10-31 - MARK 13 28-37

 πŸŒ™ [Jesus continues.] 28 - “Learn a lesson from the fig tree (one meaning, Israel). As soon as the branches become tender with buds, and puts out leaves, you know soon summer is coming. 29 So too, when you see these things I’ve told you taking place, know that your Lord is near, at the very gates. 30 Truly, I tell you, this generation/race [genea] will not pass away until all these things occur. 31 (This) Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

     32 But concerning that day, or what hour, no one knows. Not the angels in heaven. Not even the Son. But only the Father. 33 So be watchful and on guard. For you don’t know the time when it comes.

     34 It’s like someone going on a long journey, when he leaves, he puts his hired servants in charge, each with their work, and commands the gate keeper to stay awake and watchful. 35 Therefore stay

attentive, for you don’t know when the master of the house is returning - in the evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or in the morning - 36 lest he come suddenly and find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you I say to aLL. Stay awake and attentive.”

     {70 CE was a “day of the LORD” upon that nation - an earthly judgment, a ‘smaller’ scope or scale fulfillment. But prophecy is a thing that tel-escopes to the ‘end’. (Greek word “tel” means the “end-aim”) — prophecy fulfillment telescopes to the full “end-aim”. Another telescoping is from the Lord’s so brief first advent, to his full scope version, his long second advent.}
