ACTS 5 1-16

 Universalism in the New Testament

       BooK of Acts of the First Believers

                                  (Paraphrased)

{Lest we cringe, or panic, over this next, we should consider that one’s being gone (hades-not seen, state of being gone, until resurrection) from this present life and age, is not the same from God’s view as ours. It’s more like being transplanted into a not yet tilled garden, awaiting resurrection into “aionion kolasis” / eonian korrection / age of correction. See Fall holy days of Leviticus 23, the Spring ones having been fulfilled perfectly by Jesus’ so brief first advent.}

     1 - But a certain man, Ananias and his wife Sapphira, sold a property, 2 and decided to keep back some of the price, and tell the apostles a false price. 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why did the adversary fill your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit? 4 It was your property, you could do with it as you wished, and after you sold it, the price was yours to do with as you might want. So why did you purpose in your heart to lie, not to us, but to God?” 5 After hearing this, suddenly Ananias fell down dead, and great fear came upon all who heard about it. 6 Some of the younger men came and wrapped him in burial cloths and carried him out.

     7 About three hours later, his wife came in, not knowing what had happened, 8 and Peter asked her if such and such was the price for their piece of land, and she answered it was. 9 Then Peter said, “I can’t believe your husband and you thought to tempt the Spirit of the LORD God.” {Psuedo.. playacting? A sort of sorcery! Like deliberately misleading with words is surely a sort of sorcery.. Used to inspire riots and wars.}

     Peter continued, “Look. those who buried your husband have just returned ..and will carry you out as well.” 10 And sure enough she fell down right then and the men did as they had for Ananias, and buried her by him.

     11 The Jerusalem believers became very sober minded after that! And fear came upon all who heard of it (vs.13). 12 Meanwhile, many healings and wonders were happening through the apostles. And the believers were of one mind, united in purpose, and were meeting in the temple’s porch of Solomon daily. 13 And no one dared join them except the truly believing, though they were respected and regarded as friendly by the people.

     14 Many more, both men and women, were becoming believers. 15 And the people would bring the ailing where they could upon mats and couches, hoping for Peter to come along. For it was said even his shadow would bring healing. 16 People were also coming in from regions and cities outside of Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those harassed by unclean spirits, and all were healed. (I think it will be like this, only greater, after the “second resurrection” during GWT judgment ‘day’ (aion, Jn.7:37; in Mt.25:46 called - “kolasin aionion” / korrection eonian] / an age oF correction, noT ‘eternal/neverending punishment’ which of course defies aLL logic-root word logos - This “his long second advent” idea was here in last year’s lesson, bread from heaven, and has been steadily built and expounded upon since it first came to mind - one way of telling if an idea we think is scriptural is actually accurate or not?)

Hebrews 12 1-2

07/27 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

1 - Therefore, having a cloud of witnesses encompassing us (“literally or figuratively” I think referring to GWT ‘day’ of judgment/review/discernment - since verse 11:40 says said ‘crowd’ “is not perfected - without us” referring to Jesus’ return and beginning of long second advent) let us therefor throw off everything that hinders, and the sin [hamartia - missing the mark] that so easily entangles. And let us run with patience and steadfastness, the race that is marked out for us, 2 keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and then he sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 25:34-46

Parables.. 34 - “Then the King will say to those to the right hand of him, ‘Come, those being blessed by my Father, and inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation [katabolé - laying down] of the world. [Greek is most always in the present tense, as in “being blessed”.] 35 I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me a drink, I was a stranger and you were welcoming to me, 36 I lacked clothing and you gave me clothes, I was sick and you came and visited me, I was in prison and you came to see me.’ 37 Then the righteous (the being blessed) will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and gave you something to eat, or thirsty and we gave you a drink? 38 And when did we see you as a stranger and welcomed you, or you lacked clothing and we gave you clothes? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visited you?’ 40 And the King will answer, ‘Truly, I tell you, as you did it for the least of any, you did it for me.’ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Go from me [poreúomai - go from, from poros -a ford, passage] those being cursed [kataráomai - accursed, doomed] (earthly) into the ‘pertaining to an age [aionios/eonian] fire [pýr] prepared [hetoimazó - made ready, from hétoimos - sure to happen as needed. (Mt.13:30 “gather first the (still) tares.. then gather the wheat” is the fiery 2Thes.1:7,8 and Rev.16:13-16; also notice this, Mt.13:33, key word 3, with 1Cor.15:22-24,28, three harvests, barley, the wheat aNd grape-at the second vivification) (..Will have part in the fire? made ready] for (“for” is assumed) the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you fed me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not make me welcome. I lacked clothing and you did not give me with any clothes. I was sick and in prison and you didn’t come to see me.’44 Then they will say, ‘Lord! When did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and provided you no help?’45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I tell you, as you did not do for one of the least, you did not do it for me.’ 46 And so they shall go into aionion punishment [kolasin - korrection, correction] but the righteous (through the cross of Christ, the being blessed) - into - life unfading.” ((Into “the” millennium, to serve, called reigning, during his long second advent of the thousand years and judgment ‘day’. For to do His works surely(?) is to reign ..crowns of Life, not metal?)) Mt.25:1-13.

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                  ~ Titus 3:1-7 ~

1 - Remind the believers to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey authority and be ready for every good work. 2 To speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, be gentle, and show perfect courtesy toward all. 3 For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, and slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. (Our human condition all too often!) 4 But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of works done by us, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit (/Presence of God) 6 which he poured out upon us - richly - through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by HiS grace we might become - heirs - according to the hope [elpis - expectation] of the unfading life. (God, surely? iS life, and he “is perfect” Mt.5:48, so what is the effect of straying, and lack of perfection?)
