☀️ 25 - Eat whatever’s sold in the meat market without asking questions of conscience concerning it. 26 For “the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof.” {Did some “covering angels” of and over animals, join the “covering angel over Eden”, when he went rogue? - Which of course Creator God knew he was about to go rogue when he assigned him to Eden. -  And this made some animals become predator? And if man had not become carnivore, humanity would have become prey? ..See how “all of heaven and earth are traversing this unavoidable, all important contrast, all together at once. Angelos and anthropos.}

     27 If an unbeliever invites you to dinner and you accept, eat whatever’s set before you without asking any questions. 28 But if someone says to you, “This has been offered in sacrifice,” then don’t eat it, for the sake of the one who pointed it out. 29 I’m not talking about your conscience, but theirs. For why should my liberty be determined by someone else's conscience? {Hello? Divisive carnal influencers.}

     30 If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced (judged) for that which I give thanks?

     31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do {including weekly Sabbath or everyday Sabbath} do all for the glory of God. 32 Give no offense to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God, 33 just as I try to please everyone in the things I do, not seeking my own satisfaction, but that of others, that many may be delivered. {That many might come to the Truth, not stalled over secondary issues of individual conscience. Delivered to friendship to and lordship of Jesus, and to Father’s program. What is God doing? How is he doing it, and most importantly why.. No option to stray in Eden, would be creation as an Ant Farm? So this imperfection/entropy, slow gehenna, one and done?}

Part of human condition.} 25 Knowing it, Jesus said, “The kings of the nations rule and those in authority are called great, and benefactor. {And what they give they can take away?} 26 But it’s not to be so with you. Rather, the greatest among you, should be as the youngest. And the leader as one who serves. 27 For who is greater? (In the world.) One who reclines at table, or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at table? But here I am with you, as the one who serves.

     28 You are those who’ve been with me during my trials, 29 and I delegate to you, as my Father delegated to me, a kingdom. 30 That you may eat and drink at my table - in my kingdom - and you disciples sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” {Like the Hebrew judges of old?}

     31 “Simon Peter, Satan has wanted to break through upon you.. It will sift you like wheat” {beating the chaff/husk off the kernel of wheat}. 32 I’ve prayed for you that your faith not fail you. And when you’ve recovered, strengthen your brothers.”

     33 Peter said, “Lord, I’m ready to go with you both to prison and to death!”

     34 Jesus said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster won’t crow in the morning until you’ve denied knowing me three times.”

     35 Then to all of them, he said, “When I sent you out with no bag, moneybag or extra sandals, did you lack anything?”

     “No,” they said. 36 “But now” Jesus said, “let the one who has a bag take it, and likewise a moneybag. And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one. 37 For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled, ‘And he was numbered with criminals.’ For what’s written is always fulfilled.”

     38 And they said, “Look! Here are two swords.” And he said, “It’s enough.” {Mood, atmosphere.. they were going out into danger.. That night, and the disciples later as well.}

☀️ 14 - Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. 15 I speak as to sensible people. Judge for yourselves what I say. 16 The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? {They did it literally during meal time/breaking of bread, but it’s also meant for us as a spiritual formula? For truest spiritual success, our daily bread, the written logos to us, dipped liberally into the new wine of God’s Spirit/Presence.. Especially in these days of high information technology, it’s better to be “mind-washed” by GOD’s message - logos means “reasoning expressed in words” so God’s reasoning - than by the world’s reasoning and voice. We can easily get past the human translator errors in the message, which has more or less hijacked the message! And, like we dump the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle out on the table, and we then separate the pieces which are the border.. and then the color matching parts.. We need to know the bible, to see the pieces and where they fit.}

     17 There is the one bread (Christ) and we who are many are one body. For we all partake of the one bread. 18 Consider the people of Israel, were not those who ate the sacrifices, participants in the altar? 19 What do I imply then? That food offered to idols of the nations is anything? Or that an idol is anything? 20 No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. Surely you shouldn’t be participants with demons. 21 You cannot drink the cup of the LORD and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the LORD and the table of demons. 22 Shall we provoke the LORD to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

     23 “Such things are lawful” {like eating meat from the market place that has been offered to an idol of the world} but not all things are helpful. “Such things are lawful,” but not all things build up. 24 Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor. {Don’t argue about days and foods?! ..Paul was saying if eating food sacrificed to an idol will offend your brother or sister, consider that, instead of what our own wishes might be.}

     19 Jesus knew they wanted to ask, so he said, “Are you wondering, what I mean, ‘A little while and you won’t see me. And again a little while and you’ll see me’?

