☀️ Romans 7:1-4
1 - Or do you not know - for I (Paul) am speaking to those who know the law - that the law is binding on a person only as long as they live? 2 For example, a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies she’s released from the law of marriage to him. 3 Whereas, if she lives with another man while her husband is alive, she will be called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she’s free from that law and if she marries another man she’s not committing adultery.
4 In the same way, you too (who have been wed to the Law) have died to “the Law” through the body{/death} of Christ {we “died with him” and are “born again/anew”} so that you now belong not to the law {not to the O.T. outward conforming, society preserving, laws of Moses as a way to earn the enduring Life} but now you are married to another {another testament, treaty, agreement, contract} which is he who has been raised from the dead - in order - that we may bear fruit for God. {Healthy fruit, victorious/overcoming fruit, through our inward conforming union with God through, and with, the fully yielded, fully victorious Son.}
๐ Matthew 11:20-30
20 - Jesus began to scold the cities where most of his mighty works had been done, because they didn’t repent. [Metanoรฉล - from metรก - changed after being with, and noiรฉล, - think – i.e. think differently after; quote - a turning point in one's life, a call to abandon former ways and embrace a new life in Christ.. particularly significant in the context of the early church, where converts often came from pagan backgrounds and needed to renounce their previous practices.]
21 “Woe to you, Chorazin, woe to you, Bethsaida, for if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes! 22 And I tell you, it will be more tolerable on the ‘day’ of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will be brought down to hades (state of unseen, gone). For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. 24 But I tell you that it will be - more - bearable - on the day of judgment {during “8th” millennium, Rev.20} for the land of Sodom than for you.”
25 Then Jesus prayed, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have HIDDEN these things from the {so called} wise and understanding and revealed them to little children {and ‘foolish’ of the world}. 26 Yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. 27 All [ - the word “things” is inserted, but instead should read “all” - pas - every, the whole, entire, all] have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son if not the Father, and no one knows the Father if not the Son, and whoever the Son chooses to reveal him to. 28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. And learn from me. For I’m gentle and lowly in heart, and you’ll find rest for your souls. 30 For - my - yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
