12-11 - John 20 30 - 21 6

 N.T. in a year reading & study, verses R paraphrased [  ] references {  } thots

๐ŸŒ™ 30 - Jesus did many other signs while still with his disciples, which are not written of in this book. 31 But these are written so you may believe. That you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing have life in his name. {Enduring Life.}

21 Jesus again revealed himself to the disciples. This was by the Sea of Tiberias (eastern side of Lake/Sea of Galilee). 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. 3 Simon said, “I’m going fishing.” And they said, “We’ll go too.” And so they fished through the night, but they caught nothing.

4 But just as day was breaking, Jesus stood at the shore, and the disciples didn’t know it was him. 5 He called out to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No, not a one.” 6 He said, “Cast your net to the right of the boat, and you’ll find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul the net in, because of the number of fish. [This had happened earlier too, Lk.5:4-7.]

     06/11 - GospeL Verses

30 - Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book. 31 But what is written is so you may believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

21:1 - Now Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias (another name for Sea of Galilee). And in this way — 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. 3 Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing!” They said to him, “We’ll go too.” So they took the boat out, but all that night, they caught nothing.

4 And just as day was breaking, Jesus stood at the shore. The disciples didn’t know it was Jesus. 5 He said to them, “Children, have you any fish?” They answered, “No, we caught nothing.” 6 He said, “Cast the net to the right side of the boat, and you’ll find some.” So they did, and now they were not able to haul in the catch, there were so many.

30 - Now Jesus did many other signs while with the disciples, which aren’t written down in this book. 31 But these that are, are written so you will believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

21 A while later, after these things, Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias (another name for the sea of Galilee). 2 Simon Peter, Thomas, called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together, when 3 Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing.” And the others said, “We’ll go too.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they didn’t catch a thing.

But the disciples didn’t know it was him. 5 Jesus called out to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered, “No.” 6 He said, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they threw it out, and now they were not able to haul it back in, because of the number of fish in the net.

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                ~ Hebrews 2:1-3 ~

1 - So! We must pay close attention to what we have heard. Lest we drift away from it! 2 The message that was declared by angels was unchangeable, and every wrong and disobedience [parakoรฉ - a hearing amiss, by impl. straying] received a just retribution [misthapodosรญa - from misthรณs - reward, and apodรญdลmi - return, give back, compensation, wage] 3 how then shall we escape [ekpheugรณ - flee away, escape] if we neglect such a great salvation? (If we neglect the escape!) This great salvation was first declared by the Lord, and it was confirmed to us by those who heard him say it.

By The Sea

Mark 4:1
"And he began again to teach by the sea. And a great multitude was gathered to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat in it on the sea; and the whole multitude was on the land facing the sea."

Later..

From John 21:1,6,8-9,12

"After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias... `Cast the net on the right side of the boat` ...the disciples ..dragged in the net full of fish.. and they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.  And Jesus said to them.. `Come and eat`.."

John 21:17,19 - Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

"He saith to him the third time, `Simon, [son] of Jonas, dost thou dearly love me?' ...`Feed my sheep`.. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, `Follow Me`.."
