BOOK OF REVELATION - 6 1-4

 Weekly Book of Revelation CU Studies Journal, Verses paraphrased due to ©‘s [ref] {thots}

Revelation/Apocalypse 1:1-3 — The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that need be occurring in quickness [tachos - speed, swiftness, quickness]. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John {the disciple, a “son of Zebedee” and fisherman with his brother James, also a disciple. John wrote the “Gospel of John” and we have three short letters he wrote.}

     2 And John bore witness to the message of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. 3 Blessed is the one reading or hearing the words of the prophecy, and keeping the things in it having been written for (the) time (is) near [eggus - near, close, nearby, nearer, ready]. {Having been written for the near time? Like Daniel 12:9?}

THE vision 1 - Now I {disciple/apostle John} was watching as the Lamb [Jesus] opened one of the seven seals upon the scroll, and I heard one of the four {majestic} living creatures say with a voice like thunder, “Come!” 2 And I looked! And there, was a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came riding forth conquering, and to conquer. {This white horse may be two things? The gospel riding forth into the age (of our Lord, A.D.) “openly victorious over powers and principalities” Colossians 2:15. And, or, it may be an empire of Satan that finally sweeps the world. Patterns in prophecy do repeat? And logically, both will escalate, gather momentum toward gallop, in late days and ‘last’ hour.}

     3 When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” {“Seconds” - Father is veRy organized?} 4 And out came another horse. This one was fiery [pyrros] red and its rider was allowed to take peace from the earth, so that people slay one another, and he was given a long sword (Isaiah 24:20/Rev.10:4). {Obviously war. And war is given a megas - a great, large, mighty sword. Second of the four horsemen of the apocalypse is mankind’s response to the good news? Psalm 2. And the global sweeping power causes much war and the last war. As it comes into possession of the mega ‘sword’?}

08-12 - 1John 2 23-29 Luke 9 1-9

(8th ‘Day’ Studies) verses paraphrased due to ©‘s [ref] {thots}

           ☀️ A.M. 1John 2:23-29

23 - A believer who denies the Son, doesn’t have the Father. But whoever confesses the Son, has the Father as well. 24 Let what you heard from the beginning (of the gospel) stay with you! {The original and genuine message.} If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son, and also in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that he made to us - enduring life. [“Aionion Life”]

     26 I {disciple/apostle John} write these things to you because there are those who are trying to mislead you! 27 But if the anointing he gives, and that you received abides in you, then you have no need that someone should guide and teach you. For it is his anointing that teaches you about everything! And is true. And so it is no lie, just as it has been taught you -> abide in Him.

     28 And now, little children, abide in him - so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink back from him at his coming. 29 If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that believers who practice righteousness have been born of him. {Every generation lives in expectation of him, because the ‘end’, conclusion, ripened results (greek end-aim) is always near.}

            ๐ŸŒ™ P.M. LUKE 9:1-9

1 - Jesus called together those twelve which he chose and gave them power and authority over demons, and power and authority to cure diseases. 2 And sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal.

     3 He told them, “Take nothing for your journey, no staff or bag, no bread or money, and no second tunics. 4 And whatever house you are welcomed into, stay there, until you leave. 5 And wherever they won’t receive you, when you leave shake the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.” {Don’t let it bother you.}

     6 And so they went through the villages, preaching the gospel and healing.

     7 Now Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was going on, and he was puzzled, because it was said by some that John the Baptizer had been raised from the dead. 8 Others said Elijah had appeared. And still others said one of the prophets of old had risen. (From their grave, Jn.5:28,29). 9 So Herod said, “I beheaded John! Who is this!? About whom I hear such things?” And he sought to see him for himself.

08-05 - From 1Jn-1 Lk-8

8Th ‘Day’ Study, verses R paraphrased [ref] {thots}

1John 1:1-4  Luke 8:26-39

            ☀️ A.M. 1John 1:1-4

1 John, 2 John and 3 John are letters written by the disciple/apostle John, who also wrote the “Gospel According to John” and the Book of (the) Revelation (vision). He’s the only one of the twelve who lived to an old age, which is when he wrote these letters and received the revelation vision.

