🍃🕊️ 03/15 - GospeL Verses 🕊️🍃
(paraphrased)
[Some early manuscripts do not have 7:53 to 8:11.] 2 - Early in the morning Jesus was again at the temple and the people came and sat down and he taught them. 3 But then the leaders, the scribes and Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and bringing her to Jesus, 4 they said, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. 5 Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such a one. So what do you say?” 6 This they said to test him, so they might have some charge to bring against him. But Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger upon the ground. 7 And as they continued to ask him, “Well?” he straightened up and said, “Let whoever is without sin be the first one to throw a stone at her.” 8 And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground. 9 And then they went away one by one, beginning with the older to the younger, and Jesus was left alone with the woman. 10 He straightened up and said to her, “Woman, where are those accusing you? Is there none to condemn you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go, and sin no more.”
