08-30 - 3 John 1 1-8 Luke 9 46-50

Verses paraphrased due to ©‘s [ref] {thots}

(An 8TH ‘DAY’ Studies Journal)

            ☀️ A.M. 3 John 1:1-8

1 - From the elder, to my dear friend Gaius, whom I love in the truth. 2 Beloved, I pray you prosper in all things and be in health, even as your soul [psychē - soul, mind, life, self, inner being] prospers. 3 It makes me very happy when the Lord's followers come by and mention how you are living in the truth. 4 Nothing brings me greater happiness than to hear that my children (in the faith) are obeying the truth.

     5 Dear friend, you have always been faithful in helping other followers of the Lord, even ones you’ve not met before and don’t know. 6 They have told the church of your love. [Church - ekklésia - from ek - out from and to, and kaléō - to call – called out - from the world - and to God - (called out) assembly.] Saying you welcomed them gladly and sent them on their mission with all that they needed. 7 When they left here to tell others about the Lord, they decided not to accept help from anyone but followers of the Lord. 8 And so it’s good we support such as they, so we can share in their labors!

            🌙 P.M. LUKE 9:46-50

46 - The disciples were arguing about which one of them was the greatest. 47 Jesus knew it, so he had a child come and stand beside him. 48  And he said to them, “When you welcome even a child {showing humbleness of spirit?} because of me, you welcome me. And when you welcome me, you welcome the one who sent me. Whichever one of you is the most humble, that’s the one who is greatest.”

     49 John said, “Master, we saw a man using your name to force demons out of people. But we told him to stop, because he isn't one of us.” 50 “Don't stop him,” Jesus said. “Whoever isn't against you, is for you.”

08-12 - 1John 2 23-29 Luke 9 1-9

(8th ‘Day’ Studies) verses paraphrased due to ©‘s [ref] {thots}

           ☀️ A.M. 1John 2:23-29

23 - A believer who denies the Son, doesn’t have the Father. But whoever confesses the Son, has the Father as well. 24 Let what you heard from the beginning (of the gospel) stay with you! {The original and genuine message.} If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son, and also in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that he made to us - enduring life. [“Aionion Life”]

     26 I {disciple/apostle John} write these things to you because there are those who are trying to mislead you! 27 But if the anointing he gives, and that you received abides in you, then you have no need that someone should guide and teach you. For it is his anointing that teaches you about everything! And is true. And so it is no lie, just as it has been taught you -> abide in Him.

     28 And now, little children, abide in him - so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink back from him at his coming. 29 If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that believers who practice righteousness have been born of him. {Every generation lives in expectation of him, because the ‘end’, conclusion, ripened results (greek end-aim) is always near.}

            🌙 P.M. LUKE 9:1-9

1 - Jesus called together those twelve which he chose and gave them power and authority over demons, and power and authority to cure diseases. 2 And sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal.

     3 He told them, “Take nothing for your journey, no staff or bag, no bread or money, and no second tunics. 4 And whatever house you are welcomed into, stay there, until you leave. 5 And wherever they won’t receive you, when you leave shake the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.” {Don’t let it bother you.}

     6 And so they went through the villages, preaching the gospel and healing.

     7 Now Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was going on, and he was puzzled, because it was said by some that John the Baptizer had been raised from the dead. 8 Others said Elijah had appeared. And still others said one of the prophets of old had risen. (From their grave, Jn.5:28,29). 9 So Herod said, “I beheaded John! Who is this!? About whom I hear such things?” And he sought to see him for himself.

08-05 - From 1Jn-1 Lk-8

8Th ‘Day’ Study, verses R paraphrased [ref] {thots}

1John 1:1-4  Luke 8:26-39

            ☀️ A.M. 1John 1:1-4

1 John, 2 John and 3 John are letters written by the disciple/apostle John, who also wrote the “Gospel According to John” and the Book of (the) Revelation (vision). He’s the only one of the twelve who lived to an old age, which is when he wrote these letters and received the revelation vision.

