            ☀️ A.M. 2 Timothy 4:1-8

1 - So I solemnly charge — before God and Christ, who will judge [krínō – properly, to separate] the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom — proclaim the message! 2 Be ready in season! And out of season! {Good day or bad day!} Correct, admonish, and convince, with complete patience and teaching [didaché - teaching, doctrine, instruction]. {Redirect with kindness and patience. “Lovest thou me? Feed my sheep.”}

     3 For the time is coming when people won’t endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they’ll gather to themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and they’ll turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into fables.

     5 But as for you, be sober-minded, endure the suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your charge. 6 As for me, I’m being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is near. 7 I’ve fought the good fight, I’ve finished the race, I’ve kept the faith. 8 From now on there’s laid up for me the crown of righteousness [dikaiksuné - righteousness, justice]. {The crown of Life? Not metal.} which the Lord, the just and righteous judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all loving his appearing. {I.e. “On that day” is the day of “his appearing”.}

28 - At the last, Jesus, knowing all was then finished, fulfilling the Scripture, said “I thirst.” 29 A jar full of sour wine was there, so they soaked a sponge in it and held it up to him on a hyssop branch. 30 When Jesus tasted the wine, he said, “It’s finished”. And he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit. [Finished - teleó - completed, finished, fulfilled, accomplished; from télos - consummation, end-goal, purpose, such as closure with all its results; root tel - reaching the end(aim), well-illustrated by the old pirate's telescope, unfolding in widening scopes until teaching full scope.] {The nature of prophecy, including the Lord’s two advents, excluding of course the crucifixion, that being “finished”.}

     31 Since it was the day of Preparation (of prepping for the Passover feast coming after sunset) so the bodies wouldn’t remain upon the cross on the Sabbath - for that Sabbath (beginning at sunset, not midnight) - was a high Sabbath.  (Jesus died on Passover, was in the grave at 1st U.B. Day, and rose on Firstfruits, fulfilling the Spring holy days like prophecy. And more “perfectly” than seen at first glance.)

     So the Hebrew leaders asked Pilate if their legs might be broken that they might die quickly and be taken away. 32 So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the two crucified with him. 33 But when they came to Jesus and saw he was already dead, they didn’t break his legs. 34 Yet one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water. 35 He who saw it (John) has borne witness - his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth - so you also may believe. 36 For all these things took place, fulfilling the Scripture, “Not one of his bones will be broken.” 37 And again another Scripture says, “They will look upon he whom they have pierced.” {On GWT Judgment/discernment/full-world-history-review/& closure for all ‘Day’?}

     38 After this, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the leaders, asked Pilate if he might take away the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him permission. So he and Nocodemus came and took away his body. 39 This is the Nicodemus who earlier had come to Jesus by night (Jn.3:1-21). They came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes. 40 They took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews.

     41 Nearby the place where he was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. 42 So because it was a Jewish day of Preparation (leading to a Sabbath/day of no work, beginning right then as the sun was setting) since the tomb was close at hand, they laid him there.

And this in hopes of receiving a winner’s crown that perishes. But we’re aiming for an imperishable crown [of Life] {not metal}. 26 So I don’t run in circles and without direction and goalpost, or like one beating at the air. 27 But I master my {own} self, keeping my {own} self under watch, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified!

18 - Little children, let’s not just love in word and talk, but in actions and in truth. {Genuinely, not just talk a good talk, but sincere affection for our fellow person. To examine our heart and thoughts by this measure/rod. Both the adversary/accuser and our own carnality is like an unseen slithering serpent. Guard our heart, and exercise discernment.}

     19 For it is by this we’ll know we’re of the truth {and in “the Way”} and will reassure our heart before him. 20 For when our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows all. 21 And beloved, if our heart doesn’t condemn us, we have confidence before him. 22 And whatever we ask of him, we receive, because we keep his commands/instructions and do what pleases him.

