01-22 - Ro-3 Mt-7

🗝️s New Testament & Bible prophecy study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • Romans 3:19-23  Matthew 7:21-29 and Rev. 15:1-8 separately

            ☀️ Romans 3:19-23

19 - We know what the law says, by the law speaks {displays} so every tongue be stopped, and the whole world be held accountable to God. 20 But by following the law no one is justified in his sight, but through the law comes the understanding of sin [hamartia - missing the mark]. {Knowing “the Law” shows us we fall short.}

     21 But now - the righteousness of God has been revealed - as apart from the law. The Law and the Prophets point to 22 the righteousness of God - which is through faith in Jesus Christ. Through faith in Jesus for all who believe. For there is no distinction {favoritism with God}. 23 For all have sinned/transgressed and fall short of the glory of God. {We are pardoned by believing (Him, and thus) the pardon as HE has set forth and instructed.}

            🌙 Matthew 7:21-29

21 - “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one doing the will of my Father, who’s in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘But Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name? Didn’t we cast out demons in your name? And do many mighty works [dunamis - power, strength, ability, might, miracle, energy, works] in your name?’ 23 Then [tote - then, at that time] I will say to them, ‘I’ve never known you, depart(ed?) [apochóreó - from apó - away from chóreó - make room, hold, contain, go, advance] {depart choreography? to - apokalýptō? -from apó - away from and kalýptō - to cover — so uncover, an unveiling; depart/departed to apocalypse, the other — Mt.13:30 as Rev.16:14-15-16 and/or Mt.25:1-13; Rev.16:14-15-16 if departed into the lawlessness] from me, all those working lawlessness.’

     24 Everyone then who hears these words of mine, and does them, will be like a wise person who built their house on the rock. 25 And when the rain fell, the floods came, the winds blew, beating upon the house, it didn’t fall, because it had been built on the rock.

     26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and doesn’t do them, will be like a foolish person who builds their house on sand. 27 And the rain falls, the floods come, the winds blow beating against the house, and it falls. And great is the fall of it.”

     28 When Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 for he taught them as one with certainty [exousia - authority, power, right, jurisdiction, dominion] and not like the scribes.
