05-14 - 1Pet-3 Jn-14

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

 • 1 Peter 3:7-14  John 14:12-21

            ☀️ A.M. 1 Peter 3:7-14

7 - ..And husbands, live with your wives, not forgetting {or taking advantage because} she is physically weaker. Keep in mind that she is a joint heir with you to the grace of life, lest your prayers be hindered.

     8 Finally, all of you, hold onto unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, tender hearts, and humble spirits. 9 Don’t repay abuse for abuse nor insult for insult. But on the contrary! Bless. For to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.

     10 For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let them keep their tongue from evil and their lips from speaking guile! 11 Let them turn away from evil and do good. Let them seek peace - and pursue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the countenance of the Lord is against those who DO evil.” {..If we don’t seek peace, we do evil?}

     13 Now who is there to harm you if you’re zealous for what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them. Nor be troubled.

            🌙 P.M. John 14:12-21

Jesus, to his disciples, 12 - “Truly, I tell you, whoever believes in me will also do the works I do. And greater works than these they’ll do, because I’m going to the Father.” {Greater works, further reach, and don’t forget how wide a reach during his long second advent.}

     13 “Whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so - the Father may be glorified - in the Son. 14 If you ask me anything in my name [onomo - name, reputation, cause] I will do it.

     15 If you love me, you’ll keep my commandments/instructions/sayings. 16 And I’ll ask the Father, and he’ll give you another help [paráklētos - from pará - from close-beside, and kaléō - make the call, properly, a legal advocate who makes the right judgment-call because close enough to the situation, someone giving evidence that stands up in court] to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit {Presence (with us)} of Truth {the Father, who is Life}, whom the world can’t receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. {Father and Son are so close both administer God’s Spirit/Presence, same as will saturate and “seal” all creation and humanity.}

     18 “I won’t leave you as orphans, but will come to you.” {At the end of that age, at the coming Pentecost, and later, as fully present at the culmination of history, this unavoidable, all important contrast, a slow gehenna crucible, entropy/imperfection.}

     19 “Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you’ll see me. Because I live, you’ll live also. 20 In that day you’ll know that I’m in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 Whoever has my commandments, and keeps them, are those who love me. And those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and I will {continue to} make myself known to them.”

05-08 - 1Pet-1 Jn-12

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

 • 1Peter 1:8-12  John 12:37-50 and, separately, a quick summary of Paul’s travels. The new annual study through Acts begins 3rd week in May (around Pentecost).

            ☀️ A.M. 1Peter 1:8-12

8 - Though you’ve never seen him, you love him. Though you don’t see him, you believe [pisteúō - from pístis and peíthō - (are) persuaded, faith, trust, believe] in him, and rejoice with a joy inexpressible and filled with glory! 9 This is the fruit and result of your faith [pisteúō] the salvation of your soul.

     10 And concerning this salvation, the prophets of long ago, prophesied about the grace that is now yours! For which they diligently searched, 11 looking for what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating, when he predicted his sufferings and the subsequent glory. 12 It was revealed to them that they were prophesying not about their own time, but were prophesying things that have now happened to you, which happened because the good news was told to you by those who proclaimed it by the Holy Spirit {God’s Spirit/Presence} having been sent from heaven. Things into which angels long to look into.

            🌙 P.M. John 12:37-50

37 - Though Jesus had done so many signs before the people, they still didn’t believe [pisteuó - believe, have faith, trust, be persuaded].

     38 So the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah was fulfilled - “LORD, who has believed his report? And to whom was the arm of the LORD revealed?” 39 They couldn’t believe. For Isaiah had said (prophesied), 40 “HE has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.” 41 Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and spoke of him.

     42 Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees they didn’t admit it, fearing they would be put out of {polite society} the synagogue, 43 for they esteemed the glory {and opinion} of man {and society of the day} more than the {opinion of and} glory that comes from God. {The real and final standard.}

     44 {John had heard him when} Jesus had cried out proclaiming, “Whoever believes in me! Believes not in me but in he who sent me!”

     {The Son, being the only straight out from God one, so close both administer God’s Spirit/Presence, same as will saturate thus “seal” humanity and creation.}

     45 “And whoever sees me, sees he who sent me. 46 For I came into the world as light - so whoever believes in me will not have to remain in darkness” {not understanding and knowing}. 47 “If anyone hears my words and doesn’t keep them, I don’t judge them. For I didn’t come {and wasn’t sent} to judge the world, but to save the world.

     48 Whoever rejects me, and doesn’t receive my words has a judge. The word [truth, logos - “reasoning”/logic] that I have spoken will judge them in/during the last ‘day’. 49 For I have not been speaking on my own authority. The Father who sent me, has himself given me the words I say and speak. 50 And I know that his instruction is enduring [aionion] Life. So what I have said, is what the Father has told me to say.

     {In the last day” - IN, is en, a preposition – meaning, properly - in, inside of, within, figuratively - in the realm/sphere of. Translated - “during” - seven times. During the last day, it being the “8th” ‘day’ which follows what’s called “the” millennial, a Sabbath rest from enmity and the adversary.

