☀️ A.M. 1 Thessalonians 4:9-18
9 - Now about brotherly love, you don’t need anyone to write to you, for you your own selves have been taught by God to genuinely love one another. 10 And that’s what you’re doing with all the brothers and sisters throughout Macedonia. And we urge you to love yet more and more.
11 And also to live quietly, minding your own affairs, working with your own hands. As we taught before, 12 so you may walk properly in the world and not be dependent on anyone.
13 And we don’t want you to be uninformed about those who are asleep [koima贸 - to sleep, fall asleep, from keimai - to lie, be laid, be set, appointed] so you won’t grieve {hopelessly} as others do, who haven’t (yet) expectation. {Have not hope/expectation because they have not yet heard the “good news for all”. They have not yet been called to.}
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so will God bring [ag贸 - lead, carry, guide, bring] with [sun - with, together with, in company with] Jesus, those who are asleep in him. [“..the dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive, and remain {are left?} will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.. and I (John) saw those who had been beheaded for their testimony of Jesus and for the word.. and had not worshipped or received the (beast’s) mark on their foreheads or hands. And they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. ..This is the first resurrection” 1Thes.4:16,17; Rev.20:4-5. (Ro.11:15 - “if their (Israel’s) refusal is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance and compliance be but life from the dead?” Soon, 1st resurrection. 15 For we who are alive, who are left until his coming (Dan.12:12?) will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and the sound of the trumpet of God. The dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive until his coming. We shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet him! [The bridegroom at his coming. So where’s the bride? The bride is Jerusalem? Both the betrothed millennial Jerusalem and the bride “New Jerusalem”.] And so.. shall we always be with the Lord. {Where he goes, we go. Zech.14:4? - “On that day, his feet shall stand on Mt of Olives!” ..Isaiah 2:3 - “And, many people, from all nations, shall come, and say: ‘Come! Let us go up to the mountain of the LORD! To the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and we may walk in his paths.’ For out of Zion shall go forth the law” (summed up as “love God, and love your fellow person”) and - out of Jerusalem - shall go forth the word [logos - logic and reasoning] of the LORD.”}
18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

31 - Right then some of the Pharisee party came up, and told Jesus, “You should leave here! Herod wants to kill you!” [Herod Antipas, son of Herod the Great who had the young boys of Bethlehem killed. Herod Antipas executed John the Baptist, though he didn’t want to but was tricked into it by his wife.]
32 And Jesus said, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day {CE and post CE?} I finish” [teleio贸 - to complete, perfect, accomplish, bring to an end; from tel - {to the} end aim].
33 “Nevertheless, I must go on my way today and tomorrow, and the day following, for it cannot be that a prophet should perish away from Jerusalem.” [Herod was a hebrew by birth, but “hellenized” and politically motivated.]
34 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets, and stones those who are sent to her!” {‘Micro’ version, partial scope. Macro, the nations, at history’s culmination.} “How often I would have gathered you to myself {to life, blessing, safety} as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings! But you would not! {Human condition w/o intervention.} 35 Now behold, your house is left desolate.” {God’s Spirit/Presence is a shield, if the shield wanes, logically, the great hatred of the adversary can find entrance.} “And I tell you, you won’t see me again (Jerusalem) until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD!’” [A key to prophecy.]
14:1 - Later, on a Sabbath, he went to dine at the house of a leader of the Pharisees {more political than religious/devoted} and they were watching him closely. 2 There was a man there who had dropsy [hudr贸pikos - “edema, a disease produced by the accumulation of water in various parts of the body; very distressing, and commonly incurable; notice how Luke the (greek) doctor uses the name (hudr贸pikos) of the illness”].
3 Jesus responded to the lawyers and Pharisees {who were testing him} saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath? ..Or not?” 4 But they didn’t answer. So he healed the man and sent him on his way.
5 Then he said to them, “Which one of you, having a son, or even an ox, that falls into a pit on the Sabbath, won’t go and pull him out?” 6 And they couldn’t give him an answer.
