     07/27 - GospeL Verses

1 - Jesus was traveling from town to town and village to village proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, 2 and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities, including Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out. 3 Also there was Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household, Susanna, and many others, who helped to support them out of their own household.

4 When a large crowd had gathered - for people were coming out to Jesus, from the towns and villages - he told them a parable - 5 “A farmer went out to sow his seed. And as he was scattering the seed, some of it fell along the path where it was trampled on and the birds came and ate it up. 6 Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the plants withered away because they had no roots. 7 Other seed fell among thorn bushes and grew up among them and the plants were choked off. 8 But still other seed fell upon good soil, which came up and yielded a crop. A hundred times more than was planted.” And when he had said this, he called out, “Whoever has ears to hear! Let them hear!”
