Luke 3:23-4:15
23 Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli — to verse 38 is a genealogy list back to Adam.
4:1 - Jesus returned from the (baptism in the) Jordan full of the Holy Spirit and was led by the Spirit into the desert, 2 where for forty days He was tempted by the devil. (Who lies, through and through.) Jesus ate nothing during those days, and when they had ended, He was hungry. 3 And the devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God! Tell this stone to become a loaf of bread.” 4 But Jesus said, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’”
5 Then the devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6 The devil said, "I will give all this power and glory to you. It has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to.” (Was confiscated, hijacked, stolen by him.. a problem with created beings endowed with thinking and reasoning ability, which naturally includes the power of choice - of which ‘free-will’ is an exaggeration.) 7 “I will give it all to you if you will worship me.” 8 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’” 9 Then the devil took him to Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple, and said, “If you are the Son of God, jump off! 10 For it is written: ‘He will command His angels to guard and protect you, 11 and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ” 12 Jesus answered, “It is written, ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 13 After the devil had finished testing Jesus in every way possible, he left him for another time. 14 Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. 15 He taught regularly in their synagogues and was praised by everyone.

~ Hebrews 7:18-24 ~
18 The old rule (way), then, is set aside, because of its weakness [asthenαΈs - from - A - without, and sthenos - vigor, strength – properly, without vigor, without adequate strength] (Paul wrote, “..through the law comes knowledge of sin” Ro.3:20. And “it was the law that showed me my sin” [hamartia - falling short] Ro.7:7. That’s its purpose. It was not designed to transform - and seal - the transformation) and because of its uselessness [anΓ³phelΓ©s: unprofitableness]. 19 For the law made nothing perfect, and now there is the bringing in of a better hope [elpis - expectation] through which we draw near (π️) to God. 20 This new system was established with a solemn oath. Aaron’s descendants became priests without such an oath. 21 But Jesus became a priest by means of a vow when God said to him, "The Lord has made a solemn promise and will not take it back: 'You are a priest forever.'" [Or literal interlinear - “to the age” - (throughout the ages..? Until “the end” [tel/telos — end-aim] when God has become “all in all”. Jesus is “forever first” and “firstborn son”, “king of kings, and lord of lords” but will the role of intercessory priest be needed?]
22 This makes Jesus the guarantor/guarantee of a better covenant [diathΓ©kΓ© - testament, will, covenant, from - diΓ‘ - thoroughly, which intensifies - tΓthΔmi - place, set – properly, a set-agreement having complete terms determined by the initiating party, which also are fully affirmed by the one entering the agreement].
23 There were many priests under the old system, for death prevented them from remaining in office. 24 But because Jesus lives forever, his priesthood is unchangeable [aparabatos - inviolable, unchangeable] translated forever.