     1Jn.1:1 - That which was from the beginning, which we (apostles) have heard, which we saw with our eyes, and looked upon and have touched with our hands. [After resurrection Jesus said “touch me and see that I have flesh and bones”.] The things concerning the word of life. 2 For the life was made visible [phanerรณล - from phแน“s - light – properly, illumine, make manifest(visible)]. And we saw it, and testify of it, and proclaim it to you. That’s the life which was with the Father and was made known to us. 3 That which we have seen and heard we declare to you! So that you too may have friendship with God along with us. For indeed our friendship [koinรณnia] - {association, mutual benefiting, visiting, communion, friendship} is with the Father and with his Son Jesus. 4 And I am writing these things so the joy we all have may be complete and full.

            ๐ŸŒ™ P.M. LUKE 8:26-39

26 - After the storm, they arrived at the country of the Gerasenes, which is on the opposite shore from Galilee. 27 When Jesus stepped out onto land, there met him a man from the city who had many demons. For a long time he hadn’t lived in a house, but lived among the tombs, and he wore no clothing. 28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, saying in a loud voice, “What have you to do with me! Jesus, you son of the Most High God! I beg of you! Don’t torment me!” 29 For Jesus had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and he was kept under guard and bound with chains and shackles. But he would break the bonds and be driven by his demons into the wilderness.

    30 Jesus then asked him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion,” for it was many demons which had entered into him. 31 And they begged him not to order them into the abyss.

     32  A large herd of pigs were feeding on a nearby hillside, so they begged him to let them enter the pigs. And so he let them, 33 and the demons came rushing out of the man and into the pigs, and the herd ran down the steep bank and into the lake and were drowned.

     34 Now when the herdsmen saw what had happened, they ran and told everyone in the countryside and in the city. 35 So people went out to see what had happened, and when they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom the demons had gone, sitting at his feet, clothed and in his right mind. And it made them afraid! 36 And those who saw what had happened told everyone else, all that had happened. 37 Then the people asked Jesus to leave, for they were under great fear.

     So he got into the boat and returned to the other side. 38 The man from whom the demons had gone had wanted to go with him, but Jesus said, 39 “Go on home, and tell everyone how much God has done for you.” And so he went on his way, and told throughout the whole region what Jesus had done for him.

REVELATION - 17 1-10

 Apocalypse logic & riddles, weekly study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

BOOK OF REVELATION

1 - Then one of the seven angels who had the seven (concurrent?) bowls came and said to me (disciple/apostle John) “Come, I’ll show you the {meanwhile} judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters, 2 with whom the kings of earth have committed fornication.” {I.e, powers and politicians are in bed with her.} “And those upon Earth have become drunk with the wine of her indecencies.”

     3 And the angel carried me away in the Spirit to a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of slanderous insults/blasphemes, and it had seven heads and ten horns. {A many headed geopolitical beast, Dan.7:7,19, a key - the iron and bronze of Dan-2.} 4 The woman {riding the beast} was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold, jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup (to drink) full of abominations and impurities. {‘Her’ fruits and side effects.}

     5 And on her forehead was written a name, “Mystery Babylon the Great, Mother of Prostitution [pornรฉ - probably from pernรฉmi - to export for sale] and of all Earth's Abominations [bdรฉlygma - from bdelรฝssล, derived from bdฤ“ล, to reek {stink to high heaven ..as the saying goes} abhorrent, detestable]”. {$ity Babylon with it’s bright but garish streets and dark alleys, with a forehead/psyche/mind of ‘mystery babble’ - all confusion. Beast & $ity, Socialism & Capitalism both go extreme, free trade gone nutz and indecent. Oligarchy, but which ends up going all armageddon at each other(?) in the valley when assembled against Israel? Just a recurring question. Yet verses 12 and 16 for sure, which says “the ten horns ..are ten kings who for one hour receive authority ..along with the (many headed geopolitical) beast” of the hour “they will hate her, bring her to ruin, and consume/deplete her, and raze her with fire..” She rides the huge beast, but what will happen when the huge beast rides her?}

     6 And I saw the woman {empire} drunk with the blood of saints, and of martyrs, and of Jesus.” And when I saw her I wondered greatly.

