39 - Jesus also told them a parable (allegory): “Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a ditch? 40 A disciple isn’t above their teacher, but everyone when fully trained will be like the teacher.

     41 Why do you see the speck that’s in another’s eye, but don’t notice the log in your own eye? 42 How can you say, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself don’t  see the log in your own eye? Hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, then you may see clearly to take the speck out of another’s eye.

     43 A good tree will not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit, 44 for each tree is known by its own fruit. Figs aren’t gathered from thorn bushes. Nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush. 45 The good person out of the good treasure of their heart produces good, and the evil [poneros - bad, grievous] {notGood} person out of his evil [poneros] treasure produces evil [poneros] for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

     46 Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? 47 Everyone who comes to me, hears my words, and does them, I will show you what they are like. 48 They are like someone building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood rose, the stream broke against that house and couldn’t shake it, because it had been solidly built. 49 But the one who hears but doesn’t do, is like someone who built a house on the ground without a foundation. And when the river broke against it, immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house is great.” {Individual and collective.. poorly built stirred to dislike and envy?}
