04-21 - 1Tim-1 Mt-23

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

 • 1 Timothy 1:9-15  Matthew 23:1-12

            ☀️ 1 Timothy 1:9-15

(Verse 8, Paul against other doctrine — We know the law is good, if one uses it lawfully) 9 but understanding this, that the law isn’t scribed/written for the just. But is written for the lawless and disobedient. For the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike fathers and mothers, for murderers, 10 for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for enslavers, and liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching. 11 This is a part of the gospel/message/good news {and program/administration} of the {radiant, undeniable} GL0RY of the blessed God, with which I (Paul) have been entrusted.

     12 I thank he who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, and appointed me to his service.

     13 Though formerly I was a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent opponent! But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly and in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that is found in Christ Jesus. 15 And this saying is true and trustworthy, and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners [hamartรณlos - from hamartanล - to miss the mark] {to save hamartians, the imperfect, all of us}. And I (Paul) am the worst of them all.

            ๐ŸŒ™ Matthew 23:1-12

1 - Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, 2 “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses' seat, 3 so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not as they do. For they preach, but don’t practice.

     4 They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and they lay them on people's shoulders. But they themselves don’t have to carry them.

     5 They do all their deeds to be seen by others, making their phylacteries broad and their fringes long. 6 They love the places of honor at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, 7 and to be greeted in the marketplaces and called rabbi.

     8 But you should not be called rabbi. For you have one teacher. And you are all brothers and sisters. 9 And call no one Father, for you have one Father, who’s in heaven. 10 Neither be called teachers, for you have one teacher, the Christ. 11 The greatest among you shall be as a servant. 12 Whoever exalts their self will be humbled. And whoever humbles their self will be honored.

01-24 - Ro-4 Mt-8

๐Ÿ—️s New Testament & Bible prophecy study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • Romans 4:1-8  Matthew 8:18-27

            ☀️ Romans 4:1-8

1 - What then shall we say was gained by Abraham, our forefather according to the natural? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about. But not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness.”

     4 Now to the one who works, his wages aren’t counted as a gift! But as his due, and what he has earned. 5 Yet to the one who doesn’t work {to earn Life, relying on one’s effort} but believes in he who justifies the ungodly {and imperfect} their faith is reckoned as righteousness. 6 This is just as David spoke of the blessing of the one to whom God reckons as righteous, apart from works. {Apart from trying to earn what GOD says is a gift. Just like life is a gift. BE a whole burnt offering to him. Yielded into his hands for the transforming POWER - “Let us” Father and Son “make mankind in our image” {reflection, likeness, replication}.

     7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the person, upon whom the LORD will not reckon sin [hamartia - missing the mark].” {Slate is clean.. born again of the Spirit/Presence of God, with one “rule” - not to earn, but for one’s own self -  love God (pursue, listen, his voice is in the Quietness). Rule 1 fulfills all others, for in it is genuine love and affection for our fellow person. And “love works no ill”. But we do not “put on perfection and (thus) immortality” until the resurrection at his return for long second advent. Rev.16:13-15-16 and Mt.25:1-13 as Mt.13:30.}

            ๐ŸŒ™ Matthew 8:18-27

18 - There was such a big crowd following Jesus, that he decided to go to the other side of the lake. 19 And a scribe came up and said to him, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go!” 20 But Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”

     21 Another disciple [mathรฉtรฉs - disciple, learner, pupil] said to him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” 22 And Jesus said, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.” {Entropic. Imperfect =‘s entropy, the slow gehenna fire that cannot be put out. And the worm that doesn’t quit, in this living ‘parable’ of the decomposing ‘apple’.}

     23 And when he got into the boat, the twelve did as well. 24 But there arose a great storm and the boat was being swamped by the waves.

     Meanwhile Jesus was sleeping. 25 So they woke him, and said, “Save us, Lord! We’re perishing!” 26 And he said, “Why are you afraid, oh ye of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the waves, and there was a great calm. 27 And the men marveled, saying, “What manner of man is this, that even the winds and sea obey him?”