     7 But the angel said, “Why do you wonder? I’ll tell you the mystery of the woman (the $ity) and of the beast with seven heads and ten horns that carries her.” {She rode the beasts, soon one, to all seven hills/continents.}

     8 “The beast you saw was, then is not, and is destined to rise from the abyss” {of potential that imperfect is?} “and go to its destruction.” {History repeats, first was the Roman Empire later ‘Holy’ Roman Empire; then a modern last days “was, wasn’t ..then was again” after the 13:13 event, an event carried out by an oFFice.}

     “And those upon earth whose names are not {yet} written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder, seeing the beast that was, and is not, and then is.

    9 This all calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated. {Seven hills/continents.} 10 They are also seven kings {world empires?} five have fallen, one is (Rome and all Roman based? During which there is “wars to the end” Dan.9:26) the other (global) has not yet come and when he/it does come, it must remain only a little while.” {Alas, though lauded as peace, peace! will only last seven years? And be broken in the middle against Israel (Luke 19:41,44?) Then - Dan.12:11 - “1,290 days later - that is 3.5 hebrew calendar years plus 30 days later - will be set up the (final) abomination which causes desolation” ..This time upon the human temple meant for God’s Spirit/Presence? 1Corinthians 3:16 - “know you not, you are a temple of God?” And then, next verse, Dan.12:12 - “blessed is the one/those who wait, and come to, the days, 1,335” which is 45 days later? The last “ten days” escalating to most critical-Rev.2:10? “until the end that is decreed is poured out..” Dan.9:27.}

๐Ÿ—️s New Testament & Bible prophecy study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • Romans 1:1-7  John 4:45-54

     ☀️ Paul’s Letter to the Romans 1:1-7

1 - (From) Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, and set apart for the message of God. 2 The message he promised long ago through his prophets, in the holy scriptures. 3 Namely, his Son! {The message ..and, the promise!} He was descended from David according to the earthly {and as written/prophesied} 4 and was declared in power {and by power} to be the Son of God. {With a message! A diadem of a message!}

     And it was demonstrated through the Spirit of holiness, by his resurrection from the dead. 5 It is through him, Jesus Christ, our Lord, that we have received grace and this apostleship [apostolรฉ - to be sent]. And this is in order to bring about faith and the fruit that’s produced when it’s followed, for the sake of his name, and his cause among all nations.

     6 This includes all of you, who are called [klรฉtos - called, invited] to belong to Jesus Christ. {Called during this brief lifetime.}

     7 To all those in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints (believers; later “we shall be like him”) - Grace to you! And peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

            ๐ŸŒ™ John 4:45-54

45 - So when he came to Galilee (but not yet Nazareth) the people welcomed him, having seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the Passover/Unleavened Bread feast. For they too had gone up to the feast.

     46 He went then, again to Cana in Galilee, where he had made the water into wine. Meanwhile at Capernaum, there was an official whose son was ill. 47 When this man heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went out to meet him and asked him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.

     48 So Jesus said to the crowd, “Unless the people see signs and wonders they won’t believe.”

     49 The official said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” 50 Jesus said to him, “Go on home, your son will live.” The man believed him, and went on his way.

     51 And as he was on his way, his paid workers came along and told him his son was recovering. 52 So he asked them what hour it was when he began to get well. And they told him, “The fever left him yesterday at the seventh hour.”

     53 The father knew that was the very hour when Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” And so he believed, and all his household with him. 54 This was now the second sign Jesus did in Cana of Galilee.

 ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ•Š️  reading & study  ๐Ÿ•Š️๐Ÿƒ

05/26 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

1 - From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, according to the promise of the life that is in Christ Jesus, 2 to Timothy, my beloved child in the Lord: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

     3 I thank God whom I serve, as did my ancestors, with a clear conscience, as I remember you in my prayers every day. 4 As I remember the tears we felt, I long to see you, that I may be filled with joy. 5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and now, I know dwells in you. 6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, 7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and a sound mind.

