09-10 - James 3 7-12 Luke 10 29-42

Verses paraphrased due to ©‘s [ref] {thots}

(An 8TH ‘DAY’ CU Studies Journal)

            ☀️ A.M. James 3:7-12

7 - Every kind of beast and bird, reptile and sea creature, can be tamed! And has been tamed. 8 But no one can tame the human tongue! {And today the typing finger?} It’s a restless evil. Full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our Lord and Father. And with it we curse people. People who are made in the likeness of God! 10 From the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brethren/brothers and sisters, this ought not to be! 11 Does a spring of water gush forth both fresh, living water, and salt water as well? 12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh (life giving) waters.

            πŸŒ™ P.M. Luke 10:29-42

29 - But the lawyer/scribe, seeking to justify himself, said to Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?” (As in “love thy neighbor”/fellow person.)

     30 Jesus answered him with a parable, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he was fallen upon by a band of thieves. They robbed him, even of his clothing! They beat him and then they left him for dead at the side of the road.

     31 A little later, by chance, a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. 32 And likewise a Levite (administrative public servant) when he came to the place and saw him, he too passed by on the other side.

     33 But then a (looked down upon by ‘polite’ society) Samaritan, as he journeyed, came by, and when he saw him, he was concerned. 34 So he went to him. And he bound up his wounds, cleansing them with oil and wine. Then he set him upon his own animal and brought him to an inn. And there he further cared and provided for him. 35 Then the next day before continuing on his way, he gave the innkeeper two denarii, saying, ‘Take care of him, and if you spend more, I will repay you when I come back.’

     36 Which of these three, do you think, was a neighbor to the man who fell among thieves?”

     37 The scribe said, “The one who showed him mercy.” And Jesus said, “Go and do likewise.”

     38 Now as they walked on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. 39 She had a sister Mary, who was sitting at the Lord's feet listening to his teaching. 40 But Martha was busy with much serving. And she came to Jesus and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving? Tell her to help me.” 41 But the Lord answered, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, 42 but one thing is necessary. And Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be denied her.”

04-06 - Eph-6 Lk-17

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

 • Ephesians 6:19-24  Luke 17:11-19

            ☀️ Ephesians 6:19-24

19 - Pray also for me, that words may be given to me. That they come easily to mind and are readily spoken. So I remain bold to proclaim the mystery of the gospel! 20 The mystery for which I’m an ambassador in chains! That I may declare it boldly, as I ought to.

    21 And so you may know how I am and what I’m doing, Tychicus our beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord will tell you everything. 22 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are, and that he may encourage your hearts.

     23 Peace be to you all, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus. 24 Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with love imperishable.

            πŸŒ™ Luke 17:11-19

11 - As Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem, he passed between Samaria and Galilee, 12 and as he was entering a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance 13 and cried out, “Jesus! Master! Have mercy on us!” {There he is! It’s our chance! We mustn’t miss it!} 14 When he saw them he told them to go and show themselves to the priests, and as they went, they were healed.

     15 Then one of them, a Samaritan, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice. 16 And he fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks. 17 And Jesus said, “Wasn’t it ten who were cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” 19 And he said to the man, “Rise up and go your way, your faith has made you well.” {We’re all foreigners and lepers and we will be very thankful, and fully realize how profoundly and totally blessed we are.}

01-11 - 2 Cor-13 Jn-4

 πŸ—️s New Testament & Bible prophecy study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • 2 Corinthians 13:1-9  John 4:3-26

and Revelation 14:8-13 separately

            ☀️ 2 Corinthians 13:1-9

1 - I’m on my way to visit you for the third time. And as the Scriptures say, “Any charges must be proved true by at least two or three witnesses.” 2 During my second visit I (Paul) gave warning, as also now while absent, and as I will when I come again. {Keeping “the way” genuine/accurate.} 3 It should prove to you that I’m speaking for Christ, for when he corrects he won't be weak. He will be powerful! {We have to follow “the way” or should do something else, follow another way, not mix the other way into what was being built. Prelude to “the” prophesied millennium? Which surprise is followed by one more - outline, week plus one and within it the Spring and Fall holy days - of Leviticus 23 - as prophecy of 1st and 2nd advents. Wheel within a wheel outline. Meaning outline within an outline, lol.}

     4 Yes he was weak when he was nailed to the cross! But he now lives by the power of God. We are weak, just as Christ was.

