Paul’s Letter To The Ephesians
(paraphrased)
1 - And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world. Following the prince of the power of the air {what the world says and puts forth, the sWord separates, aka discernment, true judgment as opposed to} the spirit that is now at work in the children of disobedience—3 among whom we aLL once lived in the passions of the selfish, and self serving (imperfect/entropic) character, carrying out desires {gotta have’s} of body, mind, and emotions, and were by nature children of wrath {cause and effect, of which entropy from imperfection is top ironclad natural law, because God iS life, and “is perfect” Mt.5:48. So imperfect is this slow gehenna crucible fade which does not quit/reverse course, until God “saves us”} like the rest of mankind. [“He has subjected all to disobedience {thus entropy} so he may have mercy upon all” Romans 11:32.]
4 God - being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loves - 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses [paraptóma - trespass, offense, fault] made us alive together with Christ! By grace we’ve been saved!
6 He raised us up together, and seated us together, in the heavenly/spiritual in Christ Jesus (literal translation) 7 so that in the coming ages, he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace - in kindness toward us - in Christ Jesus {our Lord}. 8 For by grace we have been saved, through faith [pisteos - faith, belief, trust, confidence, fidelity, reliably persuaded]. And this is not our own doing! 9 It is not a result of works and effort, but is the gift of God, so no person can boast.