    A main outline, the week plus one.. beginning from the biG bang into the universe that is, theN was set in motion.. no option to stray in Eden would be humanity as an ant farm, so things run their course for six millennial days, then a Sabbath millennium,  followed by an “8th day”. Otherwise when does the fieRy defeat of the adversary occur? AfteR gathering descendants of mortal survivors of the apocalypse to war once again. And, then the GWT judgment (the total discernment plus full closure for all) ‘day’ — veiled by Rev.20 being as though describing the crests of waves and not much of the in between. ..Father loves a good riddle? An outline within the first outline of - the week plus one - is the holy days of Lev.23, Spring and Fall, prophesying 1st and 2nd advents. Surely!?}

ACTS 15 1-21

 Luke wrote “of the things fulfilled among us” paraphrased [ ] ref { } thots

     Book of the Acts of the First Believers

1 - Some men came down from Judea and were teaching “Unless you’re circumcised according to the custom and law of Moses, you cannot be a follower and disciple” {of Jesus, which is the “new and living way” Heb.10:20}.

     2 After Paul and Barnabas had spent some time arguing with, and trying to convince them, Paul and Barnabas and some others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and the elders to consult with them about the matter.

     3 And being sent on their way by their fellow believers, they passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, and were describing in detail the conversion of Gentiles (non Hebrews) which was bringing great joy to all the believers who heard it.

     4 When they arrived at Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the believers, and the apostles and elders. And they told them all that God had been doing during their travels among Gentile cities. 5 But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, “It’s necessary for all non Hebrew believers to be circumcised, and ordered to keep all the law of Moses!”

    6 So the apostles and elders gathered together to discuss the matter. 7 And after there had been much discussion, Peter stood up and said, “Brothers, you know that in the early days God had me preach to the Gentiles, so they would hear the word of the gospel [euaggelion - good news, good message] and believe. 8 And God, who knows the heart, bore testimony by giving them his Holy Spirit (his Presence) just as he did to us! 9 He made no distinction between us and them, having cleansed their hearts by faith.” [Israel had always been required to stay separate from other nations. In order to be swaddling cloths for Messiah, the “Savior of the world”.]

     10 “So now, why should we put God to the test by putting a yoke upon the neck of disciples? A yoke neither our fathers nor we have been able to carry! 11 And we know we are saved {and enabled} through the grace of the Lord Jesus. And now we know, just as they too, are.”

     12 And all the assembly fell silent, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they told about the signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles. 13 And after they finished speaking, James said, “Brothers, listen to me. 14 Simeon Peter also has related how God has visited the Gentiles, to take from them a people for his name. 15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it’s written - 16 ‘After this I will return, and I will rebuild the tabernacle/tent of David that has fallen. I will rebuild its ruins, and restore it, 17 that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles upon whom my name has been called” (Amos 9:11-12) 18 who makes these things known from of old. 19 Therefore my judgment is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles (other nations) who turn to God, 20 but should write to them to abstain from the pollution of idols, and sexual immorality. And to abstain from what has been strangled and from blood. 21 For from ancient times, Moses, is still read in all the synagogues on every Sabbath.” [The Christian disciple’s law is love, as “love works no ill”. It’s summarized as love God and love your fellow person.]  {And surely, the first will just naturally cause the second!? So in all simplicity our one rule is - Love God - “in spirit and truth”.}

11- 27 - 1 Corinthians 12 8-13

 N.T. in a year reading & study, verses R paraphrased [  ] references {  } thots

☀️ 8 - To one person is given, through the Spirit, the speaking of wisdom, to another the speaking of knowledge, 9 or great faith, or the gift of healing, 10 the working of miracles, prophecy, the ability to discern between spirits, various kinds of tongues/languages, or the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are gifts empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.

     12 For just as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, Jew and Greek, bond slave and free, and all were made to drink of the one Spirit. {God’s Spirit.}

11-17 - John 16 1-16

 N.T. IN A YEAR READING & STUDY [ ]REFERENCES { }THOTS, VERSES R PARAPHRASED

🌙 1 - “I (Jesus) have told you all these things to keep you from falling away. 2 They’ll put you out of the meeting places. Indeed, the hour’s coming when whoever kills you will think they’re doing God a favor. 3 And they’ll do these things because they haven’t known the Father. Nor me. 4 But I’ve told you, so when the hour comes, you’ll remember that I told you.

     I didn’t tell you these things before, because I was with you. 5 But now I’m going to the one who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 But because I’ve said these things, sorrow has filled your hearts. 7 Nevertheless, I tell you truly, it’s to your advantage that I go away, for if I don’t, the Helper won’t come. But if I go, I’ll send him to you. [“Helper” - paraklétos - properly one called near to give help.] 8 And when he comes {God’s Spirit/Presence (with us)} he will convince the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment. 9 Concerning sin, because they don’t believe in me. 10 Concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you’ll see me no longer. 11 Concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. {THE scapegoat/azazel?}

     12 I still have many things to tell you, but you cannot bear [bastazó - bear, carry, endure, support] them now. 13 When however the Spirit of the Truth comes, he’ll guide you into all truth, for he won’t speak of (about?) himself, but will [akouó - hear, listen, understand] and [laleó -  speak, talk, utter] and will declare to you the things coming. 14 He will glorify {and magnify?} me. For from that which is mine he will disclose to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine. Therefore I said that he will take what is mine, and will make it known to you.

