07-01- From Heb-7 Lk-3

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

Hebrews 7:11-12  Luke 3:7-14 and ACTS 4:23-37 separately

             ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 7:11-12

11 - If perfection had been achievable through the Levitical priesthood - for under it the people received the law - what further need would there have been for another priest to arise after the priestly order of Melchizedek, rather than the already established one, named after the priestly order of Aaron? [Moses’ brother.] 12 For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is a change in the law as well. {Jesus said it’s not enough to not murder (for example) but to hate is to commit murder in the heart. The Law is the same, we add to it - “love” as fulfilling it - because “love works no ill”, Ro.13:10, 1Cor.13. Keeping Sabbath is important, now daily as our rest is in Jesus, the new way/covenant, Heb.4.}

            🌙 P.M. Luke 3:7-14

7 - John {the baptist/baptizer, cousin or second cousin to Jesus? Lk.1:36} said to the crowds that came out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?!” {I’ve always thought this was said when the leaders, the Pharisees, etc got there(?) But, it says “to the crowds” .. “The poison of snakes is under our tongues!” Ro.3:13, Ja.3:8}

     8 “Bear fruits in keeping with repentance! And don’t even begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children to Abraham! 9 Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees! Every tree that doesn’t bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire!” {NoT an unfruitful or damaged tree into an ‘everlasting’ afterlife fire.. But think 70 CE.. cause and effect, no shield of God’s Spirit/Presence, add in how much the wolf hates and craves to destroy..}

     10 And the crowds asked him, “What then shall we do?!” 11 And he answered, “Whoever has two tunics, share with the one who has none, and whoever has food, do likewise.” {This is not via mankind government to the point of communism utopia which alas has always been anything but. This is our neighbor, and family, friends, acquaintances. And charitable gifts. Real life, not modern life’s political cubicles? Prone to mostly missing the mark due to bound to occur waste and misuse? Siphoning for political strengthening causes?}

     12 Tax collectors also came to be baptized and said, “Teacher, what shall we do?” 13 And he told them, “Collect no more than you’re supposed to.” 14 Soldiers also asked him, “And we, what shall we do?” He said, “Don’t extort money from anyone by threats or false accusation. And be content with your wages.”

05-11 - 1Pet-2 Jn-13

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

 • 1 Peter 2:9-16  John 13:1-20 and Rev. 21:23-22:2 separately

            ☀️ A.M. 1 Peter 2:9-16

9 - (As believers) you are a chosen {and new} kind [genos - kind, nation, or family, clan, tribe] a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people {the born again from above kind, to be ruled by Love/God’s Spirit/Presence} as his own possession, so you may proclaim the excellencies of he who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous [thaumastos - wonderful, marvelous, astonishing] light. [“Possession” - peripoíēsis, originally meant ‘a making to remain over and above' hence, preservation; preservation for one's self with all round (peri) benefit; acquire, obtain.]

     10 Once you were not people of the LORD, but now you’re His people. Once you hadn’t received mercy, but now you have. {The nations as well as Israel. Prophecy is fulfilled in widening scopes until reaching the “end-aim” - greek word tel, usually translated ‘end’, and root of the word telescope. Or like in widening ripples of a pond.. Until full pond ripple. Do we really expect anything less from God, who “is perfect”? (Mt.5:48) Surely, his end-aim, can’t be anything other than the best one possible. Did we think something went wrong? Something took him by surprise? Lol. He left us a ‘wheel within wheel’ outline. The week plus one millenniums.. (It was biG bang into the universe as is, then was set in motion.) And within that outline, the Spring and Fall holy days of Leviticus 23, as Jesus’ two advents, first so brief one and longer full scope one. Someday I want to write all the details into one book, actually booklet. Meanwhile, every day, some of it in these studies because the New Testament is bursting with it, CU/UR (universal reconciliation.}

     11 Beloved, I (Peter) urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of youth and flesh, which wage war against your soul. 12 Keep your conduct among the world as honorable, so if they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good character and works and glorify God on the day of his visitation. {To each one of them?} [Visitation - episkopḗ - a feminine noun, derived from epí - on, (as in) appropriately fitting, and skopéō - look intently – properly, oversight that naturally goes on to provide the care and attention appropriate to the personal visitation - biblehub dot com.]

