            ☀️ A.M. 2 Timothy 4:1-8

1 - So I solemnly charge — before God and Christ, who will judge [krínō – properly, to separate] the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom — proclaim the message! 2 Be ready in season! And out of season! {Good day or bad day!} Correct, admonish, and convince, with complete patience and teaching [didaché - teaching, doctrine, instruction]. {Redirect with kindness and patience. “Lovest thou me? Feed my sheep.”}

     3 For the time is coming when people won’t endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they’ll gather to themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and they’ll turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into fables.

     5 But as for you, be sober-minded, endure the suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your charge. 6 As for me, I’m being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is near. 7 I’ve fought the good fight, I’ve finished the race, I’ve kept the faith. 8 From now on there’s laid up for me the crown of righteousness [dikaiksuné - righteousness, justice]. {The crown of Life? Not metal.} which the Lord, the just and righteous judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all loving his appearing. {I.e. “On that day” is the day of “his appearing”.}

28 - At the last, Jesus, knowing all was then finished, fulfilling the Scripture, said “I thirst.” 29 A jar full of sour wine was there, so they soaked a sponge in it and held it up to him on a hyssop branch. 30 When Jesus tasted the wine, he said, “It’s finished”. And he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit. [Finished - teleó - completed, finished, fulfilled, accomplished; from télos - consummation, end-goal, purpose, such as closure with all its results; root tel - reaching the end(aim), well-illustrated by the old pirate's telescope, unfolding in widening scopes until teaching full scope.] {The nature of prophecy, including the Lord’s two advents, excluding of course the crucifixion, that being “finished”.}

     31 Since it was the day of Preparation (of prepping for the Passover feast coming after sunset) so the bodies wouldn’t remain upon the cross on the Sabbath - for that Sabbath (beginning at sunset, not midnight) - was a high Sabbath.  (Jesus died on Passover, was in the grave at 1st U.B. Day, and rose on Firstfruits, fulfilling the Spring holy days like prophecy. And more “perfectly” than seen at first glance.)

     So the Hebrew leaders asked Pilate if their legs might be broken that they might die quickly and be taken away. 32 So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the two crucified with him. 33 But when they came to Jesus and saw he was already dead, they didn’t break his legs. 34 Yet one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water. 35 He who saw it (John) has borne witness - his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth - so you also may believe. 36 For all these things took place, fulfilling the Scripture, “Not one of his bones will be broken.” 37 And again another Scripture says, “They will look upon he whom they have pierced.” {On GWT Judgment/discernment/full-world-history-review/& closure for all ‘Day’?}

     38 After this, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the leaders, asked Pilate if he might take away the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him permission. So he and Nocodemus came and took away his body. 39 This is the Nicodemus who earlier had come to Jesus by night (Jn.3:1-21). They came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes. 40 They took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews.

     41 Nearby the place where he was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. 42 So because it was a Jewish day of Preparation (leading to a Sabbath/day of no work, beginning right then as the sun was setting) since the tomb was close at hand, they laid him there.

            ☀️ John 7:37-8:1

37 - On the last day of the feast, the “last great day” (Lev.23:36) Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink! 38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of their heart will flow rivers of living water’!”

     39 Now he said this about the Spirit{/Presence of God} which those who believing in him would receive, for the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

     40 When they heard him say this, some of the people said, “This really is the Prophet!” 41 And, “This is the Christ!” But others said, “Is the Christ to come from Galilee? 42 Hasn’t the Scripture said the Messiah comes from the descendents of David, and from Bethlehem, the village of David?”

     43 So there was a division among the people concerning him. 44 Some of them {leaders} wanted to arrest him. But no one laid hands on him.

    45 The officers who had been sent, went back to the chief priests and Pharisees, who asked them, “Why didn’t you bring him in?”46 The officers answered, “No one ever spoke like this man.”

     47 The Pharisees answered, “Have you been deceived as well? 48 Have any of the authorities or the Pharisees believed in him? 49 But this crowd that doesn’t know the law (of Moses) is accursed!” {Beneath us?! Is the ignorant rabble!? Every nation, group, nationality, has its leaders. And they can all be known by their fruit. As is true of all of us, but POWER often corrupts.. misleads.. becomes a spiritual snare. A snare of the heart.}

     50 Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus before (by night) but who was one of them, said, 51 “Does our law judge a man without first giving him a hearing and learning about his works?” 52 They answered him, “Are you from Galilee too?! Search and see! No prophet comes from Galilee.” {Vehement dismissal.}

     [The earliest manuscripts we have don’t include 7:53 to 8:11.] 53 They all went home to their own houses, 8:1 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

1 - I hope you will bear with me (Paul) in a little foolishness! 2 For I feel a divine jealousy for you! For I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. {🗝️to Rev.14:4; 7:9,4; and also key to God being a “jealous God”, which is a - good - thing!} 3 But I’m fearful that as the serpent {seraphim?} [ophis - snake; symbolizing deceit, danger, and evil; serpent] deceived Eve by his cunning, that your thinking will be led astray from the sincere and pure devotion to Christ!

     4 For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaim, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you first received, or if you accept a different gospel {different message} from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough! 5 Let me say {foolishly} that I consider I am not in the least inferior to these ‘superior apostles’ {claiming levels and assigning theirselves as on a higher level than the others is no sign of maturity or superiority}. 6 Even if I were unskilled in my words, I am not so in knowledge. Indeed, we have made this plain to you in many ways and in all things.

     7 Or do I commit a sin in humbling myself so you might be lifted up in your spirit? Or because I preached and taught God's message to you free of charge? 8 I accepted from other churches in order to serve you. 9 And when I was with you and was in need, I didn’t burden anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed. So I didn’t burden you and will continue to not burden you in any way.