     1Jn.1:1 - That which was from the beginning, which we (apostles) have heard, which we saw with our eyes, and looked upon and have touched with our hands. [After resurrection Jesus said “touch me and see that I have flesh and bones”.] The things concerning the word of life. 2 For the life was made visible [phaneróō - from phṓs - light – properly, illumine, make manifest(visible)]. And we saw it, and testify of it, and proclaim it to you. That’s the life which was with the Father and was made known to us. 3 That which we have seen and heard we declare to you! So that you too may have friendship with God along with us. For indeed our friendship [koinónia] - {association, mutual benefiting, visiting, communion, friendship} is with the Father and with his Son Jesus. 4 And I am writing these things so the joy we all have may be complete and full.

            🌙 P.M. LUKE 8:26-39

26 - After the storm, they arrived at the country of the Gerasenes, which is on the opposite shore from Galilee. 27 When Jesus stepped out onto land, there met him a man from the city who had many demons. For a long time he hadn’t lived in a house, but lived among the tombs, and he wore no clothing. 28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, saying in a loud voice, “What have you to do with me! Jesus, you son of the Most High God! I beg of you! Don’t torment me!” 29 For Jesus had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and he was kept under guard and bound with chains and shackles. But he would break the bonds and be driven by his demons into the wilderness.

    30 Jesus then asked him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion,” for it was many demons which had entered into him. 31 And they begged him not to order them into the abyss.

     32  A large herd of pigs were feeding on a nearby hillside, so they begged him to let them enter the pigs. And so he let them, 33 and the demons came rushing out of the man and into the pigs, and the herd ran down the steep bank and into the lake and were drowned.

     34 Now when the herdsmen saw what had happened, they ran and told everyone in the countryside and in the city. 35 So people went out to see what had happened, and when they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom the demons had gone, sitting at his feet, clothed and in his right mind. And it made them afraid! 36 And those who saw what had happened told everyone else, all that had happened. 37 Then the people asked Jesus to leave, for they were under great fear.

     So he got into the boat and returned to the other side. 38 The man from whom the demons had gone had wanted to go with him, but Jesus said, 39 “Go on home, and tell everyone how much God has done for you.” And so he went on his way, and told throughout the whole region what Jesus had done for him.

06-30 - From Heb-7 Mk-1

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

Hebrews 7:4-10  Mark 1:1-8

             ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 7:4-10

4 - Think of how great this man was to whom Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of all he recovered! [From Abraham’s “battle against the kings” with a small band(?) to rescue his nephew Lot from being in captivity to a league of Mesopotamian kings.]

     5 And those descendants of Levi [from whose line were the civil servants, first at the tabernacle, and later the temple, which was literally the center of the twelve tribe nation] they have a commandment in the law to gather tithes from the people, that is, from their brothers, though they too are descended from Abraham.

     6 But this Melchizedek, received tithes from Abraham. And he blessed Abraham who had the promises from God. 7 It’s beyond dispute that the inferior in office is blessed by the superior. 8 In the one case tithes are received by mortal men, but in the other case, by one of whom it is fabled/implied/made to look as though he lives. [The way they met is like Melchizedek had no beginning or end.. like we see his path, Abraham crossed, and it just goes on without visible beginning or end.. And therefor (Paul or Apollo) is saying Melchizedek is a type of Christ, the Messiah.]

     9 One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, 10 paid tithes to Melchizedek through Abraham.

            🌙 P.M. Mark 1:1-8

(Mark was not a disciple, he may have seen and heard Jesus at a young age? He became a helper and sort of secretary to Paul and others and traveled some with Paul and fellow workers. His gospel account is thought to be the earliest and much of it by interview.) 1 - The beginning of the gospel [euaggelion - a good message, good news] of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. {The entire message is the logos personified, and the written logos.}

     2 As it’s written in Isaiah the prophet - “I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way” 3 the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

     4 (And so) John came, baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 5 And all the country of Judea and all Jerusalem were going out to him and were being baptized by him in the river Jordan, and confessing their sins [hamartia - missing the mark].

     6 Now John (“the baptist”/baptizer) was clothed with camel's hair and wore a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey. 7 And he preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I! The strap of whose sandals I’m not worthy to bend down and loose. 8 I have baptized you with water. But he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit{/Presence of God}.

     {Father, and Son-the only straight out from God one, called forever first/proto, are so close both administer God’s Spirit/Presence. Same as will saturate and “seal” all creation and humanity}.

