Hebrews 3:7-11  Luke 1:26-38

            ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 3:7-11

7 - Therefore, as the Holy Spirit has said, “Today if you will hear his voice, 8 don’t harden your hearts as in the rebellion, on that other day of testing in the wilderness, 9 where I was put to the test, though they saw my works for forty years! 10 So I was grieved with them, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart. They don’t know my ways.’ 11 As I swore in my wrath [Greek word orgΓ© - passion] {cause and effect as opposed to Ant Farm?} ‘They shall not {cannot} enter my rest.’”

     {“Passion” - God iS Life, surely!? And “is Perfect” Mt.5:48. Life hAs to be perfect! For aLL! There is nothing less that Life/God (His Presence) can tolerate. And he’s passionate about it. Plus purity consumes impurity. It’s an ‘iron’ measure ..truth is an iron rod, an unbreakable measure.}

            πŸŒ™ P.M. Luke 1:26-38

26 - In the sixth month (of “John the baptist” being in the womb) the angel Gabriel was sent (out again) from God (this time) to Nazareth, a city of Galilee, 27 to a maid (maids were virgins) betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary.

     28 Gabriel came and said to her, “Greetings, O favored one, the LORD is with you!”

     29 She was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to think what sort of greeting it might be. 30 And Gabriel said, “Don’t be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God! 31 And look! You will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. And the LORD God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

     34 Mary asked him, “How will this be, since I have never been with a man?” 35 Gabriel answered, “The Holy Spirit{/Presence of God} will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. And so the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. 36 And also, your relative Elizabeth, in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is now the sixth month with her who was said to be barren. 37 For with God, nothing is impossible.”

     38 And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the LORD. Let it be to me according to your word.” {According to what God wants.} And then the angel departed.

     {I asked “why a virgin?” as I was wondering.. always have in the back of my mind I guess. It came back to me “why not?” and “actually, what would be more logical?” He could’ve come in on a chariot? Lol. But he shared the human experience. And the suffering. And also if God is Life, he suffers everything that ever occurs. And created able to think and reason beings anyway.}

26 - Six months later, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to Nazareth, a city of Galilee, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And Gabriel came to her and said, “Greetings, oh favored one!      34 Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I have never been with a man?” 35 And Gabriel answered, “The Holy Spirit (/Presence of God) will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and so the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. 36 And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with she who was called barren. 37 For nothing is impossible to God.” 38 And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaiden of the Lord. Let it happen to me as you have said.” The angel then departed.

LUKE 1 1-25

  πŸƒπŸ•Š️12/17 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

[Luke was a Greek physician who met Paul and traveled with him and company somewhat, and wrote this gospel account and the Book of Acts ..acts of some of the earliest believers.] 1 - Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things that have been fulfilled among us, 2 just as those who from the beginning of it all were eyewitnesses, and then messengers of the word/message they delivered to us, 3 it seemed good to me also, having followed all things closely for some time now, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, 4 that you may have certainty concerning the things you’ve been taught.

     5 In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah, of the division of Abijah. And he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and statutes of the Lord. 7 But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and both were advanced in years.

     8 Now while he was serving as priest before God when on duty with his division, 9 according to the ways of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple and burn incense to the LORD. 10 And all the people were praying outside at the hour of incense. 11 And there appeared to Zechariah an angel of the LORD standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12 And he was troubled and afraid when he saw him. 13 But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice, 15 for he will be great before the Lord. And he will not drink wine or strong drink, but will be filled with the Holy Spirit {/Presence of the LORD} even from his mother's womb. 16 He will turn many of the children of Israel to the LORD their God, 17 and he will go forth in the presence of him, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient [apeithΓ©s - disobedient, unbelieving] to the wisdom of the righteous, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared.” {Prepared, 2Tim.3:16}

     18 And Zechariah said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I’m an old man, and my wife is advanced in years also.” 19 And the angel said, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news. 20 But listen, you will be silent and unable to speak until the day that these things happen, because you didn’t believe my words, but they will be fulfilled on time.” {To prevent his further speaking unbelief/negativity?} 21 And the people were waiting for Zechariah, and they were wondering what was taking him so long in the temple. 22 And when he came out, he was unable to speak, and they realized he had seen a vision. And he kept making signs to them for he was mute. 23 And when his time of service was over, he went home.

