03/02 ~ From New Testament Letters
🕊️ (In the Order Believed Written)
Paul’s Letter To The Romans
8 - For I tell you that Christ became a servant to the circumcised [to the Hebrew nation ..first] in order to show God's truthfulness [alétheia - truth, integrity, faithfulness] and to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs, 9 and in order that the Gentiles/nations might glorify God for his mercy. As it’s written, “Therefore I will praise [aineó - boast, shine, praise] you among the nations, and will sing to your name.” 10 And again it’s said, “Rejoice [euphrainó - rejoice, be glad, make merry] oh nations, with his people!” 11 And again, “Praise the Lord, all nations! And let all the peoples praise [epaineó - praise, applaud] him!” 12 And again Isaiah says, “The root of Jesse will come, even he who arises to rule the nations, in him will the nations trust.”
13 May the God of hope [elpis - hope, expectation, trust] fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope [elpis - hope, expectation, and trust].
