18 - “And to the angel [angelo, aggelos - messenger] of the church in Thyatira write: ‘The words of the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like burnished bronze.’” {His eyes see, and he has walked through the fire.} 19 “‘I know your works, your love, and faith, and service, and patient endurance, and that your later works are more than the first. 20 But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel. She calls herself a prophetess, but she is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food {doctrine} sacrificed to idols. 21 I have given ‘her’ time to repent [metanoeó - change mind, turn] but she refuses. 22 Behold {listen} I will [balló - throw, cast, put, place] her onto a sickbed {his ‘wrath’, is cause and effect} and those who commit adultery with her, into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works, 23 and her children will be slain with death. And all the churches will know that I am he who searches minds and hearts, and it will be given to each according to their works. 24 But to the rest of you in Thyatira, who don’t hold to this teaching, and have not known the depths of Satan, I don’t lay upon you any other burden. 25 Only hold fast what you have until I come. 26 The one who conquers and who keeps my works to the end, I will give authority [exousia - authority, power, right, jurisdiction] over the nations, 27 and they will shepherd them {who?} with a rod of iron {an unbreakable measure/measuring rod/truth} as when earthen pots are broken into pieces {before faith, we are a basket of pieces, a basket case, we are broken, in pottery, you break the clay and reshape it} - even as - I myself have received from my Father. {As I myself shepherded?} 28 And I will give to them the morning star. {“The stars are messengers”, “crowns of Life”, not metal.} 29 Whoever has an ear, let them hear. What the Spirit says. (To the churches [ekklésia - assembly, congregation, church, “the” Church, the whole body of Christian believers, {TO each believer}].’
