Hebrews 10:30-34 Mark 2:23-28 Luke 6:1-5
☀️ A.M. Hebrews 10:30-34
30 - For we know he who said, “Mine is vengeance, I will repay.” {Great acts of evil will not go without consequences.} And again, “The Lord will judge his people.” {Even on collective GWT judgement ‘day’ I believe he judges us in our own heart.} 31 A fearful thing it is to fall into the hands of the living God.
32 But recall the earlier days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a great conflict of suffering, 33 sometimes being publicly subjected to insults and persecution {accusation?} Sometimes being partners with those being mistreated. 34 For you have had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the seizure of your property, since you knew you have a better and an enduring possession [huparxis - existence, being, substance, property, trust, inheritance].
π P.M. Mark 2:23-28 Luke 6:1-5
23 - One Sabbath he was going through the grain fields, and as they made their way, his disciples began to pluck heads of grain. 24 And some Pharisees who saw it, said to Jesus, “Look, why are they doing what isn’t lawful to do on the Sabbath?!” {Like they were harvesting the field, lol.}
25 But he said to them, “Have you never read what David did? When he was in need and was hungry, he and those who were with him? 26 How he entered into the house of God, in the time of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the bread of the Presence, which it isn’t lawful for any but the priests to eat. And he also gave it to those who were with him? 27 The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. 28 So the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”
Lk.6:1 - On a Sabbath, while he was going through the grain fields, his disciples plucked some heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands, and ate the kernals”. 2 But some Pharisees there said, “Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?” 3 And Jesus answered, “Have you not read what David did when he was hungry? He and those who were with him? 4 How he entered the house of God and took the bread of the Presence and ate it? Which is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and also gave it to those with him? 5 The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”