    20 Truly, I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice.      25 “I’ve said these things to you in figures of speech. But the hour’s coming when I’ll no longer speak to you in parables and illustrations but will tell you plainly about the Father. 26 In that day you’ll ask in my name, and I don’t say I’ll ask the Father on your behalf. 27 For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and believe that I came from Him. 28 I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I’m leaving the world and going (back) to the Father.”

     29 The disciples said, “Now you’re speaking plainly! And not using parables and proverbs. 30 Now we know that you know all things and don’t need anyone to question you. And this is why we know you came from God.”

     31 Jesus answered, “Do you now believe? 32 Behold, the hour’s coming, indeed has come, when you’ll be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I won’t be alone, for the Father’s with me. 33 I’ve said these things to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you’re bound to have tribulation. But take heart! I’ve overcome the world.”

     I didn’t tell you these things before, because I was with you. 5 But now I’m going to the one who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 But because I’ve said these things, sorrow has filled your hearts. 7 Nevertheless, I tell you truly, it’s to your advantage that I go away, for if I don’t, the Helper won’t come.      {Chapter 12 is the second of three tellings of the revelation vision, but may apply otherwise as well?}

     1 - A great sign appeared in heaven! A woman who was clothed with the sun and the moon was under her feet. Upon her head was a crown of twelve stars. 2 She was with child and was crying out because of her birth pains and the torment of giving birth.

     3 And then another sign appeared in heaven - behold! A great red dragon. This dragon had seven heads and ten horns. And on the heads were seven royal crowns. [“The ‘god’ of this world” 2Cor.4:4 (who ends up being seven “changing” versions of false “light”/entities/‘world’ empires, throughout Earth’s ages.] 4 His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth. {Obviously, this is one third of the angels, as surely(?) some angels followed the cherubim which plotted his revolt using Eden - “you were a covering angel [kerub - probably an order of angelic beings, cherub, cherubim — “Yahweh Sabaoth throned on the cherubim” 1Sam.4:4, referring to the Ark of the Covenant. A symbol. Cherubim - a high angel devised in his heart to “ascend above God”. And from being a high angelic being, became a dragon.}

     And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth so that when she bore her child he might devour [kill] it. 5 She gave birth to a manchild, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron {with Truth, a measuring rod that cannot be broken}. But instead he was caught up to God and to his throne. 6 And the woman {after that, and at the razing of Jerusalem in 70 CE} fled into the wilderness, where she {the faith} had a place prepared by God, in which she was to be fed [trephó - made to grow, nourished] for 1,260 ‘days’.

🌙 (Jesus continues on the eve of his crucifixion) 1 - “I am the vine, and my Father is the vinedresser” [geórgos - from γῆ - gē, meaning earth or land, and ἔργον - ergon, meaning work or task — (vinedresser) someone who works the land, worker of the soil to plant, harvest, nurture and protect].

     2 “A branch of the vine that doesn’t bear fruit he takes away {from the plant/vine}. And a branch that does bear fruit he prunes. This is so it will bear more fruit.

     3 Already you’ve been pruned” [katharos - cleansed, purified, clear, free of contamination, english - catharsis, released] “because of the message I’ve spoken to you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. The branch can’t bear fruit by itself. But only if it abides upon and with the vine.

     And neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I’m the vine. You’re the branches. Abide in me, and I in you, and you will bear much fruit. Apart from me, you can do nothing.” {Being apart from him is futile?}

     6 “If anyone doesn’t abide in me, they’ll be a like a branch that’s fallen to the ground. Such branches dry up and wither, and then they are gathered, and thrown into the fire”. {Not a forever pit called ‘hell’. Root word of logic, is logos. So with the parable of the wheat and tares, and the context and timing}

     7 IF you abide in me, and my words abide in you, whatever you ask, will be done. 8 By this my Father will be glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. 10 If you keep my words and instructions, you’ll abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's words and instructions and abide in his love. 11 These things I’ve spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that it may be full.

     12 “This is my instruction [entolé - command, order, instruction] that you love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I tell you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn’t know what their master is doing. But I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You didn’t choose me. I chose you and I have appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should endure, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. 17 These things I tell you, so that you will love one another.

      ☀️ 12 - If others share this rightful claim upon you, do we not, even more so? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right, but we endure anything rather than put an obstacle in the way of the good news of Christ.

