07-28 - From Heb-12 Lk-8

8Th ‘Day’ Study, verses R paraphrased [ref] {thots}

Hebrews 12:3-10  Luke 8:9-18

            ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 12:3-10

3 - Consider Jesus who endured such hostility against himself! So you don’t grow weary or fainthearted, 4 for in your struggle you haven’t had to suffer what others have. 5 And have you forgotten this? Which speaks to you as to sons and daughters - “My son/daughter, don’t regard lightly the discipline [paideia - discipline, instruction, training, education] of the LORD, nor be weary when corrected by him. 6 For he disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every one whom he receives” (Proverbs 3:11-12).

    7 The endurance {crucible} is a discipline. God is treating us as sons and daughters. For what son or daughter is there whom a father doesn’t correct? 8 If we are left without correction, in which all take part, then we are illegitimate children, and not sons and daughters! 9 Besides, haven’t we had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them? Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and receive Life? 10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed fitting to them, but he disciplines us for our benefit, that we may share his character and his nature of holiness.

     {How can we be a temple for his Spirit/Presence if we aren’t aligned with him? He is Life, Love, and “is perfect” Mt.5:48. Perfect and Life, is why this imperfection is ruled by entropy, and so he “is savior of all”. Some now, some during the GWT “aionion kolasis” (eonian korrection) second half of an “8th” millennium, REV.20, and LEV.23-as an outline of the Lord’s TWO advents. The long second advent, surely(?) is a full scope version of his first so brief one.. but with helpers serving, called reigning? It being Mt.25:1-13 versus Rev.16:14-15-16? What I mean is MT.13:30 with Jn.5:28,29.}

            πŸŒ™ P.M. Luke 8:9-18

9 - When his disciples asked him what the parable of the seeds meant, 10 Jesus said, “To you it’s been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God. But for others they’re in parables, so that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’ {Not their time.}

     11 The seed is the word of God. 12 The seeds along the path are those who hear the message, but then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts so they may not believe and be saved.

     13 And the seed on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But they have no root {depth} and believe for a while, but in a time of difficulty, they fall away.

     14 And as for the seed (message) that fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way the message is choked by the cares, riches, and pleasures {distractions} of life. And the fruit {of the message} doesn’t mature.

     15 But as for the seed in the good soil, they are those who, with an honest and genuine heart, hear the word, and keep it. And with patience and steadfastness bear fruit.

     16 No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jug or puts it under a bed! But they put it on a table or lampstand, so those who enter may see by its light. 17 There’s nothing hidden that won’t be made known, no secret and mystery, that won’t be seen and come to light.

     18 Take care then, how you hear, for to the one who has (hears) more will be given. And from the one who has not {doesn’t hear} even what they think they have, will be taken away.” {Note how there’s no time word in this verse so why is there so much assuming of ‘for ever’..? Including likely, when this verse is read. And some verses with no time word in them, have been translated to include the word “forever”.}
