☀️ A.M. James 4:1-6
1 - What causes quarrels and disputes? (Rivalry.) Is it not your passions [hédoné {ism}] at war within you? 2 You desire and don’t have, so you murder (hate in the heart). You covet and can’t obtain, so you fight and quarrel. {Make wars, large and small, collective and individual.}
And you don’t have, because you don’t ask! 3 Or you ask and don’t receive, because you ask wrongly, in self interest/obsession(?) [hédoné] {ism}. 4 You unfaithful people! [Gal.5:20]
Do you not know that friendship with {listening to, siding with} the world is to be adversarial with God? Wishing to be a friend of “the world” makes us an adversary of God. 5 Do you think it is to no purpose that the Scripture says, “With jealousy, yearns God’s Spirit{/Presence} to dwell/settle in us”? 6 Nevertheless his grace is greater! Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud [hyperḗphanos - over shining]. But he gives grace to the humble.” {…”the wisdom of humility”.}

14 - Jesus healed a man who was mute by casting out a demon, and when the man spoke, the people marveled. 15 But some said, “He casts out demons by Beelzebul, the prince of demons!” {..Spirit (trend) of accusation, and who is “the accuser?}
16 Even while others, trying to test him, kept asking him for a sign from heaven. 17 But he knew what they were thinking, so he said to them, “Every kingdom/empire/nation/house which is divided against itself will be laid waste.
For a divided household {and nation, etc.} falls. 18 So if Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom continue? 19 If I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out?
Therefore they will judge you over it. 20 But if it’s by the finger of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come among you.
21 If a strong man {of the household/nation} is fully armed, and is guarded well, the house is safe. 22 But if one stronger than he attacks, and is able to conquer him, his armor in which he trusted is carried away, and his house becomes spoils to be divided among the conquerors. 23 Whoever’s not with me, is {easily} against me, and whoever doesn’t gather with me, scatters.
24 “When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person {or world/age/nation} it passes through desert places looking for somewhere to settle, and finding none it says, ‘I’ll return to the house where I was.’ 25 And when it comes, it finds the house swept and put in order. 26 Then it goes and gathers seven other spirits more evil than itself! And they enter and make theirselves at home there.

27 As he said these things, a woman in the crowd yelled out, “Blessed is the womb that bore you! And the bosom at which you nursed!” 28 But he said, “Rather [menounge - rather, on the contrary] blessed are those who hear the word [logos - reasoning expressed in words] of God and keep it.” [“Thy Logos is Truth” Jn.17:17. The personified aNd the written (with language tools! So we can read the original which God inspired.)
