☀️ Romans 5:1-5
1 - So! Since we have been justified by faith, we {can know that we} have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Through him we also have obtained access, by faith, into this grace in which we stand! And we rejoice in hope [elpis - expectation] of the glory of God! 3 Not only that, but we have joy in our sufferings. For we know that suffering produces endurance, 4 endurance produces character, character produces expectation, 5 and expectation is no disgrace! And all this is because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit{/Presence of God} which is given to us.
π Matthew 9:18-26
18 - While Jesus was saying these things, a ruler {leader} came in and knelt before him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she’ll live.” 19 So Jesus followed him, along with his disciples.
20 On the way, a woman who had suffered from a bleeding issue for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, 21 for she thought to herself, “If I can but touch his garment, I’ll be made well.” 22 And Jesus turned, and said to her, “Take heart, daughter. Your faith has made you well.” And instantly she was cured. {Matthew’s account has the short version.}
23 When they arrived to the ruler's house, they saw the flute players and the crowd making a sad commotion, 24 but he told them to go out, and said, “She’s not dead but sleeping.” And they laughed at him. 25 But when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl rose up. 26 And the report of it went through all the district.
