Hebrews 8:11-9:5 Luke 4:16-30
☀️ A.M. Hebrews 8:11-9:5
{When all is done and completed under the covenant works of God} 11 - “They shall not teach each one their neighbor and each one their brother or sister, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least to the greatest. 12 For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins [hamartia - missing the mark {imperfection which is entropy}] no more.”
13 In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete, old and fading, is ready to vanish away.
9:1 - Now even the first covenant (of law and its tent was a “shadow” and replica of the spiritual, it) had regulations for worship and an earthly place of holiness. 2 For a tent was prepared, the first section, called the Holy Place, in which were the lamp-stand/light, the table, and the bread of the Presence on the table.
3 And behind the second curtain was a second section, which is called the Most Holy Place, 4 and in it is the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden urn holding the manna, Aaron's staff that budded, and the tablets of the (first, hamartia revealing) covenant. (If you walked in with the lamp-stand lit, this room would be very reflective! And a postscript ‘26, heard a line “once a person sees gold.. gold fever”..}
5 Above the ark were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. But of these things we cannot now speak in detail. {The cherubim, a likeness of the cherubim/seraphim, around the throne? And in this case “covering” the ark. Of which Satan was “covering angel of Eden” ..And other covering angels - of animals - joined the revolt? (So became predator.)
Yet all of course as God foresaw. And he waited patiently, for the first bound to occur rebel thought, to not only occur, but to mature into outright sedition before creating the universe, mankind and Eden - so all take this unavoidable journey all together at once}.

Jesus went back to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath he went to the synagogue. When he stood up to read from the Scriptures, 17 he was given the book of Isaiah the prophet. He opened it and read, 18 “The LORD’s Spirit {Presence} is upon me. He has chosen me to tell the good news to the poor. He has sent me to announce freedom for the prisoners, to give sight to the blind, to free everyone who suffers, 19 and to say, ‘This is the year the Lord has chosen.’ ”
20 Jesus closed the book, then handed it back to the man in charge and sat down. Everyone in the synagogue was looking at Jesus, 21 and he said to them, “Today, this has come true.”
22 All the people started talking about Jesus and were amazed at the wonderful things he said. But they also said, “Isn't he Joseph's son?”
23 Jesus said to them, “You will certainly want to tell me this saying - Doctor, first make yourself well. And you’ll tell me to do the things here in my hometown that you heard I did in Capernaum. 24 But you can be sure that no prophets are listened to by those of their own hometown.
25 Once during the time of Elijah there was no rain for three and a half years, and people everywhere were starving. And were many widows, 26 but Elijah was sent only to one in the town of Zarephath near the city of Sidon.
27 And during the time of the prophet Elisha, many in Israel had leprosy. But no one was healed, except Naaman who lived in Syria.”
28 When the people in the synagogue heard Jesus say this, they became very angry 29 and got up as one, and were leading him out of town. They were dragging him along to the edge of the cliff on which the town was built, in order to throw him over. 30 But Jesus slipped away through the midst of them and went on his way.
