01-15 - Ro-1 Lk-4

๐Ÿ—️s New Testament & Bible prophecy study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • Romans 1:16-23  Matthew 4:24-5:12

            ☀️ Romans 1:16-23

16 - I (Paul) am not ashamed of the gospel, for it’s the power of God. The power of God to salvation {deliverance, rescue - as entropy/imperfection is a slow gehenna that “doesn’t quit”} to everyone believing, to the Jew/Hebrew first, and also to the Greek/all others. [Jn.12:32.] 17 For in it, the righteousness [dikaiosunรฉ - from dikaios - righteous, just, upright; righteousness, justice] {total fairness} of God is made known from faith to faith, as it was written, the righteous shall live by faith. {Not worry producing effort.. but a recognizing of his perfection and genius and wanting to be in submission to and in union with him. Yes, submission. Trust. 18 For the wrath of God {code for cause and effect, results, consequences} is revealed from heaven against ungodliness {cruelty! hatefulness} and unrighteousness of men (mankind) who by their unrighteousness {๐Ÿค”wrongness} suppress the truth. [Suppress - “(1) to put an end to forcibly (2) to curtail or prohibit the activities of {laws against} (3) to keep from being revealed, published, or circulated” - American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition.]

     19 For what can be known about God is plain. For he has shown it 20 by his invisible attributes. Namely his eternal power and divine nature are clearly portrayed! {Creation - a spoken big bang into the universe as is, then put in motion.. vast, “so perfectly balanced it hangs on nothing” Job 26:7.} And has been seen since the creation of the world, made evident by all that has been made. So we are without excuse. 21 For although we know God is, we don’t {in the natural} honor him as God, nor give thanks to him. But we are futile in our thinking, and our foolish hearts are darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, we {have} become fools. 23 And we exchange the glory of the immortal God, for the likeness of an image of mortal/carnal man, or of birds, animals, and creeping things. {Especially back in the day, today also different idols revered, including man as highest power/“seated in the temple as god”/highest power; and a ‘like humans’ belief and portrayal of God, including as not aLL powerful/able. This unavoidable contrast, life as we presently know it, is not something gone wrong, and took God by surprise.}

            ๐ŸŒ™ Matthew 4:24-5:12

24 - Jesus’ fame had spread throughout all of Syria, so they brought to him all the sick and afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, those having seizures, and paralytics, and he healed them all. 25 Great crowds were following him from Galilee and the Decapolis, and from Jerusalem and Judea, and from beyond the Jordan. 5 And seeing the crowds, he sat down at the side of the hill, and his disciples and followers came to listen.

     2 And he taught them, saying: 3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit {humble} for the kingdom of heaven is theirs. 4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are those hungering and thirsting for righteousness {rightness!} for they will be satisfied. 7 Blessed are the merciful, they will receive mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers {noT adversarial or divisive, though spiritually separated/different, i.e. love, genuine love and affection for our fellow person, even other believers, lol, doesn’t mean we have to agree with, approve and reflect the views and values of “the world”} for they {peace-makers} will be called sons and daughters of God.” {“The Way” results in “we shall be like him”.} [Huios - sons - quote biblehub dot com - “the New Testament expands this (greek) word to include all believers as sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ, emphasizing spiritual - inheritance - and identity; and equally refers to female believers (Gal 3:28).]

     10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs. 11 Blessed are you when others insult you, treat you badly, persecute you, and say {accuse} all kinds of evil about you, falsely, on my account. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great, for so were the prophets treated, who were before you.”
