LUKE 8 49-56

 a paraphrased ‘enter the story

πŸƒπŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️πŸƒ

   08/09 - GospeL Verses

49 - While Jesus was still walking and teaching, someone from the Jairus’ house came and said, “Your daughter has died, don’t trouble the teacher any longer.” 50 But Jesus heard and said, “Don’t fear. Just believe. And she will be well.”

     51 When they came to the house, he allowed no one to enter with him, except Peter, John and James, and the father and mother of the girl. 52 And the people who had gathered, were weeping and mourning, but he said, “Don’t weep. She’s not dead but sleeping.” {The big sleep.} 53 And they laughed at him, for they knew she had died {perished, hades-not seen, state of being gone, God is Life and “is perfect” mt.5:48, so straying/imperfect is entropy and an abyss of potential, already proven, but no option to stray in Eden would be an Ant Farm). {Ant Farm versus Total ‘herd’ Immunity. Root word of logic, is logos.}

      54 Taking her by the hand he said, “Child, arise.” 55 And her spirit [pneuma - spirit, wind, breath] returned, and she got up at once. And he told them to give her something to eat. 56 And her parents were amazed, but he told them not to tell anyone what had occurred. (Eye witness accounts always differ.. all but John were executed rather than deny their testimony.)

   08/07 - GospeL Verses

21 - And when the boat had crossed back to the other side, again a great crowd gathered by the shore to meet them. 22 Then came along a leader of the synagogue, Jairus by name, and seeing Jesus, he fell at his feet 23 and implored him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death! Come and lay your hands on her, so she may be made well and live.”

     24 And so he went with him. And the crowd went with them, crowding about him. 25 And in the crowd was a woman who had had a bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered much under many different doctors, and had spent all she had, and was no better off but had only grown worse. 27 She had heard the reports about Jesus and she came up behind him and touched his garment. 28 For she thought, “If I but touch his clothing, I will be made well.”

     29 And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed. 30 And Jesus, knowing power had gone out from him, turned around and said, “Who touched my clothes?” 31 And his disciples said, “This crowd is pressing around you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’” 32 But he looked around to see who it was. 33 And the woman, knowing what had happened within her, came trembling and fell down before him, and told him the whole truth. 34 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well! Go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”

     35 While he was still speaking, there came from the synagogue leader’s home, messengers who said, “Your daughter has died. Don’t trouble the teacher any longer. 36 But hearing, Jesus said to him, “Don’t be afraid, just believe.” 37 And he allowed no one to follow him except Peter and the brothers James and John. (The three were fishermen together with at least two boats, with John and James’ father. Jesus had called the brothers “sons of thunder” which I think is a reference concerning the father.. for raising good sons and children(?)

     38 And they came to the house where people were wailing and weeping. 39 But Jesus said, “Why are you making a commotion? And doing all this weeping? The child is not dead but sleeping.” 40 And they laughed at him. But he put them all outside and took the child's father and mother and those who were with him and they went in where the child was. 41 And taking her by the hand he said, “Talitha cumi,”which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” 42 And immediately the girl got up and began walking about, for she was twelve years of age, and they were immediately overcome with amazement. 43 And he told them that none should know of it, and said to give her something to eat.

1 - My little children (disciple, elder and apostle John is now an old man) I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin [hamartanΓ³ - to miss the mark, do wrong, sin]. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 He is the propitiation [hilasmos - atonement, expiation-took on the penalty] (wage, result) for our sins (which was death - the debt he paid) and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments [entolΓ© - injunction, orders, commands, instructions]. 4 Someone who says “I know him” but doesn’t follow is a liar, and the truth is not in them, 5 but whoever keeps his word, in them truly, the love of God is being perfected. And by this - we can know we are abiding in him.

11 But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness, and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going. Because the darkness has blinded them. 12 I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins (wrongdoings) have been forgiven on account of his name. 13 I am writing to you who are mature in the faith because you know he, who has existed from the beginning. I am writing to you who are young in the faith because you have won your battle with the evil one. 14 I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, mature, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young believers, because you are strong, the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome [nikaΓ³ - conquered, prevailed over] the evil one.

          Luke 8:40-48

40 When Jesus returned to the other side of the lake, the people welcomed him, because they had all been waiting for him. 41 Then a man named Jairus, a synagogue leader, came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come to his house 42 because his only daughter, who was about twelve, was dying. As Jesus went with him, the crowds pressed around Him. 43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her money on physicians, and could not be healed by any, 44 coming up behind Jesus, touched the fringe of his robe and immediately, she was made well. 45 “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. Every one said it wasn’t them, and Peter said, “Master, this whole crowd is pressing up against you.” 46 Jesus said, “I felt power go out of me is how I know someone touched me.” 47 Then the woman, seeing that she could not slip away unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. 48 “Daughter,” he said to her, “your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

         ~ 1 John 2:6-10 ~

6 Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did. 7 Dear friends, I am not writing a new commandment for you, rather it is an old one you have had from the very beginning. This old commandment—to love one another—is the same message you heard before. 8 Yet it is also new. Jesus lived the truth of this commandment, and you also are living it. For the darkness is disappearing, and the true light is already shining. (In the world.. though not fully, and there was prophesied a later “falling away”.) 9 Whoever says he is in the light and hates his fellow person is still in darkness. 10 But if we love others, we are in the light, and we don't cause problems for them. (Instead we try to be a blessing, which impulse is the natural out-raying of God’s Spirit/Presence. We are part of God’s letter to the world.)
