So also, when you see these things I’ve told you about taking place, you know the kingdom of God is near.

     32 Truly, I tell you, this generation [genea - race, family, or generation] will noT pass away until [heΓ³s - until, as long as, while] all has taken place.

     33 Heaven and earth could pass away, but my words never will.” {The adversary&co keep trying, but that race will noT disappear. As will none of humanity’s beautiful branches.}

10-29 - 1 Cor 3 16-23 Mark 13 24-27

8TH ‘DAY’ CU Journal, New Testament In A Year

Verses paraphrased due to ©‘s [ref] {thots}

           ༺☀️༻ 1 Corinthians 3:16-23

16 Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? {Dn.12:11-12 w/ Lk.19:41,44?} 17 If anyone ruins God's temple {with bad/misleading teaching} God will ruin them! For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.

     18 Let no one deceive their self. If anyone among you thinks they are wise in this day and age, let them become a fool {to the world’s ways and views} that they may be genuinely wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is folly, and it’s written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness,” 20 and again, “The LORD knows their thoughts, that they’re futile.” {Empty and pointless.} 21 So don’t exalt human leaders, 22 whether Paul, Apollos or Peter. For the world, life or death, the present or the future, all is yours, 23 for you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.

ACTS 14 1-28

Luke wrote “of the things fulfilled among us” paraphrased due to ©‘s [ ] ref  { } thots

⛧°. ⋆༺ ~ 𖀓 ~ ༻⋆. °⛧

   Book of the Acts of the First Believers

1 - When they (Paul, Barnabas and others) arrived at Iconium they went to the Jewish/Hebrew synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed. 2 But the unbelieving stirred up the people to turn their minds against the brothers. 3 Yet they remained for a long while, speaking boldly for the Lord, who bore witness by granting signs and wonders done by their hands. [Luke, the author, was a Greek doctor who met Paul when Paul was in his town and Luke then, or later, traveled with Paul and the others at their discipling in various towns, as far as Rome. Luke joins them in this “book of acts”. We know because he uses the word “we” for a while.]

     4 Yet the people of the city were divided. Some sided with the unbelieving and some with the apostles. 5 When an attempt was going to be made by some of the people, both Gentiles and Jews, conspiring with the rulers, to mistreat them, even to stone them, 6 they heard of it and went on to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the surrounding countryside, 7 and there they continued to proclaim the good news.

     8 Now at Lystra there was a man sitting in the town, who had never walked. For he had been born crippled. 9 He was listening to Paul speak. And Paul, seeing him, could see he had faith to be made well.

     10 So he said in a loud voice, “Stand up on your feet!” And so the man sprang up and he began walking. 11 And when the crowds saw what had happened, they raised their voices, saying in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!”12 Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he was the chief speaker.

     13 And the priest of Zeus, whose temple was at the entrance to the city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates and wanted to offer sacrifice to them.

     14 But when Barnabas and Paul heard of it, they tore their garments and rushed out into the crowd, and said loudly, 15 “Men! Why are you doing this!? We are only men like you! We bring you good news! That you should turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that’s in them. 16 In past times he has allowed all nations to walk their own way. 17 Yet he didn’t leave himself without a witness of himself, for he did good by giving rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.”

     18 But even with these words they scarcely restrained the people from offering sacrifice to them.

     19 But soon enough some came from Antioch and Iconium, and having persuaded the crowds, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead. {So quickly.. from one extreme to the other!} 20 But when the disciples gathered around him, he stood up and went back into the city.

     On the next day, he and Barnabas went on to Derbe. 21 And when they had preached the gospel and made many disciples, they returned back through Lystra, Iconium and Antioch (of Pisidia), 22 strengthening the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying it’s through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God. 23 And when they had appointed elders in every group, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they were believing.

    24 After that, they passed through Pisidia and came to Pamphylia. 25 And when they had spoken the message/logos in Perga, they went down to Attalia. 26 And from there they caught a ship and sailed to Antioch (of Syria) from where they had started, having been commended to the grace of God for the work they had been sent out to do.

     27 And when they arrived back at Antioch, they gathered the believers together, and told all that God had done, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles. 28 And they remained for a while with the disciples there.

8TH ‘DAY’ CU Journal, New Testament In A Year

Verses paraphrased due to ©‘s [ref] {thots}

           ༺☀️༻ 1 Corinthians 3:7-15

7 - So whoever plants, and whoever waters, isn’t what matters. But God, who gives the {life and} growth. 8 Those who plant and those who water are working as one, and each will receive wages [misthos - reward, wages, recompense; payment for service, good or bad, literally or figuratively] according to their work. 9 For we are God's fellow workers, and you are God's field, and building. 10 According TO the grace of God, given to me (Paul) like an architect, skilled in his trade, I laid a foundation (there in Corinth) and now someone else is building on it. {Like Truth, God unveils, aNd then, continues to build upon it.}

     Yes each one should take care how they build! 11 For there really is no other foundation than that which has been laid, which is Jesus, the Christ {Messiah, savior from death, and its cause, imperfection/entropy, this slow gehenna, come about because an ant farm is no paradise? And because God iS Life, 1Jn.5:20, and is perfect, Mt.5:48.}

     12 So whoever builds upon the foundation, whether with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, 13 each one's work will be seen for what it is, for The Day {not my upper case} will declare what it is, because in fire all is shown for what sort of work it is. 14 If the work which any of us has built upon the foundation (Jesus) remains, they will receive a reward. 15 If anyone's work doesn’t remain, but is burned up {dust to dust, and, or in armageddon’s fiery flames} though saved, they will suffer loss [zΓ©mioΓ³ - loss, forfeiture].

            ༺☾𖀓༻ LUKE 21:25-27

[Jesus continues.] 25 - “And there will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. And upon earth, the nations will be in confusion and distress because of roaring seas and surging waves [salos - rolling surge].

     26 People will have hearts of foreboding and fear because of what is happening, for the powers of the heavens will also be shaken.” {“Earth will shake to and fro” Isaiah 24/20 “when the seven thunders make their voices heard”? Rev.10:4. …For ‘trib’ length? The math problem of Dan.12:11-12 with Lk.19:41,44 and 1Cor.3:16? During the close of a treaty that alas lasts only seven years?}

    27 “And they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” {In Mt.13:30, Jesus said it will be, “First gather the (still) tares to the (bon)fire, and the wheat into my barn.”}
