06-24 - From Heb-5 Lk-2

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

Hebrews 5:5-9  Luke 2:8-20

           ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 5:5-9

5 - Even Christ didn’t exalt himself to be made a high priest! Instead he was appointed by He who said to him, “You are my Son, today I’ve begotten you”. 6 And says in another place, “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.” {Proving his pre-existence with the Father, as the only straight out from God one, called, forever first/proto. So close both administer God’s Spirit/Presence, same as will saturate and “seal” all creation and humanity. God’s “end-aim” (tel, translated end). How do you keep a paradise intact? An ant farm is no paradise?}

     7 In the days of his {entropic} flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to he who was able to save him from death, and was heard because of his reverence and submission. 8 Although he was a son, through what he suffered, he learned obedience. 9 And being tested as perfect, to all who obey him, he became the source of enduring salvation.

     [Ps.22:27 - All the ends of earth will remember (zakar - be mindful of) and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will praise Him.]

            πŸŒ™ P.M. Luke 2:8-20

8 - Not far away that same night, there were shepherds in the field, keeping watch over their sheep. 9 Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and the glory of the Lord was shining brightly. The shepherds were filled with fear and wonder.

     10 And the angel said, “Fear not, for listen, I bring you good news, of great joy, that will be for all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be a sign for you, you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger” (a feeding trough). 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host [stratia - army, band, organized host] praising God, saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest! And his good pleasure, in which he delights, peace on Earth among men!”

     15 When the angels left, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this which the LORD has made known to us!” 16 And they went with haste, and they found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. 17 And when they saw him, they told all which they had heard concerning the child. 18 And all who heard it wondered. 19 But Mary treasured up these things, pondering them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as it had been told to them by the angel.

             Luke 2:8-20

8 There were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 And, lo! An angel of the Lord came to them. The glory of the Lord shone round about them, and (let me tell you) they were sore afraid.

     10  But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid! I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people! 11 For there has been born to you today, in the city of David, a savior who is Messiah/Christ the Lord. 12 And this is the sign to you, to find a baby wrapped in (long strips of) cloth and lying in a phatnΓ© - manger, feeding-trough.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest! And on earth peace with man [anthropos, male and female made he them] and goodwill.”

     15 When the angels went away from them back into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us of!” 16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger (and bed of hay). 17 After seeing him, the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child. (God reached, and reaching out to, the everyday folk.. before the kings.) 18 And all who heard it wondered at what they had heard. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had seen and heard, and for all that had been said.

From New Testament Letters

          (In Order Written)

           ~ Hebrews 5:5-9 ~

5 In the same way, Christ did not take upon himself the honor of being a high priest. Instead, God said to him (so long ago - “he was with God from the beginning”/creation) "You are my Son. This very day I have begotten you." 6 Just as He says also in another place: "You are a priest to the age, according to the order of Melchizedek." (Throughout the entire.) 7 As a mortal man, he offered up prayers and appeals with loud cries and tears to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. (Ultimately his offering up of himself - submission. This was in the Gethsemane garden/olive grove, just prior to his arrest.) 8 Son though he was, even he learned obedience from what he suffered. 9 In this way, God qualified him as a - perfect - High Priest, and to all those obeying him, the origin of (the) rescue and remedy [sōtΔ“rΓa - from - sαΉ“zō - to save, rescue – salvation, deliverance, i.e. God's rescue which delivers out-of destruction and into safety]. (True rescue requires remedy.)
