04-29 - 1Tim-6 Mt-24

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

 • 1 Timothy 6:1-8  Matthew 24:29-35

            ☀️ 1 Timothy 6:1-8

1 - Let all who owe as bondservants regard the mister (of the loan of land or money) as worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may not be accused. {Today employees.} 2 Those who have believing misters mustn’t be disrespectful on the ground that they’re brothers. They should serve all the better since those who benefit by their good service are believers and beloved. Teach and urge these things, Timothy. 3 If anyone teaches what doesn’t agree with the words of our Lord Jesus and with the teaching that accords with godliness, 4 they are puffed up with conceit and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy craving for controversy and quarrels about words. Which produce envy, division, abusive speaking, evil accusations. 5 A d cause constant friction among those who are admixtured of mind and destitute of the truth, imagining that the way is a means of gain [porismΓ³s - from poros - a way, means (route) that brings gain or profit]. {And anything centered on self somehow?} 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain, 7 for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. 8 But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.

            πŸŒ™ Matthew 24:29-35

(Jesus continues.) 29 - “Immediately after those days of tribulation” {the forty-five days of Daniel? Dn.12:11-12 w/ Lk.19:41,44 and 1Cor.3:16} “the sun will darken, and the moon won’t give its light. The stars will fall and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. {Shaken, in Revelation it adds “the stars ..like figs blown by a strong wind” {Rev.16:14-15-16 -> Is.24:20/Rev.10:4.}

     30 Then, will appear the sign [sΓ©meion - token, something man cannot replicate, miracle, sign, indication] “of the Son of Man in the heavens, and all the tribes of earth will mourn {mortal survivors} when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with great power and glory.

     31 And he will send his angels out with a loud trumpet sounding, and they’ll gather his elect from the four directions, from one end under the heavens to the other. {Mt.25:1-13(10), Zech.14:4}

     32 So consider the lesson from the fig tree. As soon as its branch is tender and puts out its leaves, you know summer’s near. 33 So also, when you see all these things, you know he’s near, at the very door. 34 Truly, I tell you, that generation will not have passed until all these things (the chapter) take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away. But my words will not pass away.”

GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 24:29-35 ~

29 - “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light. The stars will fall, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man, and all the tribes of earth will mourn, when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and in great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with the trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one expanse to the other.

     32 “Learn from the fig tree: as soon as its branch becomes tender and it puts out leaves, you know summer is near. 33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that the Lord is near, at the very gates. 34 Truly, I tell you, this generation [genea - race, family or generation] will not pass away until all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth may pass away, but my words will not pass away.”

    (The tribulation of those days, wars and rumors of.. unrest, wars [polemos - war, battles, strifes] break out, earthquakes, famines, drought? Rev.12:16, false messiahs and prophets - how to know Truth? God’s Spirit/Presence, and the Son speak the “word of God”/the scriptures, the aLmighty sWord the nations will be ruled with, the iron/unbreakable measuring rod (truth).. Being thoroughly proven by life as we presently know it - this unavoidable and all important contrast. Which contrast continues until vivification. The first vivification occurs simultaneous with the Lord’s return beginning his long second advent. Yes? And the second occurs at “the regeneration” (mt.19:28). The greek word being “palin/again-genesis” - at the ReGenesis of Rev.21:25 and 2Pet.3:12-13.) [Mt.13:33, key word 3, with 1Cor.15:22-24,28.]

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                  ~ 1 Timothy 6:1-8 ~

1 - Tell all who are under a yoke as bondservants to regard it as worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may not be slandered. (Bondservice was a work system of borrowing money or land.) 2 Those who are working for believers must not be disrespectful because they are brothers. But rather they should serve all the better since those who benefit by their good service are believers and are beloved.

     Teach and urge all these things Timothy. 3 If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus and the teaching that accords with godliness, 4 they are puffed up with self importance and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words. But it only produces envy, disagreements, slander, and suspicion. 5 There is constant friction in and among those who are corrupted in mind and lack truth, or who imagine godliness is a means of profit.

     6 But godliness, with contentment, is great gain. 7 We brought nothing into this world, and we shall not take anything out of it. (But our relationships. And learning? Will some of us be students during “the” millennium? Very good students!) 8 So if we have food and raiment, with these we should be content.