     13 Do you know, those who are employed in the temple service get their food from the temple? And those who serve at the altar share in the sacrificial offerings upon it? 14 In the same way, the Lord instructed that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel (Matthew 10:10; Luke 10:8; compare Galatians 6:6).

      15 But I’ve made no use of this, nor am I writing these things to obligate any such provision. For I would rather die than have anyone deprive me of my grounds for boasting! 16 For if I preach the gospel - that gives me no ground for boasting! For compulsion is laid heavily upon me. Woe to me!      15 If you love me, you’ll keep my instructions. 16 And I’ll ask the Father, and he’ll give you another helper, this one to be with you to the age, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world is unable to receive, because it doesn’t see him or know him.      18 I’m not leaving you as orphans, but I’ll come to you. 19 Yet a little while and the world will no longer see me, but you’ll see me. And because I live, you’ll live also. 20 In that day you’ll know I’m in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 Whoever has my instructions and keeps them, it is they who love me. And they who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and make myself known to them.”

     {Best way to know Jesus and the Father - is to follow Jesus’ instructions? “Love God.” One rule, because when genuine, the second is also!}

☀️ 1 - Am I not free? Am I (Paul) not an apostle? Haven’t I seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my evidence in the Lord? 2 If to others I’m not an apostle, at least I am to you, for you are the fruit and proof of my apostleship in the Lord. 3 This is my defense to those who would test me. 4 Do we too have the right to eat and drink? 5 Do we have the right to take along a believing wife, as do the other apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Peter? 6 Or is it only Barnabas and I who are criticized and haven’t the right to not toil for a living? 7 Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard without eating any of its fruit? Or who tends a flock without getting some of the milk?

     8 Do I say these things on human authority? Does not the Law say the same? 9 For it’s written in the Law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain.” Is it only for oxen that God is concerned? 10 Does he not certainly speak for our sake? It was written for our sake, because the plowman should plow in hope. And the thresher should thresh in hope of sharing in the crop. 11 If we have sown spiritual things among you, is it a great thing if we reap earthly things among you? (Verse 4.)

🌙 (Jesus continues..) 1 - “Don’t be sad and troubled.” {He’s going away. His words are radiant and full of life. People are awesome, and he is the most awesome. He’s going away on a far journey, 

and has not told them when he will get back.}

     “You believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house” {will be the “kosmos”/creation, Rev.21:1-5} “there are many abiding places.” [Monḗ - dwellings, abiding places, mansions; from ménō - to remain, abide, an abiding-dwelling-place (not transitory) is only used twice in the NT, both times by Jesus.]

     “If it wasn’t so, would I tell you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. {I go to be crucified.. that you may be where I am. Abiding in God’s perfect kingdom.} 4 And you know the way to where I’m going.”    5 Thomas said, “Lord, we don’t know where you’re going, so how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said, “Thomas, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to {union/friendship with} the Father except through me. 7 And if you know me, you know my Father. From now on you do know him and you have seen [eidó - saw, perceived, have known, aware of] him.”

     8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and it’ll be enough for us!” 9 Jesus said, “Have I been with you all this time, and you still don’t know [ginóskó - to know, come to know, perceive, recognize] me, Philip?” {Only straight out from God one.. so close both administer God’s Spirit/Presence. Same as will saturate and “seal” humanity and creation.} “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not know that I’m in the Father, and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I don’t speak on my own, but the Father who dwells in me is doing - his works. 11 Believe me that I’m in the Father and the Father is in me. Or else believe because of the works you saw me do.”

☀️ 9 - But take care that this right of yours doesn’t somehow become a stumbling block to someone else. 10 For if anyone sees you eating in an idol's temple, will they not be encouraged, even if their conscience is weak concerning it, to eat food offered to idols? 11 And so by your freedom (because you know there are no other ‘gods’) this other one is harmed, the brother or sister for whom Christ died. 12 Thereby, trespassing against one another, wounding their conscience when it’s weak, is also against Christ. 13 Therefore, if food makes my brother or sister stumble, I won’t eat meat lest I cause them to stumble. {Or drink wine.. 🌙 1 - It was before the Feast of Passover and Jesus knew the hour had come to leave the world, and go {back} to the Father. Having loved his disciples and followers, he loved them to the end. 2 Now during supper, the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot to betray him. 3 But Jesus, knowing the Father had put all in his hands, and that he had come from God, and was returning to God, 4 rose from supper, laid aside his outer clothing, and took a towel and tied it around his waist. 5 Then he poured some water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel. (It was a courtesy to provide water for guests to wash their dusty and overheated feet, travel for most being by foot.)

