☀️ Romans 12:1-9
1 - I (Paul) appeal to you therefore, by the mercies of God, to present yourself as a living sacrifice, sacred and well pleasing to God, which is our reasonable [logikos - rational, thoughtful, reasonable, logical, root word logos] service [latreia - worship service, ministration of God, latreúō - render sacred service].
2 Don’t conform to this world. But be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that by testing, you may discern what’s the will of God, what is good, acceptable and perfect.
3 By the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of yourselves more highly than you should, but let your thinking be with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has given. 4 For we are one body, with many members, and each part of the body has a different function. {We’re not all perfect clones of one another, and are given different talents and ways of serving.} 5 So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
6 So having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them. If prophecy, in proportion to the faith. [In proportion to - (greek) analogia - from aná, up, completing a process, and lógos - reasoning, word – properly, analogous {& logical?} reasoning.] 7 If service, in our serving. The one who teaches, in their teaching. 8 The one who encourages [parakaleó - to call to one's side, exhort, encourage, comfort, urge] in their encouraging and urging. The one who contributes, in generosity. The one who leads, with zeal, and the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. 9 Let love be genuine! Abhor what’s evil [poneros - bad, evil -> malicious] and hold tightly to what is good [agathós – “benefit, inherently (intrinsically) good; originates from God and is empowered by Him” - biblehub dot com].
🌙 John 6:30-40
(29 - Jesus said, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”) 30 - So they asked him, “What sign will you do, that we may believe you? What proof will you do? 31 For our fathers ate manna in the wilderness, like it says, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat!’”
32 Jesus answered, “Truly, I tell you, it wasn’t Moses who gave the bread from heaven. And my Father gives to you the true manna from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
34 They said to him, “Sir! Give us this bread always.” 35 Jesus said, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me does not hunger, and whoever believes in me does not thirst. 36 I’ve said to you that you have seen me and yet you don’t believe. 37 But - all - the Father gives me will come to me.” [Jn.13:3 - “The Father has given [didómi - gave, granted, bestowed] all into the Son’s hand.” Pas - all, every, the whole, often translated “all things”. Translators just couldn’t quite believe “all”?]
“And whoever comes to me I will not cast out. 38 For I’ve come down from heaven, not to do my will, but the will of he who sent me. 39 And this - is the will of he who sent me — that all - he has given me — I will not lose. But will raise up, on the last day.”
{There’s two “last days”! #1 The one simultaneous with his return/arrival for long second advent — Is.24:20, Rev.10:4, 2Thes.1:7, Mt.13:30 as Rev.16:14-15-16 & Mt.25:1-13. — and #2 the “8th ‘day’” the “last great day” — Lev.23:36, Jn.7:37, with initiaL conditions of some during that ‘day’, of the inner, outside of the Light darkness, etc — this is, of course, “after” the millennial Sabbath rest ..Rest from the adversary&co, Rev.20 however, is told like describing the crests of waves, and not much of the in between.}
40 “For this is the will of my Father - that everyone who looks upon the Son and believes in him, possesses [echó - to have, hold, possess; translated as “should have”] enduring life, and I will raise them up on the last day.”
{A “first resurrection” strongly suggests and reveals a “second resurrection. The First one includes the “putting on of perfection, and” (thus) “immortality” 1Cor.15:51-55. But the second is separated from that by GWT judgment/discernment/review/closure for all ‘Day’ after which is the fiery “palin(again) genesis” when God says “Behold! I make all new!” [Pas - every, all, the whole.] Rev.21:1-5, 2Pet.3:12-13, Rev.20, and thus 1Cor.15:53-55, supported by 24-28.}
