07/25 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

22 -  By faith Joseph, at the end of his life, told them to take his bones with them, for he foresaw they would exodus from Egypt. 23 By faith Moses, when born, was hidden for three months by his parents. They saw the child was blessed, and they were not afraid of the king's edict. 24 By faith Moses, when he was grown, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, 25 choosing instead to be mistreated with his own people, the people of God, rather than enjoy the fleeting pleasures of Egypt. 26 He considered being out of favor because of Christ, greater wealth than all the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward [misthapodosΓa - from misthΓ³s - reward, and apodΓdōmi - return, give back]. 27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the anger of the king, for he endured by seeing he who is invisible. 28 By faith he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood, so the Destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them.

29 By faith the people crossed the Red Sea as on dry land, but the Egyptians, when they attempted it, were drowned. 30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they circled them for seven days. 31 By faith Rahab the prostitute didn’t perish with those who were unbelieving, because she had given a friendly welcome to the spies.

32 And what more shall I say?! It would take too long to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets,  33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, received promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

LUKE 2 1-7

   πŸƒπŸ•Š️12/22 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

1 - In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the (Roman occupied) world should be registered. 2 This was the first registration, which was when Quirinius was governor of Syria. 3 So all of Israel went to be registered, each to their own town. 4 Joseph went up from Galilee, from Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David. 5 He went with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. 6 And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. 7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger (feeding trough) because there was no place for them in the inn.

LUKE 1 26-38

  πŸƒπŸ•Š️12/18 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

26 - Six months later, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to Nazareth, a city of Galilee, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And Gabriel came to her and said, “Greetings, oh favored one! The Lord is with you!”29 But she was troubled at the saying, for she didn’t know what sort of greeting that might be. 30 And the angel said to her, “Don’t be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”
34 Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I have never been with a man?” 35 And Gabriel answered, “The Holy Spirit (/Presence of God) will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and so the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. 36 And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with she who was called barren. 37 For nothing is impossible to God.” 38 And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaiden of the Lord. Let it happen to me as you have said.” The angel then departed.
