🍃🕊️ 03/02 - GospeL Verses 🕊️🍃
21 - From then on Jesus began to let his disciples know he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the leaders - the elders, chief priests and scribes. And would be killed, but on the third day be raised. 22 Peter took him aside and began to disagree with him, saying, “Far be it from you, Lord! This shall not happen to you!” 23 But Jesus said, “Get behind me, Satan, you’re being a hindrance to me. For you’re not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.”
24 Then Jesus told them, “If anyone would come after me, let them deny theirself and take up their cross and come, follow me. 25 For whoever would save their life {as is before Christ} will lose it {the life we think we have} but whoever loses {lets go of} their life for my sake will find it. {God has our highest blueprint!} 26 For what will it profit someone to gain the whole {wide} world and forfeit their soul? {Inner being, greek psyche.} Or what shall a person give in return for their soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come - with his angels - in the glory {and radiance} of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what they have done. 28 Truly, I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.” {Prophecy in two scopes, more specific and later global. In this case 70 CE, the razing of Jerusalem, and Armageddon. After 70 CE came what’s called the church age.. age of the wheat. And after Armageddon, comes what’s called “the” millennium, first half of the Lord’s long second advent.}
