Luke 7:11-23
11 - Soon afterward Jesus went with his disciples to the village of Nain, and a large crowd followed him. 12 A funeral procession was coming out as he approached the village gate. The young man who had died was a widow’s only son, and a large crowd from the village was with her. 13 When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, “Don’t cry.” 14 Then he walked over to the bier and touched it, and the bearers stopped. “Young man,” he said, “I tell you, get up.” 15 He then sat up and began to speak. Jesus then gave him back to his mother. 16 Great fear swept the crowd, and they praised God, “A great prophet has appeared among us,” they said. “God has come to help his people.” 17 And the news about Jesus spread throughout Judea (as opposed to Galilee) and the surrounding countryside. 18 The disciples of John the Baptist told John about everything Jesus was doing. So John called for two of his disciples, 19 and sent them to the Lord to ask him, “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?”
20 When they came to Jesus, they said, "John the Baptist sent us to ask if you are the one he said was going to come, or should we expect someone else?" 21 At the time Jesus was healing many people of their diseases, afflictions, and evil spirits, and giving sight to many who were blind. 22 Answering he said, "Go and tell John what you have seen and heard, the blind can see, the lame can walk, those who suffer from dreaded skin diseases are made clean, the deaf can hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is preached to the poor. 23 God will bless everyone who doesn't take offense (and doubt?) at what I do."

~ Hebrews 11:17-21 ~
17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 18 even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” 19 He considered that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which, figuratively speaking, he did receive him back. (A test for Abraham and an example to us of receiving back from the dead. Ultimately true of all, a universal/collective example.) 20 It was by faith that Isaac promised blessings for the future to his sons, Jacob and Esau. 21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and he worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.