REVELATION - 17 1-10

 Apocalypse logic & riddles, weekly study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

BOOK OF REVELATION

1 - Then one of the seven angels who had the seven (concurrent?) bowls came and said to me (disciple/apostle John) “Come, I’ll show you the {meanwhile} judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters, 2 with whom the kings of earth have committed fornication.” {I.e, powers and politicians are in bed with her.} “And those upon Earth have become drunk with the wine of her indecencies.”

     3 And the angel carried me away in the Spirit to a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of slanderous insults/blasphemes, and it had seven heads and ten horns. {A many headed geopolitical beast, Dan.7:7,19, a key - the iron and bronze of Dan-2.} 4 The woman {riding the beast} was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold, jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup (to drink) full of abominations and impurities. {‘Her’ fruits and side effects.}

     5 And on her forehead was written a name, “Mystery Babylon the Great, Mother of Prostitution [porné - probably from pernémi - to export for sale] and of all Earth's Abominations [bdélygma - from bdelýssō, derived from bdēō, to reek {stink to high heaven ..as the saying goes} abhorrent, detestable]”. {$ity Babylon with it’s bright but garish streets and dark alleys, with a forehead/psyche/mind of ‘mystery babble’ - all confusion. Beast & $ity, Socialism & Capitalism both go extreme, free trade gone nutz and indecent. Oligarchy, but which ends up going all armageddon at each other(?) in the valley when assembled against Israel? Just a recurring question. Yet verses 12 and 16 for sure, which says “the ten horns ..are ten kings who for one hour receive authority ..along with the (many headed geopolitical) beast” of the hour “they will hate her, bring her to ruin, and consume/deplete her, and raze her with fire..” She rides the huge beast, but what will happen when the huge beast rides her?}

     6 And I saw the woman {empire} drunk with the blood of saints, and of martyrs, and of Jesus.” And when I saw her I wondered greatly.

     7 But the angel said, “Why do you wonder? I’ll tell you the mystery of the woman (the $ity) and of the beast with seven heads and ten horns that carries her.” {She rode the beasts, soon one, to all seven hills/continents.}

     8 “The beast you saw was, then is not, and is destined to rise from the abyss” {of potential that imperfect is?} “and go to its destruction.” {History repeats, first was the Roman Empire later ‘Holy’ Roman Empire; then a modern last days “was, wasn’t ..then was again” after the 13:13 event, an event carried out by an oFFice.}

     “And those upon earth whose names are not {yet} written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder, seeing the beast that was, and is not, and then is.

    9 This all calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated. {Seven hills/continents.} 10 They are also seven kings {world empires?} five have fallen, one is (Rome and all Roman based? During which there is “wars to the end” Dan.9:26) the other (global) has not yet come and when he/it does come, it must remain only a little while.” {Alas, though lauded as peace, peace! will only last seven years? And be broken in the middle against Israel (Luke 19:41,44?) Then - Dan.12:11 - “1,290 days later - that is 3.5 hebrew calendar years plus 30 days later - will be set up the (final) abomination which causes desolation” ..This time upon the human temple meant for God’s Spirit/Presence? 1Corinthians 3:16 - “know you not, you are a temple of God?” And then, next verse, Dan.12:12 - “blessed is the one/those who wait, and come to, the days, 1,335” which is 45 days later? The last “ten days” escalating to most critical-Rev.2:10? “until the end that is decreed is poured out..” Dan.9:27.}

01-31 - Ro-5 Mt-10

🗝️s New Testament & Bible prophecy study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • Romans 5:16-21  Mt. 10:16-26 and ACTS 15:22-41 separately

            ☀️ Romans 5:16-21

16 - And the free gift isn’t like the result of that one man's sin. For the judgment {result} of one trespass brought liability, but the free gift, which followed many trespasses, brought acquittal and pardon.

