GospeL Verses ~ Mark 8:11-21

11 - The Pharisees came and began to argue with Jesus, asking him for a sign from heaven to test him. 12 He sighed deeply in his spirit and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly, I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation.” 13 And he left them, got into the boat and went back to the other side.

     14 Now they had forgotten to bring any bread, and had only one loaf with them in the boat. 15 And he cautioned them, saying, “Watch out, and beware the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.” 16 And so they began to discuss with one another the fact that they had no bread. 17 And Jesus, knowing it, said, “Why are you discussing the fact that we have no bread? Do you not yet see and understand? Are your hearts so hard? 18 Having eyes can you not see? And having ears can you not hear? Don’t you remember 19 when I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you collect afterwards?” They said to him, “Twelve.” 20 “And the seven for the four thousand, how many baskets of broken pieces were left?” And they said, “Seven.”

     21 And he said to them, “Do you not yet understand?”

4 - Little children, you are from God and have overcome them (the anti-Christs/Christ deniers) for he (God) who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world (“the ‘god’ of this world” system). 5 They are from the world, so they speak from the world, and - the world - listens to them. 6 We are from God. Whoever knows God hears us. Whoever is not from God does not hear us. By this we know the Spirit of truth from the spirit of error. (Are we listening to and hearing God? Or are we listening to the world/Satan?)