     13 Be subject for the Lord's sake to the human institutions, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, 14 or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. 15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence ignorance and foolishness. 16 Live as people who are free, but not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as faithful servants {and friends} of God.

            🌙 P.M. John 13:1-20

1 - Now before the Festival of Passover, when Jesus knew his hour had come to leave the world and go to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. 2 While reclined at supper - the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him - 3 Jesus, knowing the Father had given all into his hands, and that he had come from God, and was going back to God, 4 got up, laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. 5 Then after pouring water into a basin, he began to wash the disciples' feet and wipe them with the towel he had wrapped around him.

     6 When he came to him, Simon Peter said, “Lord, do you wash my feet?” 7 Jesus answered, “What I’m doing you don’t understand now, but later you’ll understand.” 8 Peter said, “Surely you shall not wash my feet!” Jesus said, “If I don’t wash you, you have no share with me.” 9 Simon Peter said, “Lord, not my feet only, but my hands and my head too!” 10 Jesus said, “The one who has bathed doesn’t need to wash, except for their feet, but is completely clean. And you are clean, but not every one of you.” 11 For he knew who was going to betray him. (It was polite to offer guests a basin of water to wash their hot and dusty feet from their journey or walk.) {Did Judas sneer to himself? Messiah should be warrior setting free from occupying Rome!}

     12 When he had washed their feet, put his outer garments back on and sat down, he said to them, “Do you understand what I’ve done? 13 You call me Teacher and Lord, and you’re right, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I’ve given you an example, that you should do just as I have done for you. 16 Truly, I tell you, a servant is not greater than their master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sends them. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

     18 I’m not speaking of all of you. I know whom I’ve chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled, ‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’ 19 I’m telling you this now, before it happens, that when it does happen you’ll believe that I’m he. {The Christ and Messiah, “savior of the world”.} 20 Truly, I tell you, whoever receives the one I send, receives me. And whoever receives me, receives the one who sent me.”

Hebrews 7 25-28

 a paraphrased ‘enter the story’

 🍃🕊️  reading & study  🕊️🍃

07/04 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

25 - And so, it is true {and a sure foundation/expectation}, that he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he is always living for the intercession [entygxánō - en “in” - intensifies tygxánō - to light upon/obtain by making the mark] {he is living now to fully hit the mark} for us. 26 For it’s indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest. One pure and sacred, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens. 27 He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices every day, first for his own sins, and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself. {Being the spotless lamb, not imperfect/entropic, which the Old Testament sacrifices portrayed. Priesthoods to appease, imo, the human psyche and conscience.}

     28 For the law appoints men in their weakness to serve as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son to the age having been perfected. {Everything is prone to corruption? Except the Son, THE straight out from God - one - ever busy in purpose for our perfection, which is consummated at his return.. and at the Rev.21:1-5 event, at close of GWT Judgment and Closure ‘Day’.}

     {I think maybe Apollo wrote Hebrews.}

Hebrews 5 1-4

 a paraphrased ‘enter the story’

 🍃🕊️  reading & study  🕊️🍃

06/23 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

1 - In the earthly priesthood, every high priest from among men is appointed to act on behalf of the people in their relation to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. 2 A priest can deal gently with the unknowing and wayward, since he himself has human weakness [astheneia - weakness, disease, infirmity, sickness, frailty, dependence, infirmity that causes inability to pursue or do what they would like to; from asthenes - “a” not, and sthenes - strength - without strength]. 3 So the {earthly} priest has to offer sacrifice for their own sin [hamartia - missing the mark] just as for those of the people. {Sacrifices for and on behalf of the people. noT for God’s sake - Ps.40:6 - “sacrifice and offering you do not want”.} 4 And no one takes this honor for theirself {of being a priest for the people} but only when called by God, as Moses’ brother Aaron was.