     17 Because of one man's trespass, death has reigned, through that one trespass. {How God planned it, one and done.} How much more, will those who receive the abundance of grace, and free gift of pardon and righteousness, reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ? {I.e. all die through Adam and because of Adam, how much more shall all live through Jesus and because of Jesus.}

     18 Therefore, as the one trespass led to serious result for all {imperfect/entropy doesn’t reverse course} so also, the one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all. 19 For as by the one man's disobedience “the many” were made sinners {hamartians - missing the mark, imperfect} so by the one man's obedience “the many” will be made righteous. 20 Now the law was given to magnify the trespass, but where trespass abounded, grace abounded — all the more, 21 so that, as sin [hamartia - missing the mark] reigns into and as death, grace reigns in life. Justification/pardon and righteousness leads to enduring life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

            🌙 Matthew 10:16-26

16 - “Listen” Jesus said, “I’m sending you out like sheep into the midst of wolves. So be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” {In thought, word and deed. And to be harmless is to be wise?}

     17 “Beware of man. For they will deliver you over to courts and even have you flogged. 18 You’ll be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the nations. 19 When they deliver you over, don’t worry about what you will say. For what you will say will be given to you in that hour. 20 Because it’s not you who speaks, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.” {Truth, logos, logic.}

     21 “Brother will betray brother over to death, and a father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and have them put to death. 22 You will be hated. For my name's sake, by all.” {Of the world.} “But the one who endures to the end will be saved [sózó - to save, heal, preserve, rescue; from a primary word σώος (sóos), meaning safe, or sound]. {Isaiah 24:20/Rev.10:4, as Mt.13:30 is Rev.16:14-15-16 and, or Mt.25:1-13 the door into serving called reigning during long 2nd advent, full scope version of his 1st so brief one.}

     23 “If they persecute you in one town, flee to the next, for truly I tell you, you will not have completed the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.” [Daniel 7:13 - In the night visions I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. (“All the world’s a stage” - Shakespeare.) Matthew 27:21,22 - Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven {on that day} but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven..]

     24 “A disciple isn’t above their teacher, nor a servant above their master. 25 It’s enough for the disciple to be like their teacher, and the servant like their master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more those of his household? 26 But have no fear of them. For nothing is covered over, that won’t be revealed, or hidden, that won’t be made known.”

01-24 - Ro-4 Mt-8

🗝️s New Testament & Bible prophecy study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • Romans 4:1-8  Matthew 8:18-27

            ☀️ Romans 4:1-8

1 - What then shall we say was gained by Abraham, our forefather according to the natural? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about. But not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness.”

     4 Now to the one who works, his wages aren’t counted as a gift! But as his due, and what he has earned. 5 Yet to the one who doesn’t work {to earn Life, relying on one’s effort} but believes in he who justifies the ungodly {and imperfect} their faith is reckoned as righteousness. 6 This is just as David spoke of the blessing of the one to whom God reckons as righteous, apart from works. {Apart from trying to earn what GOD says is a gift. Just like life is a gift. BE a whole burnt offering to him. Yielded into his hands for the transforming POWER - “Let us” Father and Son “make mankind in our image” {reflection, likeness, replication}.

     7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the person, upon whom the LORD will not reckon sin [hamartia - missing the mark].” {Slate is clean.. born again of the Spirit/Presence of God, with one “rule” - not to earn, but for one’s own self -  love God (pursue, listen, his voice is in the Quietness). Rule 1 fulfills all others, for in it is genuine love and affection for our fellow person. And “love works no ill”. But we do not “put on perfection and (thus) immortality” until the resurrection at his return for long second advent. Rev.16:13-15-16 and Mt.25:1-13 as Mt.13:30.}

            🌙 Matthew 8:18-27

18 - There was such a big crowd following Jesus, that he decided to go to the other side of the lake. 19 And a scribe came up and said to him, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go!” 20 But Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”

     21 Another disciple [mathétés - disciple, learner, pupil] said to him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” 22 And Jesus said, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.” {Entropic. Imperfect =‘s entropy, the slow gehenna fire that cannot be put out. And the worm that doesn’t quit, in this living ‘parable’ of the decomposing ‘apple’.}

     23 And when he got into the boat, the twelve did as well. 24 But there arose a great storm and the boat was being swamped by the waves.

     Meanwhile Jesus was sleeping. 25 So they woke him, and said, “Save us, Lord! We’re perishing!” 26 And he said, “Why are you afraid, oh ye of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the waves, and there was a great calm. 27 And the men marveled, saying, “What manner of man is this, that even the winds and sea obey him?”