     {Our New Testament/Covenant/Contract w/ God instructions. And the well being and society preserving “ten commandments”/instructions we keep through God’s HoLy Spirit/Presence with us.. and through Jesus. Our “faith is reckoned as righteousness” and innocence and pardon, all debt paid by “Christ Crucified”. God’s Spirit in and with us will cause us to keep the ten, better than the Pharisees, etc. Foods and days/Sabbaths (especially for non-hebrew believers) are according to ones “own” conscience and mind [Ro.14:5] as Jesus iS the Sabbath, which the day is the “type and shadow” of. Then we “follow” the New Testament instructions to “abide in him” and to “abide in the scripture” - abide in the personified logos, and abide in the written logos/reasoning, as “all scripture is for training” 2Tim.3:16.

     Training for what? Eternity. But also for serving, called reigning, during Jesus’ long second advent? Consisting of “the millennium” - upon Earth, a Sabbath millennium rest from enmity, war, division, evil. And there are mortal survivors of the apocalypse - which was fully done by man - serving also during the release of the adversary&co, and the gathering they do, once again to an ‘armageddon’ “against God’s camp” - the earth again under sway of division.. accusations.. hatred. But then the fiery flash defeat and a second mention of a lake of fire. First is at the armageddon battle that concludes this straying/imperfection/entropy which began in Eden - for no option to stray would be humanity as an ant farm? And the final mention of a lake of fire is after GWT Judgment ‘day’ has concluded - surely a ‘day’ of full closure for all and concerning all history and the traumas of it. This (GWT ‘day’) of course, during the second half of the “8th day”/millennium, the “last great day” - Lev.23:36, Jn.7:37. (And Mt.25:1-13 - the door to). Called reigning, for to do His works is to reign? “Crown of LiFe” ..not like the world with metal crowns. Kingdom vs. empire.}

                  ~ 1 Timothy 1:1-8 ~

1 - From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the call of God our Savior and of Jesus our hope, 2 to Timothy, my true child in the faith!

Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

     3 As I urged when I was leaving for Macedonia, your remaining at Ephesus is so you may charge certain ones not to teach any other doctrine, 4 nor to devote theirselves to myths (and today, strange ideas) and endless genealogies, which are only speculation rather than the faithful management of God’s program that is of faith.5 The aim is love. Love issuing from a pure [katharos - without admixture, root of catharsis, free from contamination] heart, from a good conscience and a sincere/genuine faith. 6 Certain persons, by swerving from this, have wandered away into vain discussion, 7 they desire to be teachers of the law, without understanding either what it is they are saying or the things about which they make such confident assertions. 8 But we know, that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully. (Don’t be piling on our favorite personal convictions as rules for everyone else. No one made us god! WE follow the law by loving. Having true affection for our fellow person, and not only those just like us. Diet and observance of days do not (yet) come into it. We will follow God’s compLete calendar during the Lord’s long second advent.. and beyond.. Doing so now is wonderful also, but thinking we’re all that if we do, is the opposite of love. The message of God - the proclamation - is the “good news for all”. “Whosoever will - let them - take of the water of life Freely” - God’s acceptance and approval is a gift. Then voila! We are “born again” - Jesus is “the seed” God plants in us. It is watered by God’s Spirit/Presence, so we are growing, being transformed so that “we shall be like Jesus”. The call during this life is that those who follow through will serve - called reigning - during the Lord’s second advent, a longer, wider version of his first so brief one (Mt.25:1-13). Marry this idea (truth) with the understanding that the so notorious “lake of fire” is earthly prophecy like any other. Hello? How can this be so hard to see? (Twilight zone amazing.) All three mentions of lake of fire are at huGe fiery events. I’d list them but this is already too long. “The hope of glory” - to serve as helpers during “the” millennium and during the GWT judgment ‘day’ will not require pitchforks! ..And the “crowns” are crowns “of Life” not of metal. We yield our own self to Him. He is writing his program, his “logos” - “reasoning expressed in words” upon and within us. His script. All of His will. We can trust him to carry it out. It’s the same program for all, some now, some later. We have, also, a great instruction manual, but the adversary ceaselessly is throwing every thing at it. And always has been. God is Life, surely? So there really is no other option or way. Might as well get with the program early! With genuine response. “The way/road is narrow” with wide ditches on either side, of rules and regs, or the other ditch, a do nothing, do not respond mentality. Neither ditch works very well but is like slogging through muddy water.) 🙂

But now what excuse (to theirselves?) do they have? (For now it is apparent.) 23 Whoever hates me, hates the Father as well. 24 If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty. But they have seen it, and still they hate my father and I. 25 But, this is to fulfill the scripture, “they hated me without reason” (for no reason, no good reason. Anger for no reason, being hate, and is “committing murder in the heart” Mt.5:21,22). 26 When the helper/aid/advocate comes, which I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth which from the Father goes forth - (God’s Spirit/Presence with us?) - he will speak and bear witness about me. 27 But you also will bear witness, for you have been with me since the beginning.

