ACTS 18 17-28

 Luke wrote “of the things fulfilled among us” paraphrased  [ ] ref  { } thots

     Book of the Acts of the First Believers

17 - And after that the mob seized Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him in front of the tribunal. But proconsul Gallio paid no attention to any of it.

     18 Paul stayed a while longer in Corinth [a year and a half all together] and then he took leave of the brothers and sisters and set sail for Syria. Priscilla and Aquila went with him. At Cenchreae he cut his hair, as part of a vow. 19 And they arrived at Ephesus, whereupon he went to the synagogue and reasoned with the Hebrews (Jews). 20 They asked him to stay longer, 21 but he said, “I’ll be back, if God wills,” and he set sail from Ephesus.

     22 When he landed at Caesarea, he went up (to Jerusalem) and greeted the church, and then he went down to Antioch. 23 After spending some time there, he departed and went from place to place through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.

     24 Meanwhile a Hebrew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent speaker, competent in the Scriptures. 25 He had been instructed in the way of the Lord. And being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately [akribΓ³s - with exact precision] the things concerning Jesus, though he knew only about the baptism of John.

     26 He began to speak boldly in the synagogue, and when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God even more fully. {Explaining the blessing of the Holy Spirit, the Presence of God the Father with us.} 27 And when he wished to cross to Achaia (of Greece) the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to make him welcome. When he arrived in Corinth, he was a great help to those who through grace believed, 28 for he persuasively refuted the non believing in the synagogue, showing by the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ [Christos - anointed one, Messiah].

1 Corinthians 16 8-14

  12/14 ~ From New Testament Letters

    πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

8 - I plan to stay in Ephesus until Pentecost, 9 for a wide door for effective work has opened, but there are many adversaries. 10 When Timothy comes, be sure to put him at ease among you, for he is doing the work of the Lord along with me here. 11 So let no one disregard him {because of his youth}. Help him on his way in peace, that he may return here to Ephesus, for I’m expecting him with the brothers.

     12 Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to visit you with the other brothers, but it was not at all his will to come at this time. But he will come when he has opportunity.

     13 Be watchful! Stand firm in the faith! Be men, be strong! 14 And, let all that you do be done in love. {…Love, and we cannot be overly sensitive in this world. Nor concerning history. Which some do, misinterpreting Father God’s actions and ways in the Old Testament. Think! Think how bAd it can get. Imperfect is not only entropy, but it’s an abyss of potential. I have a new word, cannibaalism. I believe those God took out - and transplanted as into an untilled garden awaiting resurrection into GWT judgment and discernment ‘day’ an “aionion kolasin / eonian korrection / age of correction - will thank God for not letting them do more evil. So the flood, the wanted genocide of the Canaanites - who in their rites would beat a drum to drown out the screams of babies, and children? as they burned them alive to Baal-Molech  ..πŸ€” Is that the original gone rogue one? His dream, his fantasy after all has been that notorious fire.. first told in that so ancient and primordial spiritual propaganda myth.. Do you know there’s a verse that talks about God winning when he is judged during his day in court? ..I’ve felt the moment.. one of universal utter and complete awe struck and profound silence ..then a wave, a crescendo of universal praise..}

1 Corinthians 3 1-6

10/27 ~ From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

         Paraphrased by Necessity

1 - But,  I (Paul) couldn’t address you as spiritual people, but as people still carnal, for you were infants in Christ. (They were baby believers.) 2 I fed you with milk, for you weren’t ready for solid food. And even now you’re not yet ready. 3 For while there’s jealousy, arguments and strife among you, are you not still carnal? Behaving only in the human way? 4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another says, “I follow Apollos,” are you not being merely human? (Not sacred/hagios translated holy.)

     5 What then is Apollos? (A good teacher and preacher “knowledgeable in the scripture”.) What is Paul? We are only servants of the Lord, through whom you believed God’s message. 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God is the one who gave and gives the growth.
