☀️ A.M. 2 Timothy 4:9-22
9 - Do your best to come here soon. 10 For Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica.
Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. 11 Luke alone is with me. Bring Mark with you, for he’s a good helper for the work. 12 I sent Tychicus to Ephesus. 13 When you come, bring the cloak I left with Carpus at Troas, also the books, and above all the parchments.
14 Alexander the coppersmith did me a great harm, the Lord will render to him according to his deeds. 15 Beware of him yourself, for he strongly opposes our message. 16 At my first defense no one came to stand by me, but all deserted me. May it not be charged against them!
17 But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles (nations, those of the nations) might hear it. And so I was rescued from the lion's mouth. 18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly {heaven-like} kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever! Amen.
19 Greet Priscilla and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus. [In his first letter, 1Tim.1:16, he wrote - “May the Lord show mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains.”] {Priscilla is now mentioned first.}
20 Erastus stayed at Corinth, and I left Trophimus, who was ill, at Miletus. 21 Do your best to come before winter. Eubulus sends you greetings, as do Pudens and Linus and Claudia and all the brothers. 22 The Lord be with your spirit. And grace be with you.
π P.M. Matthew 27:62-66
[There are three Sabbaths, strict no work days, of Spring holy week, the first and last days of the seven days of “unleavened bread” and the regular weekly Sabbath.] 62 - The next day, on the (First Day of Unleavened Bread) Sabbath, the Hebrew leaders, the chief priests and the Pharisees, went before Pilate and 63 said, “Sir, we remember how that impostor said, while he was still alive, ‘After three days I’ll rise.’ 64 Therefore order the tomb to be made secure until the third day! Lest his disciples go and steal him away and tell the people, ‘He is risen from the dead,’ and the last deception will be worse than the first.”
65 Pilate said, “You have a guard of soldiers, go and make it as secure as you can.” 66 So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone, and setting a guard to watch over it.