     8 Therefore don’t be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord! Nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel if need be, by the power of God, 9 who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of who we are or what we do, but because of hiS own purpose, and grace, which he gave us, in Christ Jesus, before the ages even began,

     Paul’s 1st Letter To Timothy

1 - Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by command [epitagรฉ - command, order, directive, injunction; from epรญ, "suitably on," {up close?} intensifying tรกssล - arrange(ment) a command "fitting" to the situation, i.e. an order that arranges things so they build on (Gk epi) each other to achieve the needed goal. Thus epitagแธ— - a structured command, also stresses the authority of the command] (by command) of God our Savior, and of Christ Jesus our expectation,

       2 To Timothy, my true child in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord.

     3 As I urged you when I was leaving to go to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus so you may charge certain ones not to teach different doctrine. 4 Nor to devote their time to myths and endless genealogies {today myths and many ideas ..that say follow me?} which only promote speculations rather than the stewardship and training from God that is by faith. 5 The aim being love that issues from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith. 6 Certain persons, by swerving from these, have wandered away into vain discussion, 7 desiring to be teachers, but neither understanding what they are saying or the things about which they make such confident assertions. 8 For instance, we know the law is good, if one uses it lawfully.. {But not endless debates over, we do not and cannot “earn” Life.. as if God would owe us. Paul interpreted “saved by faith”. From what? Death, its cause, and the entropy leading to its conclusion, transplanted into receiving the enduring Life, which is of course, God Himself. ๐ŸŽบ๐ŸŽ‰} (See today’s gospel verses.)

(Paul’s, actually third letter to the Corinthian believers - we’re missing the first one.) 1 - Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother: To the church of God that is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia. 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

     3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles [thlipsis - persecution, affliction, distress, tribulation] that we may be able to comfort those who are in any distress [thlipsis - persecution, affliction, distress, tribulation] with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ do we share abundantly in comfort [paraklรฉsis - comfort, encouragement, exhortation, consolation] as well. 6 If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. And if we are comforted, it’s for your comfort [paraklรฉsis - comfort, encouragement, exhortation, consolation] which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer. 7 Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort. {Paying it forward..}

GospeL Verses ~ Mark 5:21-43

21 - And when the boat had crossed back to the other side, again, a great crowd gathered by the shore. 22 Then came one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, and seeing Jesus, he fell at his feet 23 and implored him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Come and lay your hands on her, so she may be made well and live.” 24 And so he went with him. And the crowd followed and thronged about him. 25 And there was a woman who had had a discharge of bleeding for twelve years, 26 and who had suffered much under many doctors, and had spent all she had, and was no better off but rather had grown worse. 27 She had heard the reports about Jesus and she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. 28 For she thought, “If I but touch his clothing, I will be made well.” 29 And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease. 30 And Jesus, perceiving in himself that power had gone out from him, turned around and said, “Who touched my clothes?” 31 And his disciples said to him, “You see the crowd pressing around you, and yet you say, ‘Who touched me?’” 32 And he looked around to see who it was. 33 But the woman, knowing what had happened in her, came trembling and fell down before him and told him the whole truth. 34 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”

     35 While he was still speaking, there came from the ruler's home some who said, “Your daughter is dead. Don’t trouble the teacher any more. 36 But hearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Don’t be afraid, just believe.” 37 And he allowed no one to follow him except Peter and James and John the brother of James. 38 And they came to the house, and Jesus saw a commotion, people weeping and wailing. 39 And when he had entered, he said to them, “Why are you making a commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but sleeping.” 40 And they laughed at him. But he put them all outside and took the child's father and mother and those who were with him and they went in where the child was. 41 Taking her by the hand he said to her, “Talitha cumi,”which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” 42 And immediately the girl got up and began walking, for she was twelve years of age, and they were immediately overcome with amazement. 43 And he strictly charged them that no one should know of it, and told them to give her something to eat.

                ~ 1 John 2:1-5 ~

1 - My little children (disciple, elder and apostle John is now an old man) I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin [hamartanรณ - to miss the mark, do wrong, sin]. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 He is the propitiation [hilasmos - atonement, expiation-took on the penalty] (wage, result) for our sins (which was death - the debt he paid) and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments [entolรฉ - injunction, orders, commands, instructions]. 4 Someone who says “I know him” but doesn’t follow is a liar, and the truth is not in them, 5 but whoever keeps his word, in them truly, the love of God is being perfected. And by this - we can know we are abiding in him.