            🌙 John 3:1-12

1 - Now there was a man of the Pharisee party whose name was Nicodemus, a leader and ruler of the Jews. 2 He came out to see Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you’re a teacher come from God. For no one can do these signs, that you’ve been doing, unless God is with him.”

     3 Jesus answered, “Truly, I tell you, unless someone is born again they can’t see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said, “How can a person be born when they’re old? Can they enter a second time into their mother's womb to be born again?”

     5 Jesus said, “Unless one is born of water {natural birth from the womb} aNd, of the Spirit {of God, his Presence} they can’t enter into the kingdom of God. 6 Because what is produced by flesh/matter is flesh/matter {that which is mortal is mortal} and that which is produced of the Spirit is spirit.

     7 Don’t wonder that I said, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where the wind blows, and you hear the sound of it, but you don’t know exactly where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone having been born of the Spirit.”

     9 Nicodemus said, “How can this be?” 10 Jesus answered, “Are you a teacher of Israel, and yet you don’t understand? 11 Truly, I tell you, what’s known is what someone will speak. And what someone sees,  is what they’ll bear witness to. But my witness/testimony isn’t received.

     12 If I’ve told you the earthly and you don’t believe me, how will you believe if I tell you the heavenly?”

JOHN 3 13-24

(Jesus is talking with Nicodemus.) 13 - “No one has gone up” or, literal word for word(?) “None [go up, ascend, rise] into heaven, except, he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man. [The word is anabainó.] {Rev.12:5} 14 For, as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up. 15 So that whoever believes in him may have enduring [aion-ian] life. [Jn.12:32 - “..if, or, the greek word ean means - if, whenever, when - I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all [pas - all, every, the whole, the entire] to myself.” {Pas? Translators, who couldn’t quiTe believe(?) changed “all” into “all things” as often as it would work, in Rev.21:5! Eph.1:10, Jn.13:3! And more. Five times in 1Cor.15:27-28 ..and what, otherwise, is repeated - five times?!}

     16 “The truth is, God so loved the world, he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not - perish - but have enduring [aion-ion/ian] life.” {Is immortal soul just a myth to hold up the biG, so ancient, spiritual propaganda - control the masses - myth??}

     17 “For {the Truth is} God did not send his Son into the world to condemn [krinó - to decide, determine, judge] the world. But, in order that the world be saved through him. 18 Everyone believing in him is not judged. But whoever is not believing is judged already by not believing in the name of the only Son of God. {By being not yet on God’s upward path? Through Christ which remedies the law of entropy/imperfection, a “FiRe” that “can’t be put out”?} [See this verse on biblehub dot com’s interlinear.] 19 This moreover is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and man [anthropoi] loves the darkness instead of the light, whose works {motives?} are less than good [ponéros - (evil) wicked, bad, malicious]. 20 Because anyone who does malicious or wicked things, hates the light and doesn’t come to the light, lest their works be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, and it’s clearly seen that their works have been carried out in God.” {In the Light and Love. And thus has Nicodemus at least sought him out. And of course he is mentioned again, quite a bit later.}

     22 After this Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and they stayed there for awhile and Jesus was baptizing. 23 John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there and people were coming to him and being baptized. 24 For John had not yet been put in prison. {John the baptizer personified the entry level, it’s why he told the Pharisees to show FRUIT.. Which they did not have, showing they had always refused the entry level. They were not genuine. The issue was politics, not religion/spirituality. To know the difference - Satan is a changing angel of (false) light, and plays all angles and ‘sides’ - our face must be toward God..?}

31 Since it was the day of Preparation, and so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath, for that Sabbath was a high day [First Day of Unleavened Bread] the Hebrew/Jewish leaders asked Pilate if their legs might be broken so they might be taken away. 32 So the soldiers came and broke the legs of those who had been crucified with him. 33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they didn’t break his legs [Ps.34:20 fulfilled]. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water. [Crucified on Passover, in the grave as First Day oF Unleavened Bread was beginning. He will rise exactly three evenings later, on the third holy day of Passover/Unleavened Bread Week, which always followed the regular weekly Sabbath of the week. Fulfilling the Spring Holy Days perfectly. God’s Spirit/Presence sent seven weeks later upon Pentecost. To my nerdy mind, looks like an outline. A good chapter to read, Hebrews 10.]

1 -  I (Paul) earnestly declare before God and Jesus who will [méllō - in general what is sure to happen] (will) judge living and dead(/life and death), and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2 proclaim the word, be ready in season and out of season; convince [elégxō – properly, to convince with solid, compelling evidence] warn and encourage [usually translated more like convict, rebuke, exhort, greek parakaleó!] teaching with complete patience. 3 But the time is coming when sound teaching will not be endured, but instead having itching ears they will gather to theirselves teachers (and teachings) to suit their own passions [epithymía - from epí - focused on, and thymós - passionate desires — focused on passions?] 4 And they will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. 5 As for you, Timothy, always be sober-minded! Endure suffering (because of it). Do the work of an evangelist [euaggelistés - an evangelist, a bringer of good news] and fulfill your ministry/service.

     6 As for me, I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is close. 7 I’ve fought the good fight, I’ve finished the race, I’ve kept the faith. 8 Now there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, who judges righteously/rightly, will award me - on that day - and not only to me - but to all loving his appearing [epiphaneia - appearing, manifestation, glorious display — From commentary - “epipháneia - conspicuous appearing, emphasizes the fitting impact Christ's visible appearance will have on the entire world – i.e. all who see it, saved and unsaved. In the NT, 2015 epipháneia occurs six times – always used of Christ's coming, once of His first coming.]