GospeL Verses ~ Luke 4:31-44

31 - Jesus went back to Capernaum in Galilee. He was teaching on the Sabbath, 32 and the people were astonished at his teaching, for his words were with authority. 33 And in the synagogue there was a man who had an unclean spirit, and he cried out with a loud voice, 34 “Ha! What have you to do with us, you Jesus of Nazareth! Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” 35 But Jesus rebuked him, and said, “Be silent and come out of him!” The demon threw him down, then came out of him, doing him no harm. 36 And they were all amazed and said to one another, “What is this? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they obey him!” 37 And reports about him went out into every place in the surrounding countryside.

     38 When he left the synagogue, he went to Simon Peter's house, and he found Simon's mother-in-law was ill with a high fever, and they appealed to him on her behalf. 39 And so he went to her and rebuked the fever, and it left her, and immediately she rose and made them a meal.

     40 The sun was setting, and all those who had any who were sick with various ailments brought them to him, and he laid his hands on each one of them and healed them. 41 And demons came out of many, crying, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Christ.

     42 And when it was morning, he went to a lonely place. And the people looked for him and found him, and they wanted to keep him from leaving, 43 but he said, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well, for this is why I was sent.” 44 And so he went and was preaching in the synagogues of Judea.

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                ~ Hebrews 9:6-10 ~

6 - And the preparations (of the now outdated priesthood) having been made, the priests would go regularly into the first room, and carry out their duties, 7 but into the second section, the most holy room, only the high priest goes, and he only once a year (on Day oF Atonement) and not without taking blood, which he offers for himself and for the unintentional sins of the people. 8 By this the Holy Spirit indicates that the way into the most holy place is not yet opened as long as the first holy place/room is still standing, 9 which is symbolic for the present age. According to this arrangement, gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannot make the person perfect, nor their conscience, 10 but dealt only with food and drink and various washings for the body required until the time of reformation [diorthosis - improvement, amendment, correction].

GospeL Verses ~ John 2:1-12

1 - Three days later there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Jesus also was invited, with his disciples. 3 When the wine ran out, his mother said to him, “They have no wine.” 4 And Jesus said, “Woman, my hour has not yet come.”5 But his mother said to the workers, “Do whatever he tells you to.”

     6 Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of washing, each one holding twenty or thirty gallons. 7 Jesus said to the workers, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them with water up to the brim. 8 And he said, “Go ahead and draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they did, 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that was now wine. He didn’t know where it came from, though the workers knew. The master of the feast called the bridegroom 10 and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the best wine until last!” 11 This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and revealed his glory. And his disciples believed in him.

     12 After this he went down to Capernaum, with his mother and his brothers and his disciples, and they stayed there for a few days.

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                ~ Hebrews 8:1-10 ~

1 - Now the point is this: we have such a high priest, who is seated at the right hand of the majesty in heaven, 2 a minister in the holy place, in the true tent set up by God, not man. 3 For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices, so it’s necessary for this priest also to have something to offer. 4 Now if he were upon earth, he would not be priest at all. For there are already priests who offer gifts according to the law. 5 They serve a copy and shadow of the real thing. For when Moses was about to erect the tent, he was instructed by God - “See that you make everything according to the pattern shown to you on the mountain.” 6 Now Christ, has a priesthood that is much more excellent than the old priesthood. And the covenant/agreement he mediates is superior, since it’s enacted on superior promises. 7 For if the first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no reason to have a newer one. 8 For he reveals fault with them when he says: “Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 9 not like the covenant that I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. And they did not continue in my covenant, and so I loosened my concern for them.” (Shielding fades..) 10 “And this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days” (failure/proof precedes success) - “I will write my laws upon their minds, and upon their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
