☀️ Romans 10:1-10
1 - My heart's desire and my prayer to God for my countrymen is for their salvation. 2 For I (Paul) bear witness about them, that they have a genuine zeal for God! But not according to accurate knowledge. 3 For not understanding the righteousness of God, they are seeking to achieve their own righteousness, and are missing the mark by not submitting to God, and his righteousness. 4 The end and reason [telos - the end-aim] of the Law is Christ, the true righteousness to everyone who believes. {Receives.}
5 Moses wrote about the righteousness that’s anchored upon the law {external and society preservative} that the person who does the commandments shall live by them.
6 But the righteousness based upon faith {internal} says, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” that is, to bring Christ down {to ones self? I will do it!} 7 “or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” that is, to bring Christ up from the dead! 8 But what does it say? “The word/message is near you. It’s in your heart and on your tongue” that is, the word of faith that we proclaim. 9 For if you say “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart {know} that God raised him from the dead, you are saved! {Name written in the “Lamb’s Book of Life”.}
10 For with the heart we believe and are freely justified and saved, and we find ourselves speaking it. [“Sozo” - saved, safe, rescued, delivered]. {Sealed by God’s Spirit/Presence.. the true baptism is “of the Spirit whereby we cry abba Father! The seal (notary) and guarantee that we are his” Romans 8:15-16. “He has set his seal of ownership upon us, which is his Spirit in our heart, the deposit, down payment, pledge, and guarantee of all that is to come” 2 Corinthians 1:22.}
π Matthew 13:44-58
44 - (Jesus continues.) “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure! Treasure that’s hidden in a field. And when someone finds it, they’ll cover it over again, and in joy go and sell all they have and will then go and buy that field.”
45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, 46 and when he finds one of great value, he’ll sell all he has so he can buy that one pearl.
47 And again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that’s thrown into the sea and gathers fish of every kind. 48 And when it’s full, men draw the net to shore and sort the fish, keeping the good and throwing back the bad. 49 So it will be at the end of the age” {harvest, fruits ripened}. The angels will come and separate the evil [poneros - bad, evil, malicious] from among [mesos - midst, middle, among] the righteous [dikaios - righteous, just, upright, fair] 50 and will throw them into the fiery furnace.” {The fiery judgment that is simultaneous with Jesus’ return surely(?) is the armageddon battle. Also is where there is a first mention of a lake of fire. (All three mentions are at large, fiery events.) This fiery furnace at history’s culmination cannot be an afterlife fiery forever pit ruled by Satan&co.. For those not saved during this life rise a thousand years later into GWT judgment ‘day’. For duration, see Rev.20 and the Fall holy days of Lev.23. Jesus “will draw all” Jn.12:32, because “God is savior of all” 1Tim.4:10. But at history’s conclusion and world’s judgment, armageddon, Rev.10:4..}
“There will be the weeping and gnashing of teeth.” {Results, consequences, judgment.}
51 “Have you understood all these things?” They answered, “Yes.”
52 “Everyone who’s been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like the head of a household, who brings out of their supplies, treasure, both old and new.” [The bread and wine.. the personified logos (Jesus) and the written logos - logos means “reasoning, message, word” and is the root word of Logic. (2Tim.3:16)]
53 And when Jesus had finished these parables, he left there, 54 and coming to his hometown, he was teaching in the synagogue. The people were surprised and were saying, “Where did he get this wisdom and these mighty works? 55 Isn’t this the carpenter's son? Isn’t his mother named Mary? And aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? 56 And don’t all his sisters live here? Where then did he get all this?”
57 And they were offended at him. But Jesus said, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own household.” 58 And he was not able to do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief. (We have letters which were written later by his brothers, James and Jude.)