     16 A little while, and you’ll see me no more. And then again, in a little while, you’ll see me.”

09-18 - 1 Thessalonians 1 8 to 2 7

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

    🕊️reading & study 🕊️

8 - For not only has the message and news of the Lord been told by you (Thessalonian believers) in Macedonia and Achaia, but news of your faith in God has been heard of everywhere, so we need not even say anything. 9 For the good reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, has all been reported to us. 10 And now you are waiting for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath that is coming. {Written pre 70 CE, and the razing of Jerusalem that occurred in that year of 70 CE - Rev.12:(5)6. And refers to the later full scope version, from the “bowls” of Revelation which occur in the sounding of the 7th trumpet. Ps.90:3,5-7—his ‘wrath’ = cause and effect, which includes “dust to dust” aka, entropy. And ashes.} (Isaiah 24:20/Rev.10:4.)

     2:1 - For you yourselves know, brethren, how our coming to you wasn’t in vain. [Acts 17:1-8,13, Paul is writing this letter.] 2 But, as you know, though we had already suffered and been shamefully treated at Philippi, we had boldness in our God to declare to you the gospel of God in the midst of much conflict. (In the previous town to their coming to Thessalonia, the leaders/authorities of Philippi had flogged and then imprisoned them, Acts 16:11-38.)

     3 For our appeal is not due to error, or impurity, or any attempt to mislead. 4 But we have been entrusted by God with the gospel {the Good News message} and so we speak. Not to please man {and the world’s view on things} but to please God. To please the one who tests the heart. 5 For as you know, we never came with words of flattery {ingratiatingly} nor with a pretext for profit and greed. And God is our witness. 6 Nor did we seek honor or glory from you or others, though we could have made demands as apostles of Christ. 7 But we were humble among you, and gentle like a nursing mother taking care of her very own children. {Yesterday’s verses talked about how Paul and the friends and fellow believers traveling with him, had been examples, and in turn the Thessalonian believers were now examples.. Examples of what? Of progressing toward the character, heart and mind like Jesus and oF both he and the Father. They are so close both administer God’s Spirit/Presence. Same as will saturate and “seal” humanity and creation. Ruling Spirit, humble and gentle, love and life.}

Hebrews 1 5-9

 a paraphrased ‘enter the story’

 🍃🕊️  reading & study  🕊️🍃

06/09 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

5 - For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son, today I’ve begotten you”? {Only straight out from God one.. forever “Firstborn of creation”. Whereas mankind and before mankind, angelkind are created/formed beings.. endowed with genuine thinking and reasoning ability.}

     Or again, “I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son”? 6 And again {later} when he brought the firstborn into the world, he said, “Let all God's angels worship him.” (Angel worship was going on. A trend/spirit. We have many different trends today, both okd and new.) 7 Of the angels he said, “He makes his angels winds, his servants a flame of fire.” 8 But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is age to age, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. 9 You love righteousness and hate wickedness, therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness and exultation beyond your companions [métoxos - (those who are your) fellow(s), partaker(s); from metexo - share in, meta - change afterwards, and mexo - have —properly change due to sharing, i.e. from being an active partaker with].” ..{To love righteousness/rightness/justice and hate wicked-ness, grows friuit - of gladness, joy, happiness, contentment; root and foundation being in friendship with Father and Son.. They are so close both administer God’s Spirit/Presence, same as will “seal” and saturate humanity and creation. The Son is vastly superior to the angels, and to all. The first, greek proto. The prototype. “We shall be like him” but he is forever first. “All of heaven and all of earth” are being “gathered into Him” Eph.1:10. After which, when fully completed, will be the “the regenesis, the “palin/again-genesis, fiery, of Rev.21:1-5. Last mention, out of 3, of a lake of fire, at a very large fiery event.}

Luke 22:17-23

 🍃🕊️11/10 - GospeL Verses 🍃🕊️

        By Necessity Paraphrased

Luke’s Account — 17 - And Jesus took a cup, and when he had given thanks, said, “Take this, and share it among yourselves. 18 For I tell you I will not drink of the fruit of the vine again until the kingdom of God comes.” 19 And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, he said, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood. 21 But listen, the hand of he who betrays me is with me at the table. 22 For the Son of Man goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!” 23 And they began to question one another, which of them it could be who would ever do such a thing.

     A formula for success? He gave on the eve of his crucifixion: 📜🍞+🍷🕊️(+Logic) The scripture (the written logos) dipped into, saturated with, God’s Spirit/Presence. The root word of logic is logos.
