12-22 - 2 Corinthians 3 12-18

πŸ—️’s to riddles, N.T. in a yr study, verses paraphrased Logic [ ] references { } thots

☀️ 12 - Because the hope [elpis - expectation, trust, confidence] we have, is so great, it causes us to be very bold! 13 Not like Moses, who put a veil over his face when the Israelites couldn’t gaze at the radiance, of what was (after all) {a} temporary {testament}. 14 But their minds were hardened [pΓ³roΓ³ - rendered insensitive, callous, petrified, hardened, stony]. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains not lifted, because it’s in Christ that it’s removed. 15 Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over the hearts. {Heart/mind.} 16 But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 For wherever the Spirit of the LORD is, there is freedom and liberty. {Set free to see Truth, and “truth sets free”.} 18 And we, as we look upon him, his radiance, we are being transformed into his same image, from glory to glory {and radiance to radiance} [psalm 84:7, "they go from strength to strength”] by the Spirit of the LORD.

11-12 - 1 Corinthians 8 9-13

 N.T. IN A YEAR READING & STUDY [ ]REFERENCES { }THOTS, VERSES R PARAPHRASED

☀️ 9 - But take care that this right of yours doesn’t somehow become a stumbling block to someone else. 10 For if anyone sees you eating in an idol's temple, will they not be encouraged, even if their conscience is weak concerning it, to eat food offered to idols? 11 And so by your freedom (because you know there are no other ‘gods’) this other one is harmed, the brother or sister for whom Christ died. 12 Thereby, trespassing against one another, wounding their conscience when it’s weak, is also against Christ. 13 Therefore, if food makes my brother or sister stumble, I won’t eat meat lest I cause them to stumble. {Or drink wine.. Eat pork.. “Hast thou faith? Have it alone before God” Ro.14:22.}

10-15 - Galatians 5 9-15

scriptures paraphrased to post

   πŸ•Š️a reading & study πŸ•Š️

9 - A little leaven (in this case, untruth) leavens the whole lump! 10 I have confidence in the Lord that you will take no other view, and the one who is troubling you will bear the consequences, whoever it is. {What a loNg battle trying to keep the truth pure, unleavened, unchanged.. and what a battle. Untruth and make that plural, covers the world like a wet, heavy quilt set low in the atmosphere. Piercing through is like whistling into howling winds?}

     11 But if I were still preaching circumcision/the Law, why am I being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been removed. 12 I wish whoever is unsettling you would go all the way and emasculate theirselves!

     13 For you were called to freedom. But don’t use your freedom as an opportunity for the selfish nature and transgression, but through love, to serve one another. 14 The whole and entire law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall LOVE” your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, watch out! That you are not consumed by one another! {Bound to happen if the world’s politics comes BETWEEN believers.. the suspicion, accusations, labeling.. And it’s not that we must be viewpoint clones in order for peace, unity, and LOVE to be preserved. To be lockstep would be cultish. We need to always be examining our own heart and fruits. Yes? Otherwise we may deceive ourselves?}

1 Corinthians 7:8-23

 11/08 ~ From New Testament Letters

   πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

        By Necessity Paraphrased

8 - To the unmarried and the widows I think it is good for them to remain single, as I am. 9 But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

     10 To the married I (Paul) give this charge, not I, but the Lord, the wife should not separate from her husband 11 but if she does, she should remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband, and the husband should not divorce his wife.

     12 To the rest I say (I, not the Lord) that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he should not divorce her. 13 If any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he is happy to live with her, she should not divorce him.14 For the unbelieving husband will become holy because of his wife, and the unbelieving wife becomep holy because of her husband. Otherwise your children would be unduly influenced, but as it is, they become holy as well. 15 But if the unbelieving partner separates, let it be so. In such cases the brother or sister is not bound. God has called you to peace. 16 For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?

     17 Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to them, and to which God has called them. This is my rule in all the churches. 18 Was anyone at the time of his call already circumcised? Let him not seek to remove the marks of circumcision. Was anyone at the time of his call uncircumcised? Let him not seek circumcision. 19 For neither (the physical) circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but keeping the instructions of God. 20 Each one should remain in the condition in which they were called. 21 Were you a bondservant when called? Do not be concerned about it. (But if you can gain your freedom, avail yourself of the opportunity.) [It was a moneylending system.] 22 For the one who was called in the Lord as a bondservant is free in the Lord. Likewise the one who was free when called is a bondservant of Christ. 23 You were bought with a price; it is better not to become bondservants of men.

Today’s GospeL Verses ~ Luke 20:20-26

20 - The leaders watched Jesus. They sent spies, pretending to be sincere, so they might catch him in something he said, and could deliver him up to the authority and jurisdiction of the Roman governor. 21 So they asked him, “Teacher, we know that you speak and teach rightly, and show no partiality, but teach the true way of God. 22 Is it lawful for us to pay tribute/taxes to Caesar, or not?” [To deny Caesar was punishable by death.] 23 But he knew their trickery. 24 “Show me a denarius,” he said. “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” They said, “Caesar's.” 25 He said, “Then render to Caesar that which is Caesar's, and to God that which is God's.” 26 They were not able to catch him in his words. Marveling at his answer they became silent.
