 • 2 Corinthians 12:13-21  Matthew 4:18-23

            ☀️ 2 Corinthians 12:13-21

13 - Were you in less favor than the rest of the churches? Because I (Paul) didn’t burden you? Forgive me this wrong! 14 And now for a third time I’m ready to come to you. And I won’t be a burden! For I’m not looking for what you have, but for you yourselves. Children aren’t expected to feed the parents, parents feed the children. 15 So I’ll gladly even spend my soul {for the Lord’s sheep}. If I love abundantly, am I to be loved less? 16 But granting that I myself didn’t burden you, I was crafty! I caught you. {A fisher of men.} 17 And no one sent by me has exploited you.

18 It was I who urged Titus to go to you, and who sent the brother with him. And in all genuineness, for we’re of the same spirit, and we act and walk in that same spirit. 19 Have you been thinking we’ve been defending ourselves to you? It’s in the sight of God, and in Christ, that we’ve been speaking. And all for your upbuilding, beloved. 20 For I fear that perhaps when I come I may find you not as I wish, and that you may find me not as you wish.

Will there be quarreling? Jealousy? Anger, hostility, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder? 21 I’m afraid when I come again my God may humble me before you, and I may have to mourn over many of those who sinned earlier and haven’t repented of [changed their mind and turned from] the impurity [akatharsia - from a - not, and katharsis - genuine, to have no mixture nor contamination {rev.14:4; 7:9,4} root of catharsis; so, not genuine, but a mixture, impurity, contamination] they were practicing.

            πŸŒ™ Matthew 4:18-23

18 - While walking by the Sea of Galilee, Jesus saw the two brothers, Simon (who’s called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. 19 And he said to them, “Come and follow me {come with me} and I’ll make you fishers of men!” 20 And immediately they dropped their nets and left.

21 They went on from there, and he saw the other two brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. And he called out to them.  22 And they left the boat and their father, and went with him.

23 And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in the synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all sicknesses and afflictions among the people.
