🗝️’s to riddles, N.T. in a yr study, verses paraphrased Logic [ ] references { } thots
☀️ 1 - For we know that if the tent [skénos - tent, tabernacle, dwelling, from skéné - tent, hut] {made of hides} our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building/edifice [oikodomé - building, ediface, structure] from God, a better tent not built with human hands. {Real. And “not artificial” - note from biblehub.} One that is enduring. 2 And in this we groan, longing to be clothed from heaven, 3 if indeed by putting it on we may not be found unclothed. 4 For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed! So that what is mortal may be annulled by Life! 5 And he who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. [Galatians 4:6 - “God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, ‘Abba, Father.’” Romans 8:15 - “you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” Ephesians 1:13,14 - “..having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, which is the guarantee [arrabón - pledge, down payment, guarantee] of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it..” [Hebrews 10:36 - “be patient, in order to do the will of God and receive what he promises.” 2 Corinthians 1:20 - “For all the promises of God find their yes in him. That’s why it’s through him that we utter our Amen to God..”]
6 Always of good courage, we know while at home in the body, we’re away from {the full union with} the Lord, 7 for now we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the {mortal/entropic} body and at home with the Lord. 9 So whether at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.
Tomorrows verses - 2 Corinthians 5:10-21
