GospeL Verses ~ Mark 9:25-32
25 - And when Jesus saw that a crowd was gathering, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying, “Spirit of muteness and deafness, I command you, come out of him and do not enter him again.” 26 Then after crying out and convulsing him, it came out, and the boy lay there like a corpse, so that most of them said, “He is dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he stood up.
28 Later when he had gone into the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?” 29 He answered, “This kind can’t be driven out except by prayer.”
30 They went on from there, passing through Galilee. And he didn’t want anyone to know, 31 for he was telling his disciples, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days he will rise.” 32 But they didn’t understand what he meant, and were afraid to ask him.

4 - I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, according as we are commanded by the Father. 5 And now I ask you, dear lady (believing group) - not as though I were writing you a new commandment [entolé - an injunction, order, command] - but the one we have had from the beginning > that we love one another. 6 And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments [entolé - an injunction, order, command] (instruction) this is the command/instruction, just as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it. 7 For - many deceivers - have gone out into the world, those who deny the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is a deceiver and antichrist. 8 Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward! 9 Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in > the teaching of Christ - does not have God. Whoever abides in - Christ’s - teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring THIS teaching, do not receive them or celebrate their message, 11 for whoever does, takes part in their wickedness.
12 Though I have much to write to you, I would rather not use paper and ink. Instead I hope to come to you and talk face to face, so that our joy may be complete.
