Hebrews 6:19-7:3 Luke 3:1-6
☀️ A.M. Hebrews 6:19-7:3
19 - And so, we have all this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, so we are able to enter into that which is within the veil, and enter the inner room of the temple. (God’s Presence/Spirit.) 20 Jesus has gone in ahead of us, as scout and guide on our behalf, having been made high priest ‘forever’ [eis hé aion - to the age] after the priestly order of Melchizedek. {Without beginning or end, aka, always during these ages and advents.}
7:1 - For Melchizedek, king of Salem [shalem - peace, peaceful] priest of the Most High God, met Abraham returning from the slaughter [kopé - cutting, strike, blow, carnage] {😳war] of (the battle of defense against three) kings, and blessed him. {A priest of peace blessed him coming back from a war - of defense.} 2 And to him Abraham tithed a tenth. Melchizedek is, by translation of his name, king of righteousness, and then he is also king of Salem, that is, a king of peace. [Jeru-salem.] 3 He leaves behind no record of father or mother, nor genealogy. And so showing neither beginning of days nor end of days, seems to continue like the Son of God, as a priest forever [diénekés - continually, unceasing, perpetually].
🌙 P.M. Luke 3:1-6
[Luke began his gospel account as - “Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by the original eyewitnesses of them. And having carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too have decided to write an accurate account..]
3:1 - In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod [Antipas, son of Herod the Great] being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene, 2 during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness.
3 John went into all the region around the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance, for the forgiveness of sins [hamartia - missing the mark] {imperfection/entropy}. 4 As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness - Prepare the way of the Lord! Make his paths straight! 5 For every valley will be filled! Every mountain and hill will be made low! The crooked shall become straight! The rough places shall become level, 6 and all [pas - all, every, the whole] will see the salvation of God!” [See - horaó - see, perceive, attend to; properly, to stare at, by implication to discern clearly; perceive with inward spiritual perception, understand.]