     But you’ll see that we shall live by the power of God, as Christ does. {πŸ€” Literal, during 2nd advent. In Mt.13:30 “first” is Rev.16:14-15-16, and almost simultaneous, Mt.25:1-13. Siren call to the “first” is division, the wolf’s true face.}

     5 Test yourselves and find out if you really are true to your faith! If you pass the test, you’ll discover that Christ is living in you. But if Christ isn't living in you, you’ll fail. 6 I hope you’ll discover we haven’t failed. 7 So we pray to God that you may not do wrong, not that we may appear to have met the test, but that you may do what is right, even though we may seem to be unapproved. 8 For nothing can beat down truth, but power [dynamai] is for [hypΓ©r - for, above, beyond, more than, on behalf of] it. 9 And we are happy when we are weak and you are strong. Your restoration is what we pray for.

            πŸŒ™ John 4:3-26

3 - When Jesus left Judea and departed again for Galilee, 4 he had to pass through Samaria. 5 And he came to Sychar, near the field that Jacob had given to his son Joseph, 6 where Jacob's well is. And Jesus, weary from his journey, was sitting beside the well, and it was about the sixth hour. [Around noon.] 7 And a woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give [didΓ³mi - give, grant] me a drink.”

     8 His disciples had gone into the town to buy food. 9 The Samaritan woman said to him, “How is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me? A woman of Samaria.” It being that Hebrews have no dealings with Samaritans. {Believed to be half Assyrian, Israel was to stay ‘separate’ from the nations.}

     10 Jesus said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that’s saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would ask him, and he would give you living water.”

     11 The woman said, “Sir! You have nothing to draw water with. And the well is deep. How will you get the living {fresh} water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob? He gave us this well, and drank from it himself. And so did his sons and all his livestock.”

     13 Jesus said, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I give will no longer be thirsty. The water that I give becomes a spring of water welling up into nonfading life.” [“AiαΉ“nios life” -  an adjective, derived from aiαΉ“n - an age, having a particular character and quality of.] 15 The woman said, “Sir, give me this water! So I won’t thirst and have to come here to draw water.”

     16 Jesus said to her, “Go and call your husband, and come back.” 17 The woman answered him, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You’re right in saying, ‘I have no husband’ 18 for you’ve had five husbands, and the one you now have isn’t your husband. You’ve said the truth.” 19 The woman said, “Sir, I perceive that you’re a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you say Jerusalem is the place where people should worship.” {Every pattern has meaning.}

     21 Jesus said, “Believe me woman, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.  22 You worship what you don’t know. We worship what we know, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour’s coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship, must worship in spirit and truth.”

     25 The woman said, “I know Messiah’s coming, who is called Christ, and when he comes, he will tell us all things.” 26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he.”

Today’s GospeL Verses ~ Luke 10:29-42

29 - But the lawyer/scribe, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?” (As in “love thy neighbor”/fellow person.) 30 (Surprise, lol,) Jesus answered with a parable, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he was fallen upon by a band of thieves. They robbed him, even of his clothing, and beat him and left him for dead. 31 Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. 32 And likewise a Levite (government public servant) when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a (looked down upon by ‘polite’ society) Samaritan, as he journeyed, came by, and when he saw him, he was concerned. 34 So he went to him and he bound up his wounds, cleansing them with oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and further took care of him. 35 Then the next day he gave the innkeeper two denarii, saying, ‘Take care of him, and if you spend more, I will repay you when I come back.’

     36 Which of these three, do you think, was a neighbor to the man who fell among robbers?” 37 The scribe said, “The one who showed him mercy.” And Jesus said, “Go and do likewise.”

     38 Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. 39 And she had a sister Mary, who was sitting at the Lord's feet listening to his teaching. 40 But Martha was busy with much serving. And she went to Jesus and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her to help me.” 41 But the Lord answered, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, 42 but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her.” (This is important! Martha learned it also. Yet if we ignore chores they’ll end up as a huge, overwhelming pile waiting for us, lol. I try to do each one when the Spirit moves me. He organizes us, gives us time saving tips! But “the Kingdom first”.πŸ’•)

7 - For every kind of beast and of bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed, and has been tamed by mankind. 8 But no human can tame the human tongue! (And today the typing finger.) It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God.10 From the same mouth (and typing finger) comes blessing and cursing. My brethren/brothers and sisters, this ought not to be! 11 Does a spring pour forth both fresh, living water, and salt water? 12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs?