     24 After these days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and for five months she kept herself in isolation, saying, 25 “Thus has the Lord done for me in the days when he looked upon me to take away my reputation of being barren.”

GospeL Verses ~ Luke 1:39-45

Soon after her visit from Gabriel, 39 - Mary rose up in haste and went into the hill country, of a town of Judah, 40 to the home of Zechariah and she greeted Elizabeth. 41 And when Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby in her womb leaped. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God) 42 and she exclaimed, “Blessed are you among women! And blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 Why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. 45 And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.”

                ~ Hebrews 3:12-19 ~

12 - Take care, each one of you - lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart - which will lead you to fall away from the living God. 13 But encourage and urge one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none may be hardened, and fall by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we share in Christ, if indeed we stay on course, holding firm our first confidence to the end. 15 As it is said, “Today, if you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” 16 For who were those who heard and yet rebelled? Wasn’t it those who left Egypt led by Moses? 17 And with whom was he provoked for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, who died in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did he swear they would not enter his rest, if not to those who did not follow/obey? 19 So we see - they were unable - to enter because of unbelief. (But there is no ‘forever’ in the verse. That has become habitually assumed.)

  GospeL Verses ~ Luke 1:26-38

26 - In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to Nazareth, a city of Galilee, 27 to a virgin [parthenon - a maiden, a virgin] betrothed/engaged to a man named Joseph, of the house of David. And her name was Mary. 28 And Gabriel said to her, “Hail to you! Favored with grace! The Lord is with you, you are blessed among women!” 29 But Mary was distressed and puzzled at what sort of greeting that might be. 30 So the angel said, “Don’t be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God, 31 for behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great and called Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give him the throne of his father [patΓ©r - father, descendant] David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob (Israel) forever, and of HiS kingdom there will be no end.” (You see why Satan wishes to annihilate all Israel?! Has been attempting and working at it for a very long time. But the culmination will backfire, Mt.13:30 as Rev.16:13-16.) 34 And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be? Since I have never been with a man?” 35 And Gabriel answered her, “The Holy Spirit/Presence will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will [epi-skiazΓ³] overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, and Son of God. 36 And behold, your relative Elizabeth, in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is now the sixth month with her who was called barren. 37 For nothing is impossible with God.” (Nothing at all, is impossible to God. “Perfect” mt.5:48, brings about the most Perfect end result possible (surely!?) From the greek word “tel” which means “end-aim”. He has done and does all things as he has, and does, in order to bring about the best of all possibilities. Being not so much what he hAs created -  “kosmos” - but what he iS creating, Rev.21:1-5, Is.11:7;45:23.) 38 And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaiden of the Lord, let all be as you have said. And Gabriel departed from her.

                     ~ 2 Corinthians 1:15-24

15 - And with this confidence, I was planning to visit so we may have a second blessing of grace. 16 I wanted to visit you on my way to Macedonia, then come back to you from Macedonia, and have you send me on my way to Judea. 17 Did I purpose this lightly, ready to say “yea and nay” at the same time? 18 God is faithful however, and our word has not been yea and nay. 19 For as - there is this — the Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom we proclaimed among you, Silas, Timothy and I, was not yea and nay/maybe! But in him it is always “yes!” 20 For all (Is.45:23) the promises of God find their “yes” in him. That is why it is through him, we utter our “amen” to God. (Why we agree with God, and so “receive”.) 21 The one establishing us, with you - in Jesus - and anointing us, is God. 22 And he has put his seal upon our heart (sealed it up) and given us his Spirit as a pledge and guarantee [arrabΓ³n - pledge, down payment in advance as security and guarantee]. 23 But as God is my witness, it was to spare you, that I changed my plans and delayed from coming again to Corinth. (The group was having many questions and troubles.) 24 Not that we lord it over you, but we are working together with you, for your joy, and for “the” faith, in which you stand.
