Mark 13:28-37

 πŸƒπŸ•Š️10/31 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

       By Necessity Paraphrased

[Jesus continues.] 28 -  “Learn a lesson of the fig tree, as soon as the branches become tender and puts out its leaves, you know soon it is summer. 29 So too, when you see these things I’ve told you taking place, know that your LORD is near, at the very gates. 30 Truly, I tell you, this generation/race [genea] will not pass away until all these things take place. 31 (This) Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

32 But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not the angels in heaven, nor even the Son, but only the Father. 33 So be on guard, and stay attentive. For you do not know when the time is coming. 34 It is like someone going on a journey, when leaving he puts his servants in charge, each with their work, and commands the gate keeper to stay awake. 35 Therefore stay attentive, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming - in the evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or in the morning - 36 lest he come suddenly and find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you I say to aLL. Stay awake and attentive.” (70 CE was a “day of the LORD” upon that nation - an earthly judgment, a ‘smaller scope’ fulfillment. But prophecy is a thing that tel-escopes to the ‘end’. Greek word “tel” which means the “end-aim” — to the full ‘end’. Another telescoping is from the Lord’s so brief first advent, to his full scope version, the long second advent.)