1 - “I have told you these things so that you will not stumble or be caught off guard and fall away. 2 You'll be thrown out of the meeting places. Yes, a time is coming when the one who kills you will think he's serving God. 3 And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me. 4 I have told you this, so that when their time comes you will remember that I warned you. I did not tell you this before because I was with you, 5 but now I am going to He who sent me. And none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 But because I have said these things, your hearts are filled with sorrow. 7 But, I tell you the truth, it is best for you that I go away. The Holy Spirit/Presence cannot come to you until I leave. But after I am gone, I will send the Spirit to help you. 8 Then when he comes, he will convince the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment. (Why not do it quickly and tie up the loose ends right then? Where then would you and I be? See how wise! All born, all taught and convinced.) 9 About sin [hamartía - from - A "not" and méros - "a part, share of" – properly, no-share, no part of, lossbecause not hitting the target, missing the mark] for they do not believe in me and my message. 10 About righteousness [now attainable, a gift] because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see me. 11 And concerning judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. (🤔If a “ransom” is paid to “redeem” us, then we were kidnapped. But - Romans 11:32 - “For GOD has bound up all in disobedience, that He may show mercy to all.” So how? did He bind up, subject all to disobedience, thus hamartia - missing the mark? By [1] endowing thinking and reasoning ability, first to “angelos” then to “anthropos” (mankind). The tricky part being thinking includes at least some power of choice. And by [2] waiting a long(?) time until the first - bound to occur - rebel or “missing the mark” thought occurred, basically a thought of ‘must we reaLLy do and think everything God’s way?’ But waited until it ripened into seditious scheming before creating the first man and woman. That way, the rest of us, born from the first pair, would inherit their “missing the mark” - the self first, carnal nature. Thus “all” taking this unavoidable journey/lesson all together at once. “All of heaven and Earth” - Eph.1:10 - “This is the plan for the administration of the fullness of time, to bring together all in Christ” - literal wording - “the in the heavens and the upon the earth”. Translators added the word “things” to the verse, three times, which is also true, but the word translated is “pas” and means “all”. Which certainly includes all ‘things’, but originally it reads that all in heaven and upon Earth are gathered into Jesus. “The” is often like the Le and La of other languages. Jesus is the one straight out from God one, and “the seed” God is implanting within all, and is called the “first/proto” - the prototype - fully understanding and convinced of Good from notGood, Life from notLife, what works from what doesn’t and cannot work. Convinced of the “Logos” - “reasoning expressed in words” [God’s reasoning] and also, the reasoning, as the Son, who is called the Logos/Truth. Which Truth shatters all unTruth. Logos is also the root word of Logic.)

     12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot yet hear it or bear to hear it. 13 Yet when the Spirit of Truth comes, he'll guide you into all truth. He won't speak of his own, but will speak from whatever he hears (in us? thus individual guiding?) and will tell you of things to come. 14 He will glorify me by taking from what is mine and disclosing it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine, so I say, what is mine He will announce to you. 16 In a little while you won’t see me anymore. But a little while after that, you will see me again.”

           ~ 1 Peter 5:1-7 ~

1 - And now, a word to you who are elders in the churches. I, too, am an elder, and also a witness to the sufferings of Christ, and will share in his glory when he is revealed to the whole world. As a fellow elder, I appeal to you, 2 be shepherds over the flock God has entrusted to you. Watch over it as God does. Not because you have to, but because you want to. Not for gain or what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. 3 Not as lords (!) but lead by your good example. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory (radiant crown of Life) that will never fade away. 5 Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder ones. And all of you (eldera d younger) clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. 6 Be humble in the presence of God's mighty power! And he will honor you [to a place of honor in His service - Amplified Version] when the time comes. 7 And give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares for you!