     6 When he came to Simon Peter, Peter said, “Lord, do you wash my feet?!” 7 Jesus answered, “You don’t understand, now what I’m doing, but you will later.” 8 Peter said, “Lord! You cannot wash my feet!” But Jesus said, “If I don’t do this, you will have no share with me in this work.” 9 So Peter said, “Not just my feet! But my hands and head too!”

     10 Jesus said, “Someone who has already bathed, needs only to wash their feet. And all of you are clean but one.” 11 For he knew who was going to betray him. That was why he said, “All but one.” [I read in a commentary - Ellicott’s - which said Judas didn’t spiritually wash his feet from the world’s influences daily, and thus his falling to temptation.] {He loved money. He didn’t know they wanted Jesus to be executed.}

     12 When Jesus was done, he put his outer clothing back on, sat back down at the table, and said, “Do you know why I did that? 13 You call me Teacher and Lord, and so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I’ve given you an example, that you should do just as I’ve done. {Watch out for one another! Be humble and helpful.}

     16 Truly, I tell you, a servant isn’t greater than his master. Nor is a messenger greater than the one who sends the message. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. 18 I’m not speaking of all of you. I know who I’ve chosen. But the Scripture says, ‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me’ and it shall be fulfilled. 19 I’m telling you this now, before it happens, so when it does happen you’ll believe that I’m he. 20 Truly, I tell you, whoever receives the one I send, receives me. And whoever receives me, receives the Father who sent me.”

And didn’t he come here to arrest and drag more believers in chains before the chief priests?” 22 But Saul increased all the more in strength, and was confounding the Synagogue leaders who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus was the Christ.

     23 Then, after many days, they plotted to kill him! 24 But their plot became known to him. They were watching the gates day and night, 25 so some disciples led him out by night and lowered him in a basket, through an opening in the city wall.

     26 Then when Saul (Paul) came to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples there. But they were afraid of him, and didn’t believe he was a disciple. 27 But Barnabas befriended him and brought him to the apostles. Then he explained to them how on the road he had seen the Lord. How he had spoken to him, and how at Damascus he had preached boldly the name of Jesus. 28 After that Saul went in and out among them at Jerusalem, preaching boldly in the name of the Lord.

     29 He would also speak with and dispute with the Hellenists (Greek culture Hebrews). But they were seeking to kill him. 30 And when the brothers learned this, they brought him down to Caesarea and sent him to Tarsus.

     31 So the church {brotherhood and sisterhood} throughout all Judea, Galilee and Samaria had peace and the faith was growing. And walking in the reverence of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit {Presence of God} the faith was multiplying.

     32 Meanwhile, Peter too was going in and out among them all. And then he went also down to Lydda and the believers who lived there. 33 While there he came across a man named Aeneas, who had been paralyzed and bedridden for eight long years. 34 And Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you! Rise up and pick up your bed!” And immediately he did. 35 And all the residents of Lydda and Sharon saw him as healed, and they turned to the Lord.

     36 Now in Joppa, there was a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated is Dorcas. She had done many acts of charity and good works. 37 But in those days she had become ill and died. They had prepared her, and laid her in an upper room.

     38 Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him, urging him, “Please come to us without waiting.” 39 So Peter went with them and when he was there, they took him to the upper room. All the widows were standing there weeping and showing tunics and other garments that Dorcas had made while she was with them. 40 But Peter put them all out, and then he knelt down and prayed. And turning to her he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes. When she saw Peter she sat up, 41 and he took her by the hand and helped her to stand up. ☀️ 1 - Now concerning food offered to idols, we know we all possess “knowledge.” This “knowledge” can puff up. {Become an idol? Or our own ideas become our lord?} But love is what builds up. 2 If anyone imagines they know something, they don’t yet know as they ought to know! {Our knowledge and knowing, is SO incomplete, lol.} 3 But if someone loves God, they can know, that they are known by God. {THE knowing/gnosis.}

     4 Therefore, as to this eating of food offered to idols, we know an idol is nothing. That there is no God but one. 5 For although there may be many supposed ‘gods’ in the heavens and upon earth, many ‘gods’ and lords, 6 yet to us there is but one God. The Father, of whom is the all, and we for him. And one Lord, Jesus Christ, by and through whom are all, and we for him.

     7 However, not all know this. But some, through former observances and rituals with idols, eat food as actually offered to another ‘god’, and their conscience is harmed. 8 But food will not commend us to God. Whether we eat or we don’t eat, we’re no better off, nor are we worse off.
